Naota Nandaba is an ordinary sixth grader living in a city where nothing amazing ever seems to happen. After his brother Tasuku leaves town to play baseball in America, Naota takes it upon himself to look after everything Tasuku left behind—from his top bunk bed to his ex-girlfriend Mamimi Samejima, who hasn't stopped clinging to Naota since Tasuku left.

Little does Naota know, however, that his mundane existence is on the verge of being changed forever: enter Haruko Haruhara, a Vespa-riding, bass guitar-wielding, pink-haired psychopath whose first encounter with Naota leaves him with tire tracks on his back and a giant horn on his head. Though all he wants is some peace and quiet, when Haruko takes up residence at his parents' home, Naota finds himself dragged into the heart of the greatest battle for supremacy that Earth—and quite possibly the entire universe—has ever seen.

when I first started FLCL I found the first bit of the show quite boring and weird, with wacky characters, goofy animation and this led me to drop the show, after a week I saw one of my fav youtubers TheAnimeMan talk about how great the show was to him, so I decided to re watch the show for the second time, and I still did not enjoy the anime and dropped it for the second time, until I saw a video of 'Why FLCL is a masterpiece', and for the third time I watched FLCL seriously this time and boy did I enjoy it, ...

Mixed Feelings
I can tell that the creators of this anime put a lot of work into it but for me it just did not hit the marks it needed to.

Story- the story is very confusing because it's starts of with one thing takes a completely different turn. But compared to some anime it keeps up. Story 6/10

Animation- The animation was simple but amazing. i think the animation works perfectly with the story. it helps express what the creators were trying to do. Animation 8/10

Music- the music was amazing it matched perfectly with visuals. it helped set the vibe of the anime. it ...

One Word. Terrible.

Premise: This show isn’t actually summarized easily, so here are some elements in the show: robots, guitars, a psychotic pink haired girl, a boy whose head makes monsters, a yellow Vespa, awkwardness, and absurdity. Like, anime back then was even less bad, but this was like a bad anime that doesn't need any respect because it's garbage from king garbage of the garbage dynasty.

Genre: This anime is designed to mess with you, not by creating assumptions about who people are and then shattering them, but by simply discarding all semblances of normality. Just go with it. Like they did this better in Gundam. ...
