"V.G. Neo" is a legendary battle that has been held over several decades to find the strongest waitress. Asuka Yuu arranges with her brother-in-law to live with him and work in his cafe. Suddenly, the enormous debt she owes to her brother-in-law becomes too costly. In order to repay the money, she joins the "Virgin Goodness League" which is a battle of waitresses set on one of the most enormous luxury liners in the world. An unknown sponsor promises enormous prizes for victory, but the loser will have to bear the ultimate humiliation. The maidens who will change fate cannot lose these one on one matches or they will suffer the consequences.
You look up women's skirts and see all the goodies; forgetting that the two of them are in the ring beating the bloody crap out of each other for the sake of the battle and the win. That's mainly fighting-style video games in general, why I don't go online when I play them, and basically the main point of the Variable Geo series.
The first VG anime was watered down "NSFW;" with characters spouting crap about honor and chivalry whilst losing their clothing, being nearly naked, and (OF COURSE, says The Young Turk Cenk Ugyer) fighting the baddies. With VG Neo, you get DA F###ING.
The only character to transfer from old to new is Yuka Takeuchi. But she finds out some (horrible) secret that connects her, new female lead Asuka Yuu, said new female lead's brother, and that bloodthirsty fighter Anna Fairgold.
The headcount includes yet another "Westerner," yet another loli, a Chinese "Eyes Wide Shut" girl (which is new then), the "klutz maiden," and Asuka's "Ken" (who gets sexed second during this adult anime).
Animation's not all that spectacular (outside the panty shots and said sex). Fighting animation is sub-par. My thanks go to Critical Mass for dubbing it in English. I'll recommend this to ya.
Note that there IS a sex scene that featured Yuka, but it's only in the game based on this title. ;_;read more
This, like the original Variable Geo is a fighting style anime comprised of three OVAs. The music was alright, but nothing spectacular and the animation was also pretty average as well. There is a lot of fanservice as well as hentai...However, the subject matter may bother some as the losers of the fights are publicly raped. If you can't stomach rape then I really don't suggest this anime at all.
The fights are also mediocre and I prefer the fight scenes of the original Variable Geo, and the condensed plot leaves a lot to be desired and left me asking questions towards the end of the anime, like why was the cloning program in existence and who was behind it, and what were their motives?
All in all, this is your average, run of the mill fighting anime with fanservice and what is a plot device for sex or a cheap excuse to explore it's dark side.
Personally, I thought Variable Geo Neo was pretty alright, especially compared to some of the other stuff I've seen around. I give it a seven out of ten for an overall factor.read more
