Log Horizon

In the blink of an eye, thirty thousand bewildered Japanese gamers are whisked from their everyday lives into the world of the popular MMORPG, Elder Tale, after the game's latest update—unable to log out. Among them is the socially awkward college student Shiroe, whose confusion and shock lasts only a moment as, a veteran of the game, he immediately sets out to explore the limits of his new reality.

Shiroe must learn to live in this new world, leading others and negotiating with the NPC "natives" in order to bring stability to the virtual city of Akihabara. He is joined by his unfortunate friend Naotsugu, having logged in for the first time in years only to find himself trapped, and Akatsuki, a petite but fierce assassin who labels Shiroe as her master. A tale of fantasy, adventure, and politics, Log Horizon explores the elements of gaming through the eyes of a master strategist who attempts to make the best of a puzzling situation.

How To Guide To Make A Gamers Society

log Horizon Is one of the best takes on trapped in a video game world genre, I have seen. on how it tackles video game mechanics and make them interesting and evolving.

The show is about Society building and how to motivate gamers to work together, and it goes about it in a interesting and intelligent way.
It shows how to motivate people, what make people stay away from each other, and what is the reason that we play MMOs in the first place.

log Horizon is very interested in game mechanics and how they would evolve, if real world logic ... were given to video game mechanics.
What makes food taste good?
What does evolution of class abilities to?
What if world quest are not resolved?
how to build a society from scrap?
are a examples of what the Show tackles.

And even if I'm not the biggest fan of MMO raid and mechanics, The show depicts and shows the strategy in really good detail, and is no slouch in that department.

the characters are a good spectrum of every person, who could find themselves in a MMO game, And the villain behind glasses is such a fun main character, He is intelligent, but flawed.

Where log Horizon falters is in the Production, it looks very budget, but lucky the story is so good that you are willing to look at these very bland look. it's not the character design that is bad is just the coloring that makes it look so flat.

The show is mostly dialogue, but it's not good at presenting it, most of the time It's just blend shots and dialog in boring rooms, It really needed some more dynamic storyboards to make the dialogue more interesting or show some stuff while they talked.

The show's other problem is a really normal one, But still ashamed there not really a conclusion. It has a lot of really good memorable moments, but Ending there is not.

If you like Society buildings or MMOs you're gonna have a good time.

Mixed Feelings

It wasn't apparent to me until watching the whole season and the next two seasons but this is a kid's show.
It's handles being a kid and the issues that around that, pretty seriously.
I think the digimon / young teen crowd might get a lot of the show.
There is a going to a huge portion of the show which will be miserable for adults.
It's extremely chaste, but in this case it's a positive because again, it's a kids show.

The setting and big picture plot is great. It's not a show about harem building, or super powers, or video game mastery. It's about dealing with a crisis ... as a community and dealing with people who disagree about what to do in it. Pretty good stuff for 2025 when you can see everyone everywhere get more desperate in real life. Show has a message about that, like hey go out there and try and make it better and don't be a weird fascist about it.

First Seasons intro database is terrible, and the show suffers from being setup at 25ish minutes. You hear it a lot even with skip intros on modern players. The Outro is good, but wears thin by the time you hear it 25 times. Even if all you hear is the stinger of the song.

Kinda sad for the mc as he got all the flat girls.
Felt like The anime was more of a political discussion and romance series rather than a actual rpg isekai.ep1-7 was pure gold and after that it digs into politics and other shit but gets worse through the whole series (season 2 and 3 was shit )

the mc is so popular because he is jenius in anime but he stops using his brain from the mId season.i mean there is only 3 thimes hardly where the mc get in a fight although people suggest it as an anime" with op mc "

I mean comeon give ... us some good actions where our mc use some op brain power but nah it turned into who loves who shit AND Making foods story.
And also I didn't like the character designs(maybe i am little frustrated beacuse the side girls had more attractive design than our little ninja girl(hope she wasnt loli looking).there was too much pep talk through the whole series about unnatural politics made by NPC. The ninja girl is preety op.Felt sad how every couple got together except the mc.(season 3)

The Pace is not slow but kinda feels like there's unnecessary events going on. Animation doesn't matter when there is 80 % of talk through the whole series.
