Himegoto

Analysing a piece of fiction often begins with understanding the author's intentions; specifically, why this piece of work was made. Sometimes this is easy and can be done from the synopsis - for example, Shawshank Redemption is an example of the injustices of the American social system in terms of justice and rehabilitation. Others, it is not so easy, such as is the case for Mawaru Penguindrum or this anime, Himegoto.

Being an anime about a crossdressing girl with heaps of up-skirt dick-shots and short episode runtimes, you roll your eyes and presume the basest of intentions: fetish. You would expect a demographic of trap-fans, right? ... However, we see the show through Hime's perspective, and watch them (we will get onto gender identity later) be teased and sexually assaulted on multiple, hard to watch occasions. This unique view vilifies trap-lovers as perverts and rapists, and it must be quite the masochistic viewing for somebody looking for a quick-fix of up-skirt dick.

So, Himegoto is a poor excuse of demographic targeting and is a failure of a show. Perhaps, or perhaps it's something more complex. Satire, describing the extended LGBT issues of society through their flaws.

The wonderful Hourou Musuko shows a transgender girl coming to terms with her gender identity, and the problems with which she faces in society. Himegoto is not much different, though much more subtle in its approach and using the facets of society that condemn Hime's gender identity to describe it.

There are no words, no conversations to determine an answer. Not once do they ask Hime "are you a girl?", because they find out before they ask each time. Only once does Hime say they are a guy, and it's not a convincing act. It's an interesting question to ask at the end of the series. Is Hime a girl? They certainly look like a girl, and enjoy looking like a girl, they sound like a girl and they act like a girl. In fact, not once does Hime even dress like a guy. There is constant affirmation of their penis, but Hime has plenty of opportunities to revert back acting like a guy, such as at home, and doesn't. Perhaps I should sit down and discuss this phenomenon with some LGBT experts, but from my perspective, Hime is a girl.

And what's interesting, is how that affects the co-cast.

The school-council is essentially a group of perverts that treat Hime like a doll, but most notable of all is their leader, 18 (named as such because, well, she's 18). In episode 1, and several times after, 18 mentions and stresses how attractive she finds Hime, but chooses to punish them sexually and emotionally throughout the series. It is quite clear - 18 is a lesbian (the "Gold Star" variety - she describes Hime's penis as "an evil thing down there"), but struggling to cope with what it means; this newfound attraction to somebody she can't identify the gender of. It's not an uncommon thing to see in the 21st century, either - many people are struggling to understand if they can still be attracted to somebody that their outdated, middle school views of biology tell them that they aren't. Not only do we watch 18 struggling with the fruits of her sexuality, we see her punishment affecting Hime and elicits such sympathy.

Conclusively, the two leads of Himegoto are sending a message:

1) You're perverts

2) It's okay to be attracted to people based on how they act. That is who they are, not what's in their pants.

3) If you're judging people by what's in their pants, you're perverts.

These are surprisingly positive messages that many LGBT activists are trying to teach. It's surprising to see it bundled with so much fanservice, but that's because instead of making children's comics it is aiming straight at the source. Let's go straight to the source of people watching trap-shows - that is, heterosexual men, and teach them the LGBT issues by making them feel uncomfortable with their own actions.

It's like Clockwork Orange with sexual fetishes. Then again, I might just be reading into all of this wrong and Himegoto is actually misjudging it's demographic massively and selling them stuff they don't want to see.

Who knows?

All we can do is ask them.

Alright, so Himegoto is a gender-bender anime, that detail is something that caught my attention before I even knew about this series given I'd seen images of the protagonist around the web a good bit. Once I'd given this anime a chance, I was mildly amused at the show for...around three episodes, but by the end of it I can't say I enjoyed it all that much given that it kinda played it's gimmick out by the last episode.

Alright, let's look at the plot
Episode 1: the plot starts off with the trap protagonist getting harassed by some guys because his parents supposedly travel all ... around building on debt, so with him being their son he is victim to harassment. But after an encounter with the oh-so generous student council, they decide to "protect their student" by paying off his parent's debt, but in turn make him join the student council to be their "toy". After this happens, the show just uses the whole "he has a penis" thing as much as it can. The student council almost forcefully gets him involved in a series of emasculating activities, one in particular being having him put on girl clothing most of the time & others being something that has to have him show off the fact...that he has a penis. And those things happen. For the rest of the show.

There was only one moment in this where it could've taken a small step somewhere, and that was near the end, where Hime is getting upright harassed & almost raped by two dudes and the student council sits there and watches up until the disciplinary committee stops it. At that moment Hime seemed to finally get the message that they were clearly just using him almost entirely for their own sake, but of course to end the show with a happy ending, everyone makes up after they save him from another perv in a park because now they apparently think they were friends the whole time without showing much sign of that, and happy ending. They at least make it look like the student council got the message to stop soloing on Hime and ease off on em in the end, but still, the show had almost no progression.

As for the art & the OST, there isn't anything to say, it's just basic stuff you'd find in your average anime: the art looks just fine and the OSt isn't supposed to have much of a role in this, being a short series of course.

The idea of humor in this show is to put a male in the position that girls in your average anime would or could end up in at some point: panty-shots, wearing skimpy clothing, that kind of stuff, but that felt like that was all this had going for it because nothing but moments of situations of such would occur.

Other than the student council, the others aren't much of a big deal. I mean, you learn that the supporting characters are also entirely a group of traps & they have this little rivalry with the student council, but that's it.
The student council members themselves also don't have much going on other than the fact that they're the only primary characters who are actually the gender they claim to be.
18 is the vice-president, and the one who is the most into the idea of playing with him,
Unko, is kinda just there, even though she is the president
And Albertina, the only one with at least something to go with her character is a popular manga author, but she only got one episode where they explore that.

And that's pretty much it. I don't think this show was particularly interesting, I mean it was a decent little series that maybe some will get a quick chuckle or two out of, but it isn't really something interesting enough for you to care about after you've sat through it all, as I'm sure you'll forget most of what you'd seen in it anyway other than the protagonist. I'd rate this show with maybe a high 5.

Himegoto is something. It's trap heaven; like 50% of the cast are traps. Actually I decided to watch this cuz it has trap fanservice (don't look at me, it's a thing). Also I did this review since I found no female perspective on the show. The jokes are quite trashy and only a few are considered smart like when one of the girls tried to take Hime's clothes off in an art room. Another problem is that Hime and most of the other traps are well cross-dressing against their will. I can get past that, but it would be so much better if most of ... the traps are quite willing to cross-dress. (like Hideyoshi from Baka and Test, and Kuronosuke from Princess Jellyfish). Overall, this is a pretty meh show, and I suggest it if you are into traps or trap jokes.

So this series heavily focuses on the idea of sexualizing traps and really terrible but laughable comedy. It's not too much but for 4 minutes per episode, i don't see how this series can be any more detailed than short snippets of school life. It's fine i guess, it's not a great story line but it's able to be intresting enough to keep me not too bored especially considering the short length. Great use of terrible comedy. I hated myself for somewhat laughing at some terrible jokes like male students still sexualizing and falling in love ... with the "girl" or the student council and their ridiculous idea of keeping "her" as a pet.

Overall the bare fundamentals are there but i don't think there's more than that.

The artwork is decently good, somewhat convincing, especially the main character, i somewhat got convinced at times that it's an actual girl for once. As usual the bare fundamentals like drawing a face and making everything looking cutsey and stuff is there however it lacks for shading and certain distinct features that make the art look rather animated. Colours were sort of ok, most of the time ignoring background lighting but maintains a nice accurate colour for the clothing. But it's fine i guess. It's convincing and bearable and i somewhat have a soft spot for cute characters so it scores decently.

Sound was what got me impressed. Or should i say impressed from this series. Most of the audio is fine, maybe the "girls" should have more distinct differentiation from the actual girls. It seems at times that these "girls" have a female voice actress speaking which makes it a bit odd but nonetheless convincing. There is still the lack of space in the audio but it's not a major problem since most anime can barely replicate it anyways. What got me impressed was the existence of an opening and closing song, which for 4 minutes series is kind of surprising for me.

I don't expect much from character development as of now. No 4 minute series has ever convinced me that somehow they can bring characters to that much detail. And this is no exception. There is a lack of distinct character personality with somewhat everyone just has the same idea of sexualizing "her". Most of the personalities are somewhat generic at best but they can sometimes be quite bubbly and fun to watch despite being rather shallow and repetitive. It's not hateful, it's just good. It fairs good compared to other short series but are no match for longer titles.

I got to say. I kind of enjoyed it. It's hell of confusing, making me question myself on my soft spot for traps and cute stuff. It's a fun and enjoyable series despite the terrible storyline and average art and characters. Overall i didn't think it's bad at all, it's rather enjoyable having the question myself.

This is a comedic series about a trap.

Not too much to say about it. It's sort of one dimensional in that most episodes are basically about hime being exposed or embarassed about being a trap. Still, they are pulled off well enough to be enjoyable. There are other jokes as well, but they're not the main focus; they're more witty one-liner type ones. Also, there's a decent amount of trap fanservice if you're into that. First time I've ever seen panty shots of guy's bulges. I think this anime would get a lower score, but I haven't seen much stuff about traps, so that gives ... it some uniqueness. That said, it's not the type of anime you can marathon. Most I've done is 4 episodes.

The series also had hidden potential. Over time, hime goes from being very against the idea of crossdressing to being ambivalent to clearly enjoying it. That could've been explored indepth. 18+ is interested in him so there was romantic potential as well. Almost all of the characters had a lot of potential for being fleshed out. It's a very big shame that it was only 3.5 minutes long and not made into less of a comedic series.

Being 3.5 minutes per episode, it's not a massive investment to try it. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes traps or wants to check out something different.

Himegoto is an outstanding anime showcasing the erotic nature of traps. I was full mast the entire time while watching. All twelve of the 4 minute long episodes managed to make me feel berry up inside. Upon the ashes of my former self I lay my crown. I have forsaken my lust for material possessions and my need for sexual gratification. I no longer am satisfied with women. I only feel something for anime traps. Himegoto is eternal and shall not be forgotten by time or space. I shall forget myself in anime traps and transcend my human flaws. I won't judge those who don't, ... but I encourage all to try.

I quiet enjoyed this short 4-min. episode anime. Its plot was good nothing much, but then again short series like these don't ever really have one. For a short series the plot was still good compared to others. I am very picky when it comes to art, but this anime had very good art. I usually find myself cringing when I come across these short series because of how crappy the art is,but the animation was great. The characters were fitting and the voices matched with the theme and plot of the story, no complain there. It was a fun ride and would definitely recommend ... this to someone who is looking for a quick laugh and, obviously, is into the cross-dressing thing.

Himegoto is more than just a comedy or a romantic drama...

It's a beautiful work of art...

It's a social commentary on mistreating people who don't fit with "the norm" and the effects that said mistreatment can have on someone.

From episode 1 we are introduced to the lead character, Hime Arikawa, and the 3 girls who make up the student council. These characters are all crucial to the plot and serve as the driving force of the shows narrative as it is through the poor treatment of Hime by the student council that reveals the true purpose of the show, this is especially clear in the case ... of 18-kin.

18-kin sees Hime as nothing but a toy that she can use for her sick and sadistic mind to torture, she doesn't care for him in the slightest unless it directly affects her ability to play with him. Hime is constantly put through vile and wicked torture and humiliation by 18-kin and the student council, but throughout this Hime somehow begins to open their hearts and they eventually start to become what seems like friends.

This is all comes together at the end where they put their new-found respect and friendship with Hime on the line and must reflect on their treatment of him in the past. I won't spoil anything as this is possibly the greatest end to a series to date.


Himegoto manages to reach everyone who views it differently, whether that be through its themes of friendship and family, heartbreak and betrayal, or even it's more "mature themes", because of this I believe that this show transcends all other media and stands as not only a masterpiece of a show but also a masterpiece of art.

In short, Himegoto is the greatest thing ever created.

Himegoto: Secret PRINCEss is a 2014 comedy anime about Hime Arikawa, a highschooler boy who is in overwhelming debt thanks to his parents' greed. One day, some of the debt collectors of Arikawa are beaten up by the Shimoshina Student Council, which consists of R18+-san, Unko-san, and a girl who's name I forgot. They make Arikawa join the Shimoshina Student Council and pay off all his debts on one condition; he has to spend the rest of his highschool days dressed up as a girl.

Now the "comedy" in this anime is really repetitive. Most of it consists of "look, he's a trap. haha get the ... joke? he has a dick, it is funny, now laugh." There was only one joke I chuckled at and it in itself is very lowbrow. The art is fine, it was probably a low-budget anime anyways. The voice-acting ranges from "ok" to "distracting", especially in R18+-san's case, her voice kind of distracts you because it's so differently recorded than the rest of the cast. The characters are really one-trick-ponies with one joke to their name. And the main character is really really dumb, especially at the ending of the series. Now, it's not a bad show (not too far from being bad though.) It's just why would you watch this? It's humor is repetitive, all the characters are one-sided, the audio is somewhat ok, and the art.. well the art is fine I guess. If you would ask me, no, I would not recommend it. (if that wasn't clearly obvious.)

Overall, it's not bad. Just extremely mediocre.

I am devastated that there is only 1 positive review at the top. Himegoto is the perfect reflection of the sinful human actions revolving around the deadly sin of lust.

Genevan philosopher, writer, and composer Jean-Jacques Rousseau believed that man was good by nature, and that the unnaturalness of society had damned man into this selfish greedy being. Such a controversial idea was taken and implemented in the Japanese animated cartoon "Himegoto", which is based on a 4-panel Japanese comic with the same name, created by the author Tsukudani Norio. This is not all Himegoto takes ... in its embodiment of what is one of the most underrated pieces of eastern literature to exist, probably rivalling authors such as Sun Tzu. It takes in another controversial topic, commonly known as "traps". On 00:00:07 3rd August 2020 UTC+0, user u/AnimemesMod announced the banning of the word "trap" in an attempt to rule out the transphobia it had believed to have existed within the use of the word. Multiple redditors screeched at these mods telling them that the wrong choice has been made. Such a change was so great that there was not one day with one post that didn't mention this new rule with each meme, long time lurkers came out just to post their sheer rage at such distraught. The legacy of such a tragic incident is all memories now. The only push to such an incident this large was made by anime listing site Anilist which had the same type of announcement on 24th October 2020, reactions were slightly more civil.

What I am trying to get at is not that you need a high IQ to understand the extremely subtle themes, and get a solid grasp of gender identity studies, rather the mere message of the anime when leaving it. Being a crossdresser is difficult, and Himegoto answers every question of such a topic, no-fail.

So many crimes—quite possibly against humanity—in Himegoto has been committed that I am actually going to make myself deeply analyse the footage myself one day just to see how much atrocities and violations have been committed, and yes, this is normally against other fellow free humans such as Hime and the other crossdressers. At the beginning of the story, it is clear that Hime had no intention of cross-dressing after being molested by the two men in black suits. But the student council president forced him to wear such feminine attire and pushed him into being at the lower end of the chain of beings, sitting at an animal level, namely the dog. Everything was done against his will. Everything from joining contests to swimming. Everything. Such a message so powerful makes my dead soul cry to come back just to shed tears unparalleled beauty. Episode 12, as one top review will already tell you, is the sole pinnacle of intense emotions following into one's heart, enough to make the gloomiest of teenagers feel true sorrow. The animation was as CoMix Wave and KyoAni joined forces to make this. I simply cannot express this beauty with just words.

All in all, this review, and quite possibly other opinions are pointless. This is an experience you must see for yourself to get the true grasp of Hime's hellhole of life at school. 10/10 message. I will link the blog showing all of Himegoto's crimes here on this review one day. As for now, I must think about such a dangerous race of intelligent individuals and what I am doing here on this earth.

This is the worst anime I've ever seen, I had to watch this as a challenge to settle a bet

It's pure trash, And I think it knows how trashy it is. It's all lewd jokes, It's ridiculous and if you watch this expecting anything serious to happen you're a fool

I've never been so uncomfortable watching an anime, But it's like a perpetual car crash you just cannot look away from. They say that if you go through a tragedy with somebody it makes you closer, That's exactly what it's like with the characters, You hate everything going on that you seek comfort in the characters ... and it works

I think everyone should watch this anime just to experience the weird sadistic fascination I felt while watching it, You'll regret it, And that's what makes it fun

To be sure: this is a guilty pleasure, but to be sure: it is very pleasurable.

Allow me to provide the synopsis for almost every one of these thirteen 4-minute episodes:

1: Hime is being cute.
2: Hime gets sexually harassed/molested.
3: Hime is being cute.
4: Hime gets humiliated.
5: Someone is shocked to discover that Hime is male.
6: Said someone is either disgusted or more usually is like: "That's even better!" .
... 7: Hime is being cute.

Then there are some other jokes which invariably centre around either A) sexual harassment, or B) some character implausibly not being the sex he appears to be at first glance.

That is it but, man is it cute and sometimes actually funny.

Absolute garbage. And that's not coming from some salty moe-hating weeb who thinks any anime with a pink color scheme is trash. This review is coming from an ACTUAL TRAP. I am a professional cosplayer/crossplayer who finds the gender-bender genre amusing for obvious reasons. I went into this wanting to see an entertaining trap anime, but was instead treated to the abuse, sexual assault, and rape of an innocent boy who wanted no part in this. The protagonist, Hime, is the only likable character and his internal character development from hating crossdressing to enjoying it reminds me of myself. Too bad he gets groped, humiliated, ... and effectively raped throughout the 52 minute runtime. Halfway through I turned up the playback speed to double because it couldn't go fast enough. Instead it got worse and worse and an anime that could have been uproariously funny or provided an interesting take on self-discovery turned into sheer child abuse. It made me very uncomfortable and I just felt bad for the protagonist by the end. The main supporting characters excepting the Public Morals Committee were shallow, cruel, and downright gross. The soundtrack was dull, and very cliche. The visual design was nice, although a bit typical for the genre. The only redeeming quality of this flaming garbage dump is the interesting character development in the protagonist, that is, all 5 minutes of it. It's really too bad that this went the way it did, relying on sexual humor and harassment in a cheap bid for laughs. This could have been wonderful, but turned out to be a depressing story about an abused boy.

Before I talk about the show there is one thing I want to mention. The pun in the title is actually kind of clever and made me laugh when I realized it. Okay on to the review.

The story is about a poor, feminine boy named Hime being paid by rich people to whore out and cross dress for them and he agrees to this because his parents are assholes and left all of their debt in his name. And when I say 'whore out' I mean it, you see his penis wobble around a lot in this show, don't worry they cover it up with ... his panties (which he wears even before he cross dresses for them... for whatever reason).

The art and sound are all that you would expect from a 5-minute episode kind of show. Not good, not bad, enough. Except for the penis physics, they're surprisingly well animated compared to everything else, it's always bobbing up and down and the world just seems to aligned perfectly so you see it constantly, that's where all the budget went, huh?

Now here's the part that really bugs me about this show, the part that really grinds my gears: the characters. All the main characters in this show (except for Hime) are all horrible, maybe not Makoto Itou from 'School Days' horrible, but up there. Unko, Belle, and 18+ (I don't remember her real name, I don't care enough) are complete assholes. There is a scene near the end, that I won't spoil, but my jaw dropped while watching it, I couldn't fathom what was happening or at how horrible these people are... just watching it and smiling and even recording it. That's when it clicked in my head that it's not just a slightly sadistic cute show, but a slightly cute Sadistic show. The side characters aren't much better, Hime's little brother, Kaguya, tries constantly to have sex with his brother which was funny in "I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying" and cute in 'Candy Boys' but here it's just weird and uncomfortable. All the other people are forgettable with the only feature that stands out is that they all cross-dress.
'No. 1' is the only other character I like in this show. She gets verbally abused a lot by Kaguya though, poor girl. I think Kaguya does it out of sexual frustration, but I'm not certain.

Now the only question left is: Why do I like this show? That's a great question and I'll give you the conclusion that I came to after rewatching the show a lot:

Hime Arikawa is such a likable character. He's cute, he's not dumb but no genius so he can know what's he talking about and be stupidly cute. He's always nice and tries to put his best foot forward (except for certain moments), he wants to make other people happy even if it's not in his best interest. When he cries you kind of want to hold him and make him feel better, the only bad thing about him is that he doesn't know when to cross the line until it's too late and his entire family is horrible. He's a lot like a puppy actually and contrary to popular belief puppies are cuter than kittens.

Porn could be the reason too, but that answer doesn't really make me look good now does?

Give the show a watch, I want people to suffer with me. Cheers.

This is truly a masterpiece of our time rivaled by only evangelion and one piece but it still comes out on top. My only complaint is that there isn't more of it. i would sell my liver to see hime do a silly dance a few more times. It tells the most entreating and compelling story I have seen this shit puts game of thrones to shame. it really says a lot about society. these are some of the most well rounded characters ive seen it really makes shiji look like the most 2 dimensional character ever. i do not now how i go back ... to watching garbage shows with no plot like steins gate after watching this masterpiece. they should put the box set in museums

I've noticed so many negative reviews that I decided to write my own to point out important details which many watchers have missed. Traps, allegedly fan-service, lack of story and repetitive jokes made many watchers to give negative reviews.
First of all, Himegoto is a sexual-harassment story wrapped up in a slice of life comedy, so it's not for everyone. It's a short anime (also manga doesn't have much more material either) which means that main role is creating enjoyment, all elements besides fun are less developed and it's understandable that such short anime doesn't have much story development (a guy bribed to dress up as ... a female and suffers sexual harassment), sound and art are nothing special and characters may seem blunt, but connections between characters, their reactions and motifs can be understood if attention is paid to conversations.
Whole story is to make jokes about traps, people being trilled and obsessed with them, jokes follow similar pattern to put protagonist in awkward situations, but they differ (though outcome is the same, cannot disagree with that). About "fan-service", I believe those scenes were meant to be a joke, not just to please fans. For example [[*SPOILER* the moment when Albertina II was measuring Himegoto with tailors' tape and he made yaoi sound and weird pose *SPOILER*]] which most likely means that such "fan-services" are overreactions to boost jokes.
Himegoto may be just quick entertainment, but I got impression that bullying and sexual harassment can be researched after comedy layers are removed and all what remains are relations between characters, conversations and tasks Himegoto had to do. Characters' nature can be noticed, to pretend and hide real intentions, which brings some depth to this show.

If you like short, quirky and controversial comedy which includes sexual harassment and jokes about traps, look further no more. Though it doesn't have much of story, art and sound, it's brilliant in enjoyment and you will surely have a good time if this show fits your taste, otherwise you'll be like many others and write negative things after show didn't match your expectancy.

I will add few more thoughts on core of Himegoto, don't read further if you haven't finished it.
Despite being short, this show can bring strong message that anyone can be a douche and manipulate others. Having paid Himegoto's debt, student council didn't put him in any better situation, using him for gathering money (nobody admitted to him it was all about the money) and treating him worse than a slave, placing him in all kinds of awkward situations. Public morals committee members are Himegoto's only allies, even though its president (Mitsunaga or "Mittan") may seem annoying or rude, he actually cares for Himegoto and tries to stop student council bullying. I think Mittan said that he was bullied by student council, which means student council targets young and weak boys who don't stand up for themselves and allow others to use them. 18+ caring to profit from Himegoto, Albertina II to get more inspiration for manga and make Himegoto cosplay, while Unko is more childish and isn't rude to Himegoto but follows the group so she doesn't stand up for him. No matter how much I enjoyed this show, ending was a letdown. The problem is that Himegoto was portrayed always as a weak character (remained the same from start to the end) and in the end student council came to the rescue and then like everything came back to start which would ruin the message, but it's just short fun and it's understandable, though it had a lot of potential to show that sexual harassment can happen to men and that women can be awful people who manipulate others and seek profit and fun no matter how others are hurt. If ending was different, view on this should would have been much different, but despite this drawback the show is still enjoyable.

This anime is for those who like funky humor, it's not bad, it fulfills its proposal, to be just a simple anime for you to watch when you have nothing to do.
The protagonist is the most unlucky person in the world, he gets rid of loan sharks but he has to endure being the "toy" of the student council. The characters are very generic: Loli, Oppai, Tsudere, trap and etc.
But there is no way to demand creativity or depth in a story where your proposal is just to spend time.

A/O protagonista é a pessoa mais azarada do mundo, se livra dos agiotas mas tem que aguentar ser o "brinquedinho" do conselho estudantil. Os personagens são bem genéricos : Loli, Oppai, Tsudere, trap e etc.
Mas não tem como cobrar criatividade ou profundidade em uma história onde a sua proposta é só para passar o tempo.

This is a very niche story and it's basically everyone is a trap and only 2 of the main cast is just girls (no trap). The story brings up traps constantly and very often shows someone copping a feel and show the bulges quite often and personally it's ok'ish the MC is forced into this position due to his parents debt witch is then paid of by the student council after the save him from the mobsters asking him to trap his way to money to pay them only for the student council to realize he is a trap.(basically the first ep) and he seams ... to enjoy his new position even growing close to a member of the student council. To some this may be a bad idea for a show and to some it's the de facto femboi show thing that basically brought the genre to the forefront of the anime scene however their isn't much of a story and is mostly just jokes about traps. I haven't seen the show in a wile last I saw it someone uploaded the whole show to YouTube. If you don't care about traps and just wanna watch some anime or love traps then you will most likely like this show and if you don't like the idea of traps then I recommend you steer clear of this one.

Traps everywhere, SO MANY TRAPS! That's Himegoto for you. If you go into this short anime looking for anything but traps than you aren't going to find anything.

Story - 5 This anime's plot is nothing special. The plot starts with cross dresser Hime trying to pay off his debt. Since he can't pay it off the student council of his school decides to pay for it on the condition that he can only where girls cloths from there on. The story is a simple as that and because of the short 4 minute episodes its not executed that well ... either.

Art - 7 The art and animation in this show isn't bad by any means, its actually very pleasing to the eyes. The art seems like what Girls Und Panzer would be if it was way more colorful.

Characters - 5 The characters in this show are the definition of average. Most of the cast fit the student council trope except instead of the student council being side characters they are the main characters without any personality. The main characters entire personality is that he's a trap and not much else. One of the characters is revealed to be a manga artist which would be cool if they actually went anywhere with that part of her character.

Enjoyment - 3 I did not enjoy this show. Since this show has such short episodes it often relies on its comedy which I really don't like. The show has two repeated types of jokes. The first consists of of the trope "wow its a dude that looks like a girl but all the guys think he's cute". While this type of joke isn't really bad, it gets super annoying as it repeats over and over again throughout the series. The second kind of joke has to do with the student council forcing the main character to do things they obviously are uncomfortable with or don't want to do such as wearing skimpy outfits for people to take pictures of. While some people may find this funny I find it kind of uncomfortable and very unfunny.

Overall I did not enjoy this series. It was super short but that took away from its story making it rely on its comedy which didn't appeal to me. While I don't really recommend this if you like your traps than you might want to watch this.
