Recommendations

Same runtime, same genres, same concept, and same, well, seething bloody fights of course where the winner takes all; in some case even almost a life in Baki's case!

This one episode OVA in terms of art style and sound design is possibly the most similar anime to YuYu Hakusho, it is also from the 90s. There is a couple of gory fights in an arena (it has a similar feel to the dark tournament ark), the protagonist (Baki Hanma) is very reminiscent to Yuske, an important parallel between the two main characters from their respective shows is that they get the sh** kicked out of them. If you liked you liked YYH then you should watch all of Baki (the tv show from the 2000s, and the Netflix adaptation). But  read more

unrelated in the videogame genre, but very famous in the fighting genre for years on end in anime, and yes ppl i like retro fighting anime a lot as back in the days stuff was playable in the arcadehalls

Although Jojo's Adventure is more violent and badass, Baki goes far as well as '90s anime is concerned in the martial arts way! and lots of men are fighting here!

They are both OVA's of popular martial arts shonen anime. They both have great art styles, animation & character designs.

This OVA and movie remind me of one another. They are both action & martial arts shonen anime. They have similar art styles and both have good animation, story & characters. If you liked one, give the other a shot.

These are both martial arts shonen anime. They both follow the top level of martial artists that far surpasses your average professional fighters, the strongest in the world. They both have good animation, great art styles and character designs.
