Similarities: - Master & Partner - Partner wants to marry master - Partner are not considered to be human, but master treats them as human - Main protaganist both fights - They call out their fighting styles or spells - One Boss fight per arc type of anime - Dark gloomy and bloody

Same feel, plot wise, and both mains seem to have a dark past.

Fanservice. Overpowered AI combat companion that is madly in love with the hero and the barest possibility of a harem.
report Recommended by Purest_Prodigy
Both of them involve an MC with "sub par" abilities assisted by a cute companion who happens to be incredibly strong. It is a Dragon in Seikoku no Dragonar and a Golem/Familiar/Doll in Unbreakable Machine Doll. In addition, the setting creates a very similar feel between the two. Unbreakable Machine Doll has a stronger harem element, but that doesn't mean it's a harem, while Seikoku no Dragonar seems to have more service in my opinion. If you like one, I'm pretty sure you'll like the other.

Anime dealing with partners or Duo. They must work together in order to graduate. Uncover secrets within the school and their deep dark past. One series has human/doll with powers as partners. While the other is human only with powers as partners. Both dealing with a school competiton.

While their world settings are different, both Accel World and Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (Unbreakable Machine-Doll) involves with technology that contain main mysteries. Both series' main female protagonist are capable of fighting in their perspective worlds and also seems to have an affection towards their partner/friend. There is drama, comedy, and romance involved although the responses the main protagonist delivers to their female friend/companion greatly contrasts with each other. Both series also takes place at a school life setting where students learn more than just general academics.

Very similar context: the MC is a master and a has a human familiar (accompanier) of other gender while others have monsters instead.

These two titles both did quite well for their first episode release, as most of us know, one more than the other. What binds these two together in my opinion, is the fact we have a very strong male lead, who seems to be quite powerful to the point we can assume most fights in both shows will go in favor of the main character. Now, both series try to mask this sense of Over Powered-ness, which offers some nice action scenes. The plot has some similarities, like the mortality of every character, which can be exploited in both series. These series are not averse  read more

* Both are EPIC action/fantasy type of shows. * Both have Master x Servant relationships... * Both has ideal MC's ( except Rin from UBW )...who can kickass when needed... * Masters must be a magicians to have Servants...without magic power/mana they're just weaklings... * Kill or be killed type of tournaments.... * Both has luckiest MC's ever... * Both shows has great sidekicks, memorable BGM's....and great art/har designs... * Must Watch series...to every anime fan/lover or bodypillow warriors xD

For some reason that I can not remember, when I was watching Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai I thought that this anime is different but somehow similar to the anime Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio Ars Nova, both of them have really good openings and endings musics.

Both anime are crafted around a tournament/survival like setting. The characteristics that govern battles are also very similar in that characters fight with a variation of a type of weapon. In Btooom! these are bombs and in Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai, these are machines or automatons. Perhaps what is most similar between the two are the main characters. Both are very clever and strategic which make battles all the more enjoyable. The element of romance is also present in both.

The biggest similarity would definitely be the main characters. They're both hospital-bound idiots who rush into things without looking at the consequences. Both go out of their way for their female companions. They attend a school where some sort of supernatural art is taught is taught. There's a female with the protagonists at all times (Toaru – Index/Machine-doll – Yaya). And there is a certain aspect of badassery with both characters as well.

The similarities in comedy points and jokes are uncanny. Both involve many jokes of being jealous and misunderstanding when interact with their love interest. Although Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai have rather lewder jokes while Baka to Test jokes are a lot more tame. In addition both anime have the same main voice cast for the characters interaction, made it felt similar vibe. If you love watching this kind of comedy, definitely recommend these two anime

Both use dolls to fight but in Fantasista doll it has a lighter plot while Machine-doll has a darker one. Both have really good drawing styles as well

Similar stories of how MC is a loser while the female protagonist being way out of his league. Both have similar settings of school battles and a ranking system where the MC is considered the weakest.

Both main heroes are figting for sake of their friends and to be the best. Both involve people fighting with dools/puppets.

same female robot with human boy type of deal then people start destroying said robots also both mcs are created from a master of robotics/magic in a way (does a super ai count?) but i my self do love both anime as the both of them just strike a nerve you know?

The main character wants to get stronger in what he does, and for that he lends the help of his awesome female companion, who secretly loves him even though they know the love is unrequited. This description could work for both.

These two anime are related because they involve 2 entities teaming up to achieve something, in hand shakers it is a wish, and Machine-Doll wa kizutsukanai it is the title of wiseman.
report Recommended by gokugodssj4g
In both anime, the characters fight with or using their partners. The MC and his partner has this some sort of Romantic relationship although with C, it isn't revealed in "Ecchi" means.

If sending a part of your almost-human-loli harem is quite a hard concept for you to grasp, these will help you understand it.
report Recommended by NatoBoram
The girls in both animes are not human, but are crazy in love with a normal Human boy. The girls would do any kind of crazy act to get their attention, but are often a bit unsuccessful. Boys are a bit tsundere towards the girls, eventually showing their affection. While Haiyore Nyarko san is a bit more comical, Machine Doll has a more serious tone mixed with very funny misunderstandings.

similar Master and Servant Doll - Human relationship similar master dol relationship in both series masters treats his Servant as equal Genres both animes are ecchi , harem , comedy and action diferences in Unbreakable Machine-Doll , Yaya and Raishin is working with the army when in Steel Angel Kurumi , Kurumi and Nakahito are running from the army

The female leads are very devoted to the protagonist, openly showing their affection from the beginning of the show.

The female leads are cute, aggressive, and funny, and their persiflage with the male leads is not to be missed.

Angelic Layer and Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (Unbreakable Machine Doll) share the similarity of involving battles using technological advancements. The main characters from both series have a partner whom they train to fight. Both series take place in a school environment where there's a competitive atmosphere. The competitions bring forth both friends and rivals for the main characters. There is also comedy, and the series' mechanics regarding the specifics of their technology are explained.

Akatsuki and Reishin are both awesome and overpower . Reishin looks like Akatsuki in a way. Both series does deal with magic, battles, and school life. Though Reishin isn't a perverted person like Akatsuki yet many female characters are drawn to them. Akatsuki wants to fight the strongest opponent and test out his skills. While Reishin wants revenge from a certain incident and plans to kill/defeat him.

If you like the voice acting in this anime you should try the other, many voice actors from Code Geass appear in Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai including the actors who played Diethard Reid (Sigmund in Machine-doll) and CC (Karyuusai Shouko in Machine Doll).

Its exactly the same. he is the warrior type out for avenging his sister. he got her embarrased as soon as he arrived. she wants so roast him aka friendship. competition in pairs. her elite seat is 5th rank, same. some brute on 10th seat picks a 4rd figth with her, he lost the others, exactly the same. Did they just take the plot and used it on more mature characters?

Story takes place in magic school located in Europe/European styled country, but at least one of main cast characters came from Japan/Japan styled country and learns some cultural differences. Male MC objective of coming to this school is revenge.

automatons// human robots master and controller romance similar plot style society uneasy about accepting robots as real humans military usage of robotics robot dolls both unsure of realistic female behaviours. mild fight scenes in elfen lied// more in unbreakable machine doll much darker than unbreakable machine doll, with more of a mysterious feel

Black Butler [BB] (Kuroshitsuji) i feel is very similar to Unbreakable Machine Doll [UMD]. BB has elements of mystery and plot twists, but it is much 'darker' than UMD. Both have master and those who they control and both are set in olden England. Both main roles go to young males set out to gain revenge for their lost family members and both make unusual friends. there is much more "ecchi" in UMD however. Both have good fight scenes where the master 'battles' with their doll/butler.

Both have humans using their dolls (Machine-Doll) and demon (Gash Bell) to fight different kinds of enemies. In Gash Bell, they want to become the best and obtain the master title, while in Machine-Doll, the main character wants revenge.

Very similar story, magical competition with spirit ally-like characters, same general plot, different setting. Similar attitude of main character towards his automatons/spirits, not seeing them as tools but as valued comrades. Main character is also inept but somehow manages to always win.

Set in old fashioned worlds, non-human girls with supernatural abilities are partnered up with combatants to resolve incidents as their on screen relationship develops. Both have some romance and comedic relief but Machine Doll follows a steampunk theme while Zakuro is more spiritual.
