As soon as I started watching Kaze no Stigma, it made me think of Shakugan no Shana. Both main characters are similar, with their flaming tempers, and love for fighting. They may differ in some but both put a great magical fighting story.

Ayano Kannagi and Shana are both red-haired flame users, who wield special swords.  The only difference is that Ayano is somewhat taller and has bigger bobbies.

Is it just me or Kaze no Stigma is pretty much the same as Shakugan no Shana except the background story and the plot are little bit different & the male Protagoras is more of a badass. The best part is i dont have to wait for 3 season to see the real romance in Shana......besides that Shana and Stigma are the same in many ways......

The main characters in here, usually a female character, have the same characteristics of themselves such as a flame sword and somewhat a tsundere personality. In the story, supernatural beings are often terrorizing the city, which the main female character usually have a partner on there side, and eradicate those beings. If you like a story that uses supernatural elements and some dark turns, then this will be your favorite show.

Kaze no Stigma focuses on the main male character with a calm and independent mind, who helps his partner complete there goal. Shana features a boy who is weak, but partners up a girl who wants to be strong like her. read more

- The main girl character are almost the same in both animes. They look, fight and act extremely similar! 
- The relationship that is shared between the two main characters in Kaze no Stigma is a spitting image of the relationship between the two main characters in Shakugan no Shana. The girls are both tsunundre-type characters, the kind that no one can hate. 
- In both Kaze no Stigma and Shakugan no Shana the female lead is hot-headed and wields a fiery sword which she uses to fight supernatural enemies.
- Both of them also tends to argue with the male lead even though she secretly likes him. 

 You get humour, good action sequences, cute love story and definate character growth. Everything you see in Kaze no Stigma, you'll find in Shakugan no Shana with a slight bend to it, yet still enjoyable on the same level.  read more

The main heroine in both works is a red-haired tsundere who uses flame magic and swings around a sword made out of fire and is in love with the protagonist dude and they fight evil dudes together o/
Biggest difference is Kazuma Yagami (Kaze no Stigma) is an absolute chad alpha male but Sakai Yuji (Shakugan no Shana) is a loser beta male (read: standard boring high schooler anime protagonist)

Both anime is basically the same thing. Both of the FeMC shares almost the exact same looks and purposes; a flaming red hair, uses fire type sword, and defeating monsters and/or bad guys who threatened the world that they live in

Both has a comedy and romance aspect in it. The only difference that I see from tge main character cast is one male MC is overpowered from the start, while the other male MC is progessively better (from weak to powerful)

The main characters (Hei and Kazuma) are both contractors and the others also have some extra-ordinary powers which other people don't have. Than we also have the detective/police woman, in Darker than BLACK Misaki and in Kaze no Stigma Kirika. I think that Kaze no Stigma contains some more humour than Darker than BLACK but I enjoyed both of this series very much. Somehow I saw some things that were alike so I wanted to do this recommendation..

Both of them deal with contractors who obtain super powers ... DTB is much better than Kaze no stigma in my opinion but they both have the same theme. Kaze no stigma is not as dark as DTB though.

darker than black is more action-based, whereas kaze no stigma also has the action, but more geared towards comedy/romance (not to mention the lack of a holistic plot, but then again... the manga for kaze no stigma will never reach completion, so i'll give it a break :P). 

but i highly enjoyed both. in fact, i took the recommend of kaze no stigma from DtB so i hope someone else to like them too :)

Both Hei and Kazuma are slick contractors (they literally say contractor in both), with awesomely unique abilities.  Darker than black is a lot more serious in tone in comparison to Kaze No Stigma, but it's still a fun watch if you're into cool action sequences.

Both anime have a dark undertone with both Male Main Characters in each series that use supernatural powers with deadly intelligence and a decided lack of conscience as both characters have killed without remorse, Both series resolves around the main characters and their pasts whilst they go on missions with others assigned to them by an authoritative figure (in DTB MMC Hei is assigned to a team by a mysterious organisation as a contractor/assassin and in KNS, MMC Kazuma is assigned missions by his grandfather and is teamed up with his love interest/younger cousin and his brother), KNS is a bit more romantic then DTB and so is a bit softer but each MMC lost a female loved one which gives them both a trauma that they need to overcome and whilst DTB is more about crimes committed by other people and KNS is more supernatural, they both deal with the guys in each series wanting to do the right thing/justice due to the influences of the other characters as each series develops and this makes the viewer want to see them triumph over adversity, which gives a very similar feeling when watching one or the other. These animes give me the same feelings when watching them as they MMC are both the antihero types trying to be better than they were at the beginning (they didnt want to get involved too deeply with anyone or anything but somehow it fell to them to act), the animes have a bit of comedy that breaks up the dark feelings you get from watching the MMC and injustices going on in the background, and both have similar endings where the teams fight something evil after much lead up and makes you think "Whats going to happen next? they definitely make a season two!" so if these sort of feelings are for you then I recommend you watch DTB as well as KNS.  read more

Darker than Black has in my opinion the same style of fighting as Kaze no stigma, magic and stuff. Both main characters have a dark past  (Lee and Kazuma)  have lost a loved one (tswe ling for kaze and Lee's sister in darker than black). both come in small arcs or single episodes intill about episode 14. Darker than Black is a lot darker and bloodier than kaze in my opinion,  it has no romance or comedy. in kaze there are only 3 types of magic but in darker than black all of the characters have different powers. Both are great shows

Kazuma and Hei both behave in the very same way. They are both calm and cool. When it comes to girls they freak out. Both anime's have supernatural powers.

Firstly they both involve: ability's, contractors and above all a lot of quality action.

Both characters are fairly dark and have good backstorys however you also grow attached to both of them.  Also both the main characters grow other relationships however their past follows them around.

In both anime the Art, soundtrack and story is good and I would recommend both :D.

Kaze no stigma is a light-hearted DTB that is more light-hearted and humorous than DTB. The fight scene is decent. The plot is basically a badass MC and his tsundere cousin fighting villains. This is probably the closest things to the world of contractors

The characters and their interactions are almost a carbon copy, and without going into minute detail it's safe to assume that if you liked one show you will feel at home on the other.

The setting might be different but since both shows revolve heavily around character interactions, the change in scenario will barely be noticeable to most ><

They both have a red-headed tsudere girl from a prestigious family who tries her best to succeed her father but is totally useless. They both wield swords.Then comes the male characters with brown hair and blue eyes, who are both mysterious and cold but they grow to like the female character.
There is someone younger following both main characters in each anime who have blond hair and are soft-hearted.
In both, male characters had a girl who they(seemingly)liked but this girl got eaten by a demon and thus they seek revenge and both have a tremendous power that they gained from their malice.
The main difference is that the setting for both animes. Kaze No Stigma is in present time in Japan and Seikon No Blacksmith is ALOT earlier. read more

First off, both main male protagonists have a similar attitude. Both main female protagonists are very determined and Ayano & Cecily have red hair. Both have similar romance between the main characters. Both have action, & elemental powers (Aria; Air & Kazuma; Air). Both main male characters have lost someone dear to them in the past.Also, Cecily & Ayano use swords. I don't know who copied who, but it sure seems like one of them copied each other. I mean like, it is no coincidence that there are so many similarities in both Animes. But, if you enjoyed Kaze No Stigma, you should watch Seiken no Blacksmith. & if you enjoyed Seiken No Blacksmith, you should watch Kaze No Stigma. Both shows have stong willed, red-headed female MC and an aloof, my-pace male MC. The male MCs are pretty strong and have some sort of sad background and with the help of the female MC they are overcoming it little by little. Both male MC dont care about the opinion of other people and are pretty cold at the start when they are interacting with others.

The relationship between the main characters kinda reminds me of each other.
Also the atmosphere. The guy and the girl, falling in love fighting side by side and in the breaks without fighting, they go through everyday problems.

Both are Action/Romance shows based off of a novel from Monthly Dragon Magazine, where a strong male lead has to protect a weak, but strong-minded female in a High School setting. The main difference is that FMP! is mecha, but KnS is Swords/Sorcery.

theres a bit of a difference one it comes to the guys, for FMP the girl always beats up the guy, while in kaze no stigma, he's always dodging it
also they both have dark pasts.

Because of the main protagonists and overall feeling.

Kazuma and Ayano bear a striking resemblance to the duo of Sousuke and Kaname, in both their personalities and relationship.  Both shows are primarily action-oriented with a familiar balance of comedy, drama, and romance. Some other similarities include style, mood, episode/plot structure, production values, and more; making both shows feel very similar to one another.

I'll admit the genres of these shows are totally different ("Full Metal Panic!" is a military mech series while "Kaze no Stigma" is a magic/fantasy series), but the underlying concept is more-or-less the same- a stoic, serious-minded mercenary is assigned as the bodyguard of a tsundere high-school student with immense power that they can't completely control. 

Sousuke and Kazuma are generally quite similar, mainly in appearance. The main difference is that Sousuke is the comically serious while Kazuma is a deadpan snarker.

The art is similar, and the plot involves people with special powers. The main girl uses a magical sword to fight and is always teasing and fighting with the main guy. The main guy had a painful childhood where he was despised and bullied by everyone, and also, he lost his first love. He also has a huge power inside him, and if that power stays out of control, he becomes evil. The symbol of that power is on his eyes.

The relationship between the two main characters are almost identical. In both the animes the girl is hotheaded and always seems to be angry at the protagonist but actually likes him. Both protagonists are ridiculously strong and both the girls weild swords.

Both of these have a strong protagonist right from the start of the anime. Both protagonists have a dark/sad history. Both also anime have magic involved. Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu has a medieval fantasy setting while Kaze no Stigma has a modern setting.

Kaze no Stigma is very similar to Denetsu in that they both have strong male leads whom use magic and fight side by side with a female main character, they both are at time reluctant to fight and ostracized by the populous for their amazing strength

The main male characters in here are know to be calm, independent, and sometimes overpowered when it comes to danger situations. They mostly don't care when they are "accidently looking" or "playing around", with the female main characters during situations. When a threat is coming, they will do everything that they can to protect their friends and eliminate the threat.

The difference is that Kaze no Stigma doesn't have a harem, and sometimes a few romance scenes. Rogue Hero features a much more of a fanservice show, and having a harem.

*I love both mc's, they are both Chads and incredibly op, they often flirt with the girls in the show and are always cracking jokes, often at the expense of their love interest. If you're tired of wimpy mc's that whine and do nothing either of these is great for that
*both have supernatural powers and some really fun fights
*Stigma feels more serious than Yuusha but still has a lot of goofy lighthearted moments and Yuusha has a lot more ecchi than Stigma
*They both give off a very different feel but if you love op characters that are rarely phased, are always kicking ass, and getting the girls then you'll love both of these
*Stigma is longer and you might have to pay a little attention at times while Yuusha is only 12 eps and very easy viewing that you can just kick back and relax to
*the main girl in both has pinkish red hair although they have drastically different personalities, Stigma is a tsundere and Yuusha is typically more nervous, reserved, and kind. Stigma only really has one girl while Yuusha is a bit more like a traditional harem. I highly recommend both of these shows despite how different they feel read more

This may seem like an odd recommendation, since both shows follow very different story lines; however the characters of each series reminded me of each other. For instance, the relationship that Naru and Mai (Ghost Hunt) have is just of that of Kazuma and Ayano's (Kaze no Stigma).

They seem to remind me of one another, the main girl characters in both can be annoying but sweet, while the male main character in both can be dark, mysterious, but pure-hearted. You can also see a love interest between both couples. Both of these shows also are more towards a supernatural/power genre. While both shows have a dull moment here and there, I recommend them for they have many great ones.

Both the girls have abilities of their own, while they might be less than that of the main guys 
Both the girls are hotheaded (Although no one can beat Ayano)

 Both girls are a princess and a chiefs daughter. The guys are both older with no talent that are super badass when they get older their family ignores them and their dads totally disowns them when their little kids. Plus the two girls both have super cool fire swords and their families think their super talented but the guys still better then the girls somehow.

The romance in both of these shows feels very similar: there is no harem hijinks - the main male and female lead are obviously attracted to each other and become the official couple early in the show.

the MC is abandoned by his father, but his sister loves him unlike his parents who ignored him for his lack of magical ability.

Both revolve around families with the ability to use magic, in which the male lead is scorned and viewed as weak by his family due to not having what they view as true strength, but soon reveals that he has different talents altogether (Kazuma having a talent for wind magic instead of fire, and Ikki being a master swordsman who can easily compensate for his low magical power). Both also feature a red-haired girl (Stella/Ayano) who falls in love with them, wields fire magic, and comes from an upper class family. 

Though, surprisingly, despite the pair of main characters being similar, I prefer the male lead in "Kaze no Stigma" and the female lead in "Chivalry of a Failed Knight".

Both series focus on those with special, and often elemental, powers. While Kaze No Stigma doesn’t feature a loser necessarily, he is the black sheep of his family. However, through a partnership with a fiery user, like in Chivalry, he ends up rising to lofty heights.

Both main characters grow up having a tough child hood, which later in life makes them have a laid back/ calm attitude to stay out of trouble not to mention that both main characters are very intelligent. Both come off as being weak but are Very skilled in the art of fighting style/power. Also the story's include female characters that help out main protagonist in the story. Overall fighting a much bigger evil as the story progresses. Both deal with Magic/supernatural

In the series the male and female main characters share the same personalities.
While Kaze no Stigma's main story is mostly based on magic and Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! School life I would say that these are two animes fans of one have to watch.

Both series deals with power of fire as a tool of destruction.

Both shows are about people with magic in the modern world, those magic users fight against ayakashi/demons but often they are seen fighting against each other. Male MCs are pretty powerful but not a lot of people are aware of that. In both shows, the family/bloodline you are from decides how powerful you will be (almost every time), but the male MCs aren't affected by it and got/get strong in their own way.

Both are about a group that fights against demons, and the female protagonist is a energetic schoolgirl while the male protagonist is a guy tormented by the memories of his past lover that died and that he couldn't protect. Ofc, many hints of romance between the protagonists.

Both of these series involve the characters having elemental super powers (such as fire, earth, wind and etc). The focus and plot line of both of these series are completely different but a different story with similar action may be a refreshing change. Both series also contain some romantic elements, although Tokyo Underground places more importance on this.

The MC of Kaze no stigma and Mo Fan have a very similar "Come up" and origin story. They were both considered to be trash at one point, but eventually worked their way towards being respected or at least noticed by those surrounding them. And of course, they both did so by being overpowered SOB's.

Why are these similar? Beyond the fighting there may not seem like anything in common, and yet both the main male protagonist and female protagonist are strong characters. There is also the implication of romance between the two along with fighting the fact things don't feel as if they would work out.

The main guy in both mess around a lot but know when to get serious.

Both anime have character development and then in-depth story lines. I personally consider Kaze No Stigma the better anime; however, they both have supernatural powers. In Kaze No Stigma, they use the four elements (Wind, Fire, Water and Earth), while in 07-Ghost, they use "runes." Both protagonists strive with their powers and both are trying to achieve a goal. Both have good sound tracks and are good anime! If you like one, you'll most likely like the other!

Both are urban fantasies that revolve around clans that draw supernatural powers from Kings (in "K", the kings are people, while in "Kaze no Stigma" the kings are spirits). Additionally, "Kaze no Stigma"'s first arc involving the main character getting framed for murder is used as the basis for the plot of "K"'s first season, and there's an arc late in both anime where normal people are granted powers via a mysterious network. The main characters are also quite similar:

Kuroh===>Kazuma- Both are stoic, serious badasses with a dark past who are more than willing to kill when the situation calls for it. They also have the same seiyuu (Daisuke Ono).

Neko===>Ayano- Both have red hair, are very emotional, immature and impulsive, are very affectionate towards one member of the trio and constantly bicker with the other.

Shiro===>Ren- Both are very cheerful, kind-hearted boys who act as the mediator of the trio, being the only one that both of them always get along with.

Imo, "K" is better. It has a better story, much better animation and the characters are more likable- Kuroh is notably less of a dick than Kazuma, Neko is a lot cuter and more badass than Ayano and Shiro is far more intelligent and level-headed than Ren. Basically, if you liked "Kaze no Stigma", you will definitely like "K" as well. read more

Both characters are very strong/OP with a high IQ to out wit their opponent. Both have a laid back badass attitude. They have younger siblings who look up/ help the main protagonist in engagements. Of course these series have that Comedy/Fantasy/ Supernatural aspect to them.

Kaze no Stigma is very similar to Zetsuen no Tempest in the fact the main characters are not helpless, whiny, or annoying. In fact, they both act very mature and know how to handle themselves in most situations.This includes fights. The action in both shows are quality and the stories are unique and enjoyable. Last but not least both main characters are suffering from past trauma that has to do with their dead girl friend/wife.

There are 2 heroes on each anime : A boy and a girl, and there are a romance history for the 2 heroes.
The boy on each anime is enjoyable, charismatic and have much power, if you loved the hero of Kaze No Stigma, you will love the hero of SAO.
The same for the girls.

80% action 20% romance give or take. Magic, strong heroes, epic battles, little to no fillers or what might be considered fillers are more like character development.
Neither are super original, but both keep to well formed stories and character developments.

If you like the 'One-Man Army' type of shows, then both Kaze no Stigma and/or Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari would definitely be worth seeing.

Whilst Kaze deals with the supernatural, Isekai is heavily influenced by mecha. Each of the leading males have the power to not only move the show, but also their leading female counter-parts. 

If you've seen one, than I'd highly recommend watching the other!

In both, a girl and one boy blood related (in KD, are siblings while in KNS are cousins) are from a village where there are clans with some sort of power. 
Also there are similarities in the plot: one of the main guys was mistreated and misjudged and later arrested/expelled. Also, he later comes back for revenge against those who mistreated him. In both in KD and KNS, the same boy knew a girl, fell in love but then something happened to her.

i cant say too much without giving away spoilers but...
sekirei - a game is set loose in the city with many player able to make bonds with many "wepons" and have to battle it out.  fun , a bucket load of action scenes, and more echi than you can shake a stick at.

kaze no stigma- differnet sets of mages (set in modern day japan , like sekirei) the leading man being banished from the strongest of the fire clans for being week (having no control over fire sprites) and comes back years later as a wind mage.  let the battle comence as our money hungry protagonist fights through house wars with other clans.   read more

Simply put, both of these anime have an extremely strong main character, Kanata/Kazuma who work together with stubborn red-haired tsudere to help them get stronger, Misora/Ayano. Though in Kuusen, Misora isn't the only female lead. Altogether, Kuusen Madoushi is like a newer version of Kaze no Stigma.
