Ore Monogatari!!

With his muscular build and tall stature, Takeo Gouda is no ordinary high school freshman. However, behind Takeo's intimidating appearance lies a pure heart of gold, and he is considered a hero by his male peers for his courage and chivalry.

Unfortunately for Takeo, his appearance does not bode well for his love life. As if his looks were not already enough to scare the opposite sex away, Takeo's cool, handsome best friend and constant companion Makoto Sunakawa easily, and unintentionally, steals the hearts of the female students—including every girl Takeo has ever liked.

One day, when Takeo saves cute Rinko Yamato from being molested, he falls in love with her instantly. Unfortunately, he suspects that she might be interested in Sunakawa. Despite his romantic feelings for Yamato continuing to bloom, Takeo decides to act as her cupid, even as he yearns for his own love story.

Romansa komedi yang beda dari biasanya. Bukannya cowok keren yang dapet cewek, malah si Takeo—cowok gede, rame, dan super baik—yang jadi pemeran utamanya. Ceritanya simpel, manis, dan bener-bener wholesome. Gak cuma soal cinta, tapi juga soal kebaikan, persahabatan, dan cinta yang gak lihat penampilan.

Ceritanya lebih ke episodik, tiap episode ngasih momen-momen kecil yang hangat atau kocak. Gak ada drama cinta segitiga—Takeo dan Rinko jadian dari awal dan tetap solid. Fokusnya justru ke gimana mereka saling dukung satu sama lain. Nyegerin banget.

Mixed Feelings

optimistic slice-of-life bright dramedy with a focus on the small stuff that we try to sweat and then leave to fester, self-doubt, body / self-image, petty problems, in the tangle of new love. Pop the bubbles and water the soil.

prefer the manga. Decent adaption, but stylistically adapted too cleanly, like not-all-but-most mainstream stuff post 2000's digi-paint era. Decent-enough translating and intertwining of Aruko's illustrative quirks into movement and set-pieces.
Both voice acting teams did a decent job as well, it's good, it's fine ! The whole endeavor just feels redundant to me, would still recommend to anyone interested who prefer watching anime instead of reading manga.

My love story!


A typical example of "We have an idea and no plan what to do with it" so the comedy romance began, which could not maintain its quality for longer than 3 episodes.

Really, the concept of the giant "Hulk" rescuing a petite girl and becoming her crush is interesting. I was also able to enjoy the first 3 episodes very well, thanks to the characters and humorous scenes.

Instead of the series maintaining its level, everything was gambled away. The process was trapped in a vicious circle, the process was monotonous, the jokes have completely lost their color and I almost only start on the ... monitor in the hope that one of the characters will do or say something interesting. And to top it off, the anime wasn't even romantic.

What is left after that? Only the animations. And that's sad. The rest of the anime isn't fundamentally bad, it's just below par and every episode had at least a minimal glitz. Unfortunately, too much emphasis was placed on clichés (including the fire episode) instead of characters or humor.

[Characters]

There is nothing I like more than sympathetic, bizarre, and complex characters. I don't expect them all to have 300 pages of character development and more character depth than Jesus personally. Simply sympathy is enough for me to satisfy me. And not even that was present.
The protagonist, the Hulk, and the pretty boy are all completely monotonous and have hardly any real deviations, they are just as the template suggests. As soon as you have seen them for 3-5 episodes, nothing will come up where you think "Ohh, typical this character" or "Interesting what's left in his personality", nothing like that. And these are usually the most important aspects of a Slice of Life title.
But the characters weren't fundamentally bad, just far from being up to standard.

Colorful, glittering, and beautiful surroundings and detail. This is almost everything the heart desires.




Conclusion


The anime is still good for in-between. Unfortunately, he has far too many episodes, half would have been enough.
