Synopsis

Ren Mihashi was the ace of his middle school's baseball team, but due to his poor pitching, they could never win. Constant losses eventually lead to his teammates bullying him and reached the point where his teammates no longer tried to win, causing Mihashi to graduate with little self-esteem. As a result, Mihashi decides to go to a high school in a different prefecture where he has no intention of playing baseball. Unfortunately, upon his arrival at Nishiura High, he is dragged into joining their new team as the starting pitcher.

Although unwilling at first, Mihashi realizes that this is a place where he will be accepted for who he is; with help from the catcher Takaya Abe, he starts to have more confidence in his own abilities. Abe, seeing the potential in Mihashi, makes it a goal to help him become a pitcher worthy of being called an ace.

I'm not a big fan of baseball, the anime is also very entertaining. The anime is a spokon, from baseball. So far everything normal but what is not normal is the protagonist, from the first moment they show you that he has several traumas caused by his former teammates. The animation is very good, the only thing I don't like is that in the design of the characters' faces there are some red stripes that they always have, as if they were blushing. Taking that out, the animation and the character design seem very good to me. The development of characters is excellent, they take ...

One of my favorites sport anime !

I love Mihashi ! He is the super low-self-steem, self-depreciated boy that never think he is right, even though others might think the oposite. His eyes are always straying, his breath's rough and he curls upon himself.

His interactions with the others are hilarious. It always take so much energy from him to look at someone eyes and tell what he is thinking. But despite all that he want so much to be the ace, to play baseball. So despite his behavior the anime doesn't get laid back.

And even the other members of the club don't have much patience with ...

So fun!!! I'm surprised this isn't more popular as it is. Following the protagonist, and the pitcher, Mihashi Ren, Big Windup starts as he enters high school and onto a new baseball team after having a horrible experience in his previous one. He is fidgety and looks down on himself but oh so talented. The team and their bonding is so fun to watch since they all differ individually but pair well with one another as a whole. I absolutely love the style so much!!! Wish all shows still looked like that. Also, I hate to say it but I must,,,,, this feels so much ...
