Hellsing

Both anime have wicked red-clothed protagonists who are some kind of demon fighting against their own kind for the sake of humans. Both anime involve a lot of bloodshed, tons of firepower and insane moves. 

Both have incredibly lazy but superpowerful main characters. Both battle demons/vampires constantly. Both don't have a very well developed main plot, view more for entertainment than story. 

Both main characters are fighting against demons or vampires. And both main characters are very silent, but strong and demon/vampire thereselve. 

Alucard and Dante are very similar to each other. First at all they have big guns and great powers; they're also bored and want to find an equal opponent and perfect competition. If you like characters who get involved in crazy fights with monsters, these are a good choice. 

About blood demons things Devil May Cry have more action in it but they as some same quality try it! 

Both main characters aren't fully humans. Both Alucard and Dante work for people as vampires/demons exterminators and love to shoot. They spread fear and destruction by hand of their two pistols. Plot isn't too developed, both anime are rather bloody exchange of fire.

Really Similar Stories, Short, Bloody and Violent, Cool Main Characters, Adult Language The only major difference is Devil May Cry adds a little emotional touch after every Episode and Hellsing doesn't  

Both anime are dark, both deal with the supernatural, in Hellsing theres vampires and in DMC theres demons. 

In both anime protagonist are male demon, propably unvaliable to kill and it fights for mankind against it's own kind. 

If you liked the bloody moments in hellsing you will like the bloody moments in Devil May Cry.These to animes have guns, blood and good outfits. 

both of the main characters(Dante and Alucard)have some special abilities.They cannot be killed easily,like humans.they protect one girl.They are hunters,that kill vampires,ghosts etc. 

They are both fighting monsters, the main characters are similar. They fight the monsters of their same kind and there is alot of blood and good action. Both use guns. They are both short too but they are both great. 

In both the main character fights his own kind. There's alot of blood shed and supernatural things in both. 

In both animes the main characters are wearing a red coat, both are very cool and are almost invincible... and they have guns 

If you are a fan of mindless fighting, thilling action and amazing graphics this is it for you. Adrenaline rush down to your bones. 

Both series involve a main character with a mysterious past and they both have a tendency to use firearms to protect themselves and others. These series aren't for the weak-stomached however and you should be aware of this before watching either shows.  

The protagonists of both stories are demon/vampire hunters . They are both badass looking :3 

Both DmC and Hellsing have a red coat wearing badass, who uses two guns as weapons, as the main character. Both Dante(DmC) and Alucard(Hellsing) are employed by humans and embark on assignments to kill their own kind demons and vampire respectively. Both also have good soundtracks, but Hellsing has a much better soundtrack when directly compared. Both of them are also poor adaptations of their original source material. 

Overpowerful and basically immortal main character, with supernatural fights

Both focus on hunting down monsters,stylish ultraviolent action,visuals,art as well as a badass anti hero mc who always does their job sucessfully and has some pretty dark super powers as well too. 

Character: Sebastian & Alucard - Akuma (monster) serving a master (ciel = sir hellsing) Story: style & plot kinda different..but similiar monster genre.. 

Ciel's character is similar to Integra's one. They are both very strict, demanding and they will do everything to achieve the goal. What is more, they are perfect examples of "being master" attitude. Alucard and Sebastian are similar because of their fighting abilities, hidden (not every time) dark side and good look ;) Both anime ale pretty dark with a lot of blood and supernatural things included. 

In both animes there's a evil creature (demon/vampire) who have to protect a human master. On the other hands their masters are so serious and never smile......almoust. So if you like master-servent relationship (and england atmosphere) you will love both animes 

In both there are demons, which serve humans. Sebastian looks like Alucard, especially when he is in his "fighting mode" and Ciel looks like Integra in her childhood. Phantomhive family serves the Queen and executes her orders, and Ciel is the young successor of this family. So it looks pretty similar to Hellsing, and even if they have different atmosphere, if you enjoy one you will like the other too. 

Kuroshitsuji is like a less serious, less violent version of Hellsing. Both have to do with demons/vampires working for a human and serving them. They just both have the same sort of feel. 

If you enjoyed the Integra/Alucard dynamic then the Ceil/Sebastian relationship will seem very familiar. They both enjoy a dark element (Hellsing having violent characters and Kuroshitsuji having twisted characters). Side characters provide much of the comic relief in both with Kuroshisuji enjoying much more comedy than Hellsing. The biggest similarity is Alucard and Sebastian. They seem cut from nearly the same mold in terms of character. If you liked one you will for sure like the other. They both chain themselves to humans who clearly need them. They are both very manipulative (even manipulating their masters). And just as it starts to appear they might really have some soul in them they remind you they aren't human they are vampire/demon. read more 

Liked Sebastian? Loved Sebastian? Hated Sebastian? Your answer does not matter, you are gonna like to watch some Alucard action in Hellsing. He is the only person who can defeat a demon in a duel;). PS:I don't recommend Hellsing Ultimate because althought it is more loyal to the original manga and has some marvellous animations, it includes too much second world war events and political issues, so it will be really confusing if you're new to Hellsing story. Go with the TV version for the time being.

Kuroshitsuji and Hellsing have a some what similar storyline but totally different adjectives in the end. They both have a 'Master' and a 'Servant/Guardian'. But they both have dark humor. I dont know if youll like them both but i absolutely loved them :D 

They both have a master-servant relationship. They also both involve the use of fantasy characters as the servant and a human as the master. They both take place in England and the master and servant protect England. In both the master got the servant while in a desperate time of need. Finally, the servant is a really strong, or in other words, a boss-ass bitch. 

A human master, with the assistance of his almighty demonic servant, solve a series of cases with great elegance and effectiveness. 

They're both about vampires. Even though they contrast in art style, plots, and their view of vampires, it's generally all the same vampire fun. 

Both Trinity Blood and Hellsing are good, strong vampire anime. Both the main characters go out and fight the creatures of the night, which gives them friends, but they have to destroy their foe's as well. In short: If you like the one, you will like the other.  

Both main characters are powerful vampires who hunt and kill other vampires. Plots are differnet but both are still similar regardless of that fact, and their both chalk full of vampirey goodness. 

Both animes tell a Story about an religious organisation fighting vampires. The main character in both animes is a vampire himself 

For all those Blood Lovers out there these two are key animes for anyone that is in to Vampires. Both also show that the race does not beget the actions of the individual. 

I think Alcard and Father Able kinda sound a like. Cause Alcard is A demon and Father Able is a vampire/demon well he kinda looks that way to me. but also they kinda have the same thoughts Alcard hates vampires that feast off of humans and wants them all to die. And Father Able also hates the vampires who kill inccont humans so they kind of seem the same to me. 

Trinity Blood, like Hellsing, has vampires, fanatical organizations, and a main character who has different stages of vampiric transformation and is virtually invincible. The two series are also similar in tone and story direction. Any fan of Hellsing would enjoy Trinity Blood. 

Vampires! Doh~! Both anime's are about a organization that gets rid of vampires. The main character works for this organization and is a vampire himself, so to speak. Even though these main characters look very alike they are also very different. Their personality is not the same at all. Abel (Trinity Blood) is a kindhearted priest while Alucard (Hellsing) is more like this fierce vampire hunter, seeking a good fight. Alucard fights with ferocity and often extreme cruelty, rarely intending to kill until his target has been disabled and humiliated. But don't be fooled once Abel might be a kindhearted priest but once he gets into battle he becomes very serious! The other difference between those two is that Abel fights with some sort of creepy Scythe weapon and Alucard uses guns against his opponent. Also both the main characters meet a girl whom the become friends with somewhere in the beginning of the anime. Abel meets Esther and Alucard meets Victoria. The rest is the action, killing and blood flow. read more 

They both are about vampires, very strong vamps. Both of the main vamps have a woman that sorta has control over them. Trinity blood is more funny and not so much blood, while Hellsing is full of blood and spilled guts. 

Produced by Gonzo, both of these Anime involve Vampire, Action, and Supernatural type themes. The main characters are quite similar, as are the plots to each of these stories. 

Vampire series that is classic in my estimation, both Hellsing and Trinity Blood have several similarities: - both series features the theme of vampires involving violence, blood, and gore - both series' main protagonist are somewhat similar with their attitude and skill - both series has great soundtrack as well as action and drama - both series main protagonist takes a young girl under their wings - both series involves secret organizations and also religious themes 

Both working for a company/associations that deals with dealing with creatures, but mainly vampires. The main characters are nearly impossible to beat when at full potential. Both anime are spot on the same. 

Dark and from "Nightow-sama". Both about "unhuman" lifeforms too 

both bloody anime... both good story with a main char using a gun :) 

Both are about guns and fighting bad ass monsters. Gungrave got better and deep story whereas hellsing is way more kickass than gungrave in action... 

Cause the protagonist are a badass 

Another solid gungslinger anime that no one should do without.  

Two words COMPLETE BADASSERY, Gungrave and Hellsing are anime made for real men. Do you like a badass protagonist who rips to shreds anything that stands in their way? Who wipes out an entire field of monsters like it was nothing? If you answered yes, then why are you still reading this recommendation? You should be going to watch these series immediately. Gungrave differs with a greater story and attention to its characters and their relationships. While Hellsing is just pure insanity, non-stop action, blood and gore all the way. So, are you a real man? 

Both are about a quest to destroy vampires, by using vampires And they both have the same kind of dark feeling to it. 

Both are about powerful vampires cooperating with organizations that specialize in killing vampires. The main antagonists are also engaged in mass producing vampires and are part of powerful vampire organizations. 

Both anime are about killing bloodsucking monsters (vampires) to keep the world safe from those evil creatures. Both anime got the regularly dose of action, violence and bloodshed. So if you like those vampire based action anime, I'd say watch this. 

Both have vampires in them. Blood+ is not as gory as Hellsing, but they both have an interesting take on vampires, if your into that stuff 

Vampires and their exterminators (who happen to be vampires as well) - great action shows with catchy storyline and fearless characters will drag you into the world of nightmare that you do not want to wake up from. 

Both are vampire stories, Hellsing is much darker, however Blood + shares some pretty dark moments too. Both main male characters kind of lead, protect and "educate" the female heroine, in really different ways, but the role is quite similar. Both female characters have issues with accepting their "vampiric" nature.  

Both are bloody, interesting, and leave you wanting more.  

Both are sub-par horror anime with lots of blood and dark tones. They both are about insane monsters and organizations going after them. Both have a large fanbase behind them.  

Both series tend to have a "blood bath". That is, the overuse of blood is obviously why you cling to the series, if you are a lover of death like me. In any circumstances, I am saying that the series boils down to genocide. If you enjoy blood, an engaging story and of course, girls with big breasts. both series are you advised for those who like it. 

* Both are bloody or brutal/gorish/ogrish animes... * Both have plenty of action.... * Both have amazing & memorable characters with supernatural abilities [ summary - Diclonius & Vampires/Ghouls ] * Both have epic [EPIC!!!] OP's/OST's.... * Both migh be shocking to an average viewer...but if you like GORE - this is just for you... * Seriously....a lot better than your average •MOE• bs.... 

Both Hellsing and Elfen Lied have similarities in the way the story progresses, and the general idea of some kind of dark being killing a lot of people; but they have enough differences that you don't feel you're watching the same anime over on over again. 

Though both are on vampires, the plot on Hellsing with its dark twists, draws you deeper into the suspenseful realm of vampirism.  

Both series primarily feature vampires and Jirou's design is somewhat of a ripoff of Alucard's design in Hellsing. The difference between the two is that Black Blood Brothers focuses much more on the nature of vampires, but I found that the plot within Hellsing and the general action scenes of the series to be much more intriguing then that of Black Blood Brothers. In other words, if you like Black Blood Brothers you may like Hellsing a lot more. 

It is quite possible, Black Blood Brother's took some bit of insperiation from Hellsing... or not. Both stories are about vampires, but they seperate the vampires into two classes, those in control of their blood lust, and who happen to live lives with humans, and those who happen to be zombie like, no control over their hunger, having become, unlike the others, like a viral infection. 

Vampires hunting lowlife vampires with government aid. 

Both series' main protagonists are vampire hunters despite being part of the race itself. The weapon of choice they use are also guns and they also dress similarly. (in red that is) Both series contain a dark story that's mixed in with action and drama.  

Both gives you ,,the other world" feeling.  

Both series are heavily action oriented and have a dark setting. Alucard and Revy are the Juggernauts of their series. 

Both anime are quite similar in their tone and main cast members and both are just amazing shows 

While Hellsing and Black Lagoon seem vastly different on paper. The shows are actually pretty similar, both shows follow a character who is adapting to a dangerous and alien environment. Both shows art style is pretty similar and they both feature amazing action sequences. The unique cast of characters In both shows are what make them so interesting, and can even make you laugh sometimes with how obnoxious they are.  

Both series involve vampires, yet more importantly both series are classics done in older styles which some may pass up because of this. Vampires are scary in both, yet the protagonist who is an anti-hero ends up a major draw. 

BLOODSUCKERS! and they do their job well in the human world , both simmilair in the clothing style, wide top hat, long capelike jackets, handgloves, dressed mostly in 1 color, put their service to humans and have terrifying skills! 

Main characters in both shows possess powerful vampiric abilities, albeit of different origin (Alucard from Hellsing is a vampire, while D from Vampire Hunter D is a dhampir, half-vampire). Those characters are also humanity's allies who fight with enemies, which are mostly other vampires and their minions. Both shiws contain dark atmosphere abd depiction of violence.

A-class shows with vampires as main heroes, who're deffending us from their evil brothers. 

Both are based around vampire themed stories, with a gothic twist to them and both share elements of action and moments of drama too. And also both have really nice to look at artstyles and character designs too. 

In both animes the is a similar kind of story of joining up with a group to hunt down your own kind in order to protect human kind. both animes are action packed and have a very good story line.  

Both series presents a similar feeling that involves the world of the supernatural. Both series contains a main protagonist who is considered a "hunter" of sorts, who often gets into fights while questioning on who they are themselves. Both series contain a lot of action, drama, and explores the issue of identity in some cases. It has a serious tone and as well as an eerie soundtrack with the backgrounds. 

Both are dark supernatural horror themed stories, that focus around a group characters belonging to an organization that deals in taking down supernatural threats.  

Both protagonist have awesome fighting skills, and both are fighting and drama type, lots of blood and action in both 

Both are very violent and gory. Both also have little story and mainly focus on action. If you like Afro then you'll definitely like Hellsing. 

Music and animation with a very similar feel Classics that are often forgotten Darker than they appear Both have a gun-wielding main character who can't seem to lose, with two girls at his side.

Both animes include blood and vampires. "Royal" vampires and the "unpure" vampires, who are to be eliminated, are present in both series. The main heroines, Yuuki and Seras Victoria tend to have similar personalities.  

Both are vampire themed stories,that share broody and spooky atmospheres,elements of action and also female characters that are caught up in the strange supernatural world, that is around them. 

Both focus on a young protagonists struggles getting used to their new, dangerous, dark selves. 

Hellsing is similar to Tokyo Ghoul as both are in the "horror" genre of anime. This is a genre which often is not meant to be scary, rather it is an anime which is not afraid to show plenty of blood, guts and gore. This can be quite refreshing as anime these days quite often seems to be oversensitized. With massive battles taking place in shounen anime finishing without a single drop of blood being spilt. To summarise, Hellsing is a show about a secret organisation (named Hellsing) which goes around killing vampires, ghouls, and other supernatural foes that threaten the people of England. The story is focused around the main character, Alucard. Alucard himself is a vampire and a powerful one too. Yet due to an ancient oath Alucard has sworn to assist the Hellsing organisation in their endeavours e.g. monster slaying. From tyrannical bloodsuckers who want anarchy in the streets, to Nazis attempting to raise an entire battalion of vampires to reclaim Germany. There's always something deadly and horrific going on in the world of Hellsing, making it a very enjoyable watch. Like Tokyo Ghoul, Hellsing is a supernatural thriller which bases its' story around monsters causing havoc to the modern world. With the only noticeable difference being that Hellsing has a much larger focus on religion, with strong references to the historic rivalry between catholics and protestants. I believe that Hellsing's plot is not particularly complex so its suitable for new anime watchers as well as more cultured ones. And although this anime is rather old now, the animation is of high quality so it's hardly an eyesore. Personally I strongly recommend this anime to anyone who enjoyed Tokyo ghoul and anyone who is a fan of the anime horror genre. This is a classic horror and an absolute must watch for any anime fan. read more 

-The second main character from both series (aka Seras and Mika) are forced to become part-vampires who at first refuse to drink blood. -Organizations that fight against vampires. -Both the main characters are shown to be terribly strong; some might even say overpowered. -The weapons the characters use are specially designed to be used against vampires. 

Wryyy... The undead have come to do damage! There will also be undead humor and an organization managing all that cold-blooded business, pitting the undead against the undead. Of course, the atmosphere will be set to be fittingly sinister when need be in both shows, making the occasional light moment stand out.  

Both of these anime have artificially created vampires and a very dark theme. If you like horror/gore, I'd recommend you to watch them. 

Both have supernatural beings involved; Chrno Crusade with demons and Hellsing with vampires. They also use one superior monster to fight its own kind along with a blond haired girl who is bound to the monster by some sort of means. These two series also give off a "Christian feel" to them since there are religious phrases/prayers uttered when demolishing an enemy such as amen. In addition, there are scenes with churches, crosses, and priests. Chrno Crusade and Hellsing also use man-made weapons for battle (guns). 

Both Animes feature quite a dark story with somewhat sadistic anti-heroes as protagonists. 

both have mystery, violence,and blood. If you enjoyed higurashi then i strongly recommend this anime. 

Neuro and Yako are really similar to Alucard and Integra (when she was small of course) and Neuro's hellish powers and demeanor remind me very much of the ones of Alucard. If you like Hellsing, I'm certain you like Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro and the other way around.
