"Umi Daaaaa!~" - Sanzein Nagi
Actually both shows have somehow with water, see, ocean... an mermaids!.
Plots might be far away from each other but their still both comedy and a little bit of romance stories. Oh, and both have lots of nudity for those who like ecchi.
even the drawing style (specially the eyes) look alot alike.

Galaxy Angel addpermalink

While not Ecchi like Umisho, it does have cute girls ;P. Galaxy Angel does share similar comedy attributes as Umisho , and if your still looking for a break from your normal dramas and think plot stories, then give Galaxy Angels a try. The lack of plot makes it easy to pick up and have a good carefree laugh.

For the real "otaku's", I'll say: Both have ecchi.

For people who actually care about the shows and not just animated boobs.

Although Umisho deals with Ecchi overall, in Tonagura! they only deal with ecchi of one person point-of-view. The art does match quite a bit, but the story's are different on multiply levels. But then again, the art's pretty much the same, just like some characters are similar. The comedy are both of the same factor, and some situations are exactly the same.

Both shows are comedies with great characters. Although Umisho has a more coherent plot than Inukami, and their stories are about completely different things, they both have one thing in common:

They're both extremely funny in some very, very, very, very, very WRONG ways :D

If you liked Inukami then you'll definitely like Umisho - and vice versa.

Also, I think they have the same animators, so It's very much like the same.

While one deals with outerspace aliens, lots of ecchi and humor and the other one deals with swimming humans and lots of ecchi and humor.. there's not much of a difference in it. But the animation in Umisho is on a higher level than the one in TLR, the story's are different but characters deal similarities.
