Nanatsu no Taizai is an adventure anime about friendship and bonds. They both give off a feeling of adventure and excitement, if not forgetting the fact both anime feature magic and over-natural powers (supernatural?). Both are really awesome anime and worth a watch if you adore this type of fantasy anime.
Set in a magical fantasy world. Group of people with awesome powers and are friends. the main characters have very similar characters. soon as you see the first episode you immediately understand the similarity between these two Souls. Recommended both
Shounen? Check. Fantasy? Check. Action? Check. Adventure? Check. Nakama? Check. Drama? Check. Idiot protagonists? Check. Hot women? Check.
One Piece and Fairy Tail are amazing action and adventure anime based in different but spectacular fantasy worlds. Fairy Tail is about various guilds, comprising of wizards and witches, that rely on Magical Power to compete with each other and subsequently complete jobs to make a living. On the other hand, the world of One Piece revolves around pirates and marines who rely on Haki and Devil Fruits.
All in all, you'll observe similar characters in both animes, similar humor, similar back stories, and both of them will give you goosebumps during their action sequence. read more
Both the anime focuses On action/comedy/shonen
they have a Mc that gets through on strong friendship
They BOth search for their father along with their quest
Have a huge set of charecter set you can end up liking
Both the Mc does have a type of Fire power though Gon's a bit of chi rather than Fire
Both Fairy Tail and Hunter X Hunter are based around a magical alternate universe. They have interesting characters, (even if the main character isn't the most interesting in the show), and good plot. However, it can take a while to get into the story as the first few episodes are very childish and are simply introducing characters. I personally didn't get attached to Fairy Tail or it's characters until Tower Of Heaven Arc, (around 20 episodes in), but by the time I'd reached episode 48, (the end of where Netflix shows), I was praying there was more out there, which of course there was, (200+ more). This is similar with Hunter X Hunter, I wasn't attached to the show for 2 whole seasons! But I was interested in the premise and plot, and loved the characters and their relationships, so I kept watching. This is because of the darker twist both Animes gain after 70-175 episodes, as they progress into the Chimera Ant Arc and Grand Magic Games respectively. I loved seeing the characters dealing with such angst situations, such as death and sacrifice. This is why I would recommend Fairy Tail and Hunter.  read more
They both revolve around a world where people posses a mystical power where they can do powerful things to aid themselves and their friends. This one is a bit more serious than Fairy Tail but still similar in action.
When I first started to read Black Clover it reminded me so much of both Naruto and Fairy Tail.
-Both stories are about a magical world
-The magian's guild is crazy like Fairy Tail.
-Both anime have similar characters, including magical/power fights,a lot of funny moments and scenes that touch people emotionally .
-The main characters have never give up attitude .
When I was watching Inuyasha, I just thought how Inuyasha is a LOT like Natsu. They both have a fuse as small as grain as sand. They both will do anything to protect their friends but Inuyasha pretends he doesn't care.
Okay im surprised this hasn't been recommend before:
+Both Main characters use fire as a weapon
+Have very crazy adventurers
+Both series show how the main group of characters loyal to one another
+Both have elements of comedy
+Both have crazy and some times dark characters
Both anime contain themes of friendship, loyalty and trust although these are more prevalent in Fairy Tail. Besides sharing similar keynote themes both anime have characters who undergo both personal and physical transformations in order to meet/face new adversaries and overcome various challenges. Both contain a fair amount of action with a good balance of comedy whilst still been serious when the situation/story calls for it. If you like one you will probably like the other.
These two anime deal with magic, and friendship. Fairy Tail's first series(Seasons 1-14), delivered action, magic, and the bonds of friends, in a watered-down package. No blood, and the like. The 2014 series, however, delivers this and more. It sticks to the original manga-style character designs, adds in the blood, way more violence, and not to mention that main baddy, Zeref, is a total bad-ass. The similarities it has with Magi, is the power of bonds, the action, and some situations. The action of FT(2014), is similar to the action in Magi, with the characters having great, smooth, fluid movements, and full action sequences. As for the power of bonds, all of Fairy Tail treats it's other members like family. The same can be said for Magi, when Aladdin and his traveling companions Morgiana, Alibaba, and Hakuryu, are treated like his family throughout the journey. As for the situations, however, in the Balbadd Arc of Magi, Alibaba returns to his kingdom, in hopes of freeing it from it's current ruler, Ahbmad. The situation took a similar turn to Fairy Tail's own Edolas arc, when Mystogan returned to Edolas, and took his father's throne as ruler.
All in all, Fairy Tail is really good, and is pretty similar to Magi. If you like Magi, you should check it out.  read more
