This is another series written by Kinoko Nasu, author of Fate Stay Night, which takes place in a world parallel to the story of Fate Stay Night. The universe is therefore very dark, tragic and very violent. However, more mature in Kara no Kyoukai. There are similar battles with extensive use of magic. ED are composed by the same composer. (Yuki Kajiura) Be careful to start with the first film Kara no Kyoukai

Both animes have a weak main character at the beginning and evolves during the story. The two characters (Shinji / Shirou) have no motivation and do not really know why they are fighting. Both MC are surrounded by strong female characters: Saber and Rin in Unlimited Blade Works, and Ayanami Souryuu in NGE sympathize and support the hero afterwards. The main difference is that the universe is oriented fantasy, magic in Unlimited Blade Works then Evangelion is a post-apocalyptic universe with mecha. NGE is more psychological than Unlimited Blade Works, however, the main character (Shinji / Shirou) an introspection in his past that will be decisive for its future.  read more

They are both kinda like a survival game. In Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, the characters going after the Holy Grail use these heroic spirits called Servants to aid them in their battles to survive, while in Mirai Nikki or The Future Diary, most of them are equipped with phones that tell them the future to help them try to change their fate... or death. There's also some romance going on with the main boy and girl in each of these series. The last surviving person in Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works gets a wish from the Holy Grail and the last surviving person in  read more

Both animes don't have ecchi fan service. Both animes have an ending sung by Kalafina. This is a story with characters using magic (magical girls in Madoka Magica) Madoka Magica has a deceptive appearance. Like Unlimited Blade Works, was a dark universe, violent and tragic. The characters will be faced with realities such as the death of an associate, and the main character (Shirou / Madoka) is destined for a bleak future which they can not escape. With different intentions, and Archer (FSN) in Homura (Madoka Magica) desperately want to prevent this fate is realized.

Both shows deconstruct the concept of what it means to be a hero. Another thing they have in common is that they are darker than their previous counterpart series with better visuals, soundtrack, and artwork.

These anime can be similar because of the goal of the main characters. Let me explain. Both Emiya (fate) and Eren (Shingeki) developped some kind of power to overcome an extremely powerful opponent. Both of them have to fight for their lives and for the lives of those they care. In the end, both of them make a huge difference in their respective way. I highly recommend both of these anime as mush as the entire Fate series although fate zero can take some time to give us some good figthing scenes.

Both animes have a romance between the two main characters (Shiki-Kokuto / Shirou-rin) Both animes are very dark, violent and psychological.

First of all they both have a similar plot in that both are centered around servival of the best. They both revolve around the characters reciving aid from an ally that is more powerful then themselves.(fate zero is reserected magical super spirit people while beatless is androids with hyber andvanced ai and abilities) they both have a very interesting cast that all have their own objectives and desires out of these events. finally they both have many different interesting and changing relations between each character (for fate both spirits and humans, for beatless both android and human)

Both series have supernatural and magical elements as well as humans who use fictional beings to achieve their objective but at the same time form bonds with them as well in an urban city like setting. When it comes to battles, both shows have a battle royale style in the city. Legends and myth both play a huge role as well uncovering huge secrets that will shock the viewers. Not to mention I happen to stumble upon some character similarities: Yugi-Shirou Yami Yugi-Archer Kaiba-Gilgamesh and Kirei Jonouchi-Shinji Matou Mai-Rin Tohsaka and Saber

This is a story with characters using magic (magical girls) Madoka Magica has a deceptive appearance. Like Fate, was a dark universe, violent and tragic. Epic battles in both animes in front of imminent pre-apocalyptic situation. This movie Madoka is the last part of the Madoka Magica series.

Both animes are in a pre / post-apocalyptic era. Akira: it is the third world war between 1988 Fate: this is the 4th Holy Grail War and each has ravaged the city in which the main characters live. (Respectively Fuyuki City and Tokyo for Fate and Akira) I also think the movie Akira will help the fans of Fate to better understand the views of Gilgamesh on humanity. The universe is more fantasy / magic in the modern world (2000s) in Fate / Stay Night. Akira takes place in a dystopian futuristic universe. (2019)

If you look at the animation as an art, I think you will enjoy as much as Garden of Words Unlimited Blade Works. Indeed, the two animes have great animation and impressive backgrounds. Moreover both animes have a romantic relationship with the protagonists who fail to declare the beginning. (Rin / Shirou, Yukari / Takao) Contrary to Garden of Words is a slice of life, Unlimited Blade Works is an anime with action, fighting and supernatural / fantasy environment. Finally, look at the two at least to understand what is capable Japanese animation today.

Fate Stay Night is originally a visual novel with three routes in which the hero will make different choices in favor of one of the heroines. (Saber / Rin / Sakura) Like Re Zero, there will be several scenarios. Both animes have a fantasy world where the use of magic predominates. Although Re Zero appears initially as a series rather comic, later the series turns out to be more serious and psychological as much as Fate Stay Night.
