I can't understand why this anime has not a review yet. (Maybe because it is not a Japanese production). Anyway, this is one of the most impressive anime I've ever seen. The art and the characters are pretty good, the story is fantastic and full of sentimental feelings. I think after you see the movie you'll have an idea about what Buddhism really is. The question history have not much to say, follows a pattern between the simplistic and advanced, it's a good story, I liked it, the dramatic charge that involves is excellent, the fact that we have a character with a disability gives an ecstasy more of the plot.
