Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken 2 Sure-me ( I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying 2) is an anime short that really doesn't need any extensive examination to really comprehend. Adapted from the manga of the same name and garnering enough buzz to receive a 2nd season, those that are fans of the 1st installment would be treated to the same kind of charm in this follow-up. It's an anime short that tells a very simple, yet sweet tale, documenting the everyday lives of a married couple learning to cope with each other, despite their obvious differences. The biggest highlight of

Firstly, let me start of by saying that this is my first review, so it might not be as good as other reviews.
Also, I'll try my best not to include any spoilers at all. Ok apart from that. I would love to say that the second season of Danna (because title is too long) is honestly unexpectedly even more enjoyable than the previous season, which was why I felt compelled to write this review in the first place. I mean I do have better things to do with my time. Moving on, so why do I like this show? To sum it up rather quickly, because this ... Nov 5, 2015
This heart-warming series about an otaku's amazing marriage to a mostly-ordinary girl continues into season 2. Like the first season, the majority of the show is composed of 4-koma like short events, which are often humorous. The show doesn't exploit the discovery in the last episode of season 1 as much as I thought it would. Regardless, it does a great job of continuing the feel-good relationship-based atmosphere of the first season. As usual, the first season is mandatory as there isn't any character exposition.
Animation: Expect the same as the first season, not really the prettiest thing out there but it does the job. Like the ... Aug 30, 2015
(This has been adapted from my blog/reddit thread. Spoilers ahead!)
There are friends and there is family, both of which are important relationships to have and to maintain. But there is arguably one that is even greater, or at the minimum is incredibly unique when compared to the previous two: the connection to a lover. The wife or husband, the companion, the darling; the relationship that is made between two people who love each other, more so than anyone else, is a special bond that is extremely valuable. After all, they do not include the phrase “’till death do you part” because it sounds cool. I ... Jul 4, 2015
I won't be writing a review on the first season because I'm focusing on anime series from Spring 2015 onward (if not there would be too many reviews to write....)
Just like the first season it had the comedy and character personalities are still there! For an anime short I wished it would have been longer than 3 minutes; but I guess that's how the creators brought out the comedy and characters in the series Each episode is short and the series is great for laughs so I would recommend this to comedy lovers or people who like to see parodies in other anime series (there are a few ... This'll be very brief, as not much is different to season 1, which I already reviewed.
Story: The humor is the same, the jokes are still funny, it's pretty much just more of the same (which is cool with me). 8/10 Art: Nothing different here either. Simplistic, yes, but tolerable. 6/10 ... Jan 22, 2018
I dived into this short 4-koma manga with extremely low expectations as it was just a 3 minute per ep series. I came out of my binge-watch wholly satisfied and revitalized. That isn’t to say I rated it highly because it is really short and has about as much quality as its runtime- but that is to say, it pretty much used every second of every minute to the fullest.
To finally talk about what makes it so great; I would have to point out how progressive the initial season is. I am mainly talking about how Kaoru and Hajime having legitimate gripes when it came ... Aug 16, 2016
Basically everything that I said about the first season rings about the same for this season, as its more or less the same as last season, but with different antics and such going down. However theres a lot less screentime with the titular husband dude, so that kinda bogs things down a bit. Either way this anime is still pretty good, and the episodes are still all under 5 minutes, which is good if you want to just watch shit to watch shit. Also the baby that was so important during the last episode of the first season is nowhere to be seen until the

I was a bit worried about the second season of this show, as the first one's ending suggested the child and the way it changes the protagonist's relationship would be the main theme... But that's only partially the case, as the unrelated slice-of-life moments are also very much present. The funny and wholesome tone is very much sustained, along with the pretty on-point commentary on modern marriage.
For purely subjective reasons I'll rate this slightly lower than the first season (I just really don't like children and I'm very happy my relationship is by mutual agreement devoid of those :P) and a few episodes were a ... Dec 20, 2023
I quite enjoyed I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying season 1. Season 2 is not terrible, but is less essential than that first one. The first one is just so adorable and wholesome, and season 2 is still adorable and wholesome, but the introduction of other characters and having them have their own arcs in an anime that is already extremely short as it is leaves little room for the main characters to have a beautiful moment. There are nice moments on here, don't get me wrong; I mostly enjoyed this anime, but season 2 is not as good as the first. It

A continuation of the antics of husband and wife from season 1, season 2 jumps around with the story a significant amount more than the first.
The big reveal at the end of the first season is left unaddressed until the 10th episode of the second. Leaving this massive plot thread unaddressed until the third-to-last episode made me feel a bit unfulfilled as a viewer. The wit and charm of this series is still as present as ever but, without advancing the plot until there is only nine minutes of animation left felt like the story went nowhere. But what can you expect from a series that ... Dec 10, 2016
FULL DISCLOSURE: This is a repaste of my review of the first season, since the series is so short I reviewed both together. The differences are at the bottom. I have not read the original 4-koma. I strongly recommend watching this as it is really short and enjoyable.
ART+ANIMATION: It’s a 4-koma based anime, so the art won’t be amazing. That being said, everything looks purposeful and there are no outstanding omissions. There are moments within the story with strongly different art / animation to match the situational comedy and they all work well. The animation is standard-issue for this genre. However, there is one episode that uses ... Jun 18, 2021
Beings that I watched the first season of I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying, I decided to see what I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying: 2nd Thread, aka the second season was any good or not. Of course once again all thirteen episodes of this anime are about three minutes long, so you'll be able to watch all of this in one sitting if you choose to do so. I thought that the second season was good & once again there is sort of a story to this anime, then again to me it was mostly just random things happening in

To simply put season 1 and 2 together, it is sweet and enjoyable. It ain't anything special or anything that will blow your mind with it's character development and arc. It is just short clips that has it's humor here and there, some lands and some didn't. It's just one of those sweet, simple anime that you don't need to think and just sit back and relax and watch.
It's a nice sweet romance that I wish I have... watching them being jealous that I wish I had a wife like that lol... while all I have is my 2D waifu and not my 3D ... |
