Both falls into music/romance/harem genre anime. In Kiniro no corda the MCs are using musical instrument while in Uta no prince sama the MCs are singer/songwriter/composer. Both has good looking guys with different personality.

They are actually very similar, uto no prince sama is basicly a bording school of music, composing and singing, where a girl comes to the school, and there a a few boys with differnt personalities, that all admire her! Then there is kiniro no corda a bording school of again music but this time focusing on intrumetal music. And a girl again is surronded by boys, and helping her! kiniro has a twist of magic though! But if you like one you probily you would like the other! Oh and i LOVE both of the sound tracks, also they have pretty good art! 

Both series are reverse harems based on an otome game so expect to see some hot n' steamin' guys complete with tsunderes and shotas! Both are music related as well.. For Kiniro no Corda, the guys are talented mucisians while Uta no Prince-sama, the guys will be aspiring idols~ True that there are fewer guys present in UtaPri, but hey.. they look even hotter than the guys of La Corda! Both are animes about music and have harem in it. they are both very similiar. 

Both focus on music while Kiniro no Corda is into instruments and Uta no Prince-sama have musicians. Both also have reverse harem. 

Both female protagonists must learn some form of music (violin and composing) with little or no former experience. The two go through a period of little self-confidence, and have to overcome that with a lot of practice and learning. Some jealousy is directed towards the two. They are surrounded by male students who help them and they befriend. Both happen to be prodigious in their respective music schools and have to compete with other students. The competing musicians and idols are admired by the rest of the student body. Also, these two animes encourage that love of music is enough motivation. 

It's hard for me to not think about either of these series when watching them tbh. Both series features music as a prominent theme throughout each episode with the main female protagonist trying to learn the style and art of it. Both series features a prominent male cast who each specifies in music with different personalities and appearances. They make special bonds with the main female protagonist throughout the series as well. Both series also contain elements of drama, comedy, music, and romance. 

Both animes about music. Also there is one main character surrounded with group of guys. 

It got very romantic because every boys that a girl met feel in love and try to get her love them, have very good music to listening, there a lot of handsome/cute guys in the shows!!!! ^.^ 

Both anime are about music... in both anime it turns around a girl who loves music and is taking music lessons... during the episodes the two girls will meet diferent guys that will fall in love with her but one of them is more important to her <3

The music situation and girl position in harem are similar. Both don't go to detailed into the romance and the music used it pretty good. If you like Primo passo u will 100% prince-sama, if you have watched prince-sama and not Primo passo I think you should still watch it even though it might not be as thrilling as doing it vise-versa. 

They're both alike in its genres = music, romance, comedy. They do have the same story plot that shows how music can change anyone and to strive hard for what we really dream of. 

Both have a reverse harem structure, where the sweet, "natural" girl is surrounded by very talented, very good-looking men. Both focus on music, with Primo Passo featuring more classical music, and Uta Pri featuring pop music. Neither one has a very great plot structure - you won't be surprised by anything that happens, and the obstacles encountered by the protagonists are overcome fairly easily. 

Both are about music. In La Corda, it's more about classical music. I heard a couple of songs that I used to listen when I was younger. It's kind of nostalgic. And in Prince-Sama, it's modern music that you could dance on =P. For me, it was a world to discover of high ranked talent. It made myself wanted to learn more. ^^' 

Both of these are Reverse Harem anime and both take place in a music school, involving music students trying to progress as musicians and many male students are effected by one girls determination and love of music. 

If you liked UtaPri, then you're pretty much guaranteed to like La Corda D'Oro as well. Along with being a reverse harem type anime based off of a video game, it also embraces the musical theme, though in La Corda, it's centered around instrumental music instead of vocals. La Corda also contains a wide selection of handsome guys with unique personality types. I think the heroine in La Corda is a slight bit more interesting as well.

Both UtaPri and Kiniro no Corda are essentially anime based around music appreciation. Kiniro no Corda takes this a little more seriously whereas UtaPri likes to focus more on the comedy, but both really like to delve into how music can be life changing. Also, both mc's begin as novice to music, but through the series begin to grow through their love for it. Both are also an odd sort of reverse harem in that all the pretty bishies fall for your girl, but romance almost never plays a part in the show. Also, both are FANTASTIC

Kiniro No Corda and Uta no Prince-sama both have the harem AND the music aspect. In Kiniro no Corda there's more using instruments while Uta no Prince-sama has instruments and vocals. The messages given through the music are absolutely astounding but I have to say that so far in Uta no Prince-sama the messages in Kiniro no Corda are much more powerful and have larger meaning. As for the harem aspect, in both there are also similar characters such as Azuma Yunoki and Jinguji Ren. Maybe even Ittoki Otoya and Kazuki Hihara. Either way, both are very strong in their music aspects and they have a lot of similiarities. The plots are also very good in my opinion and I reccommend that if you liked either, watch the other.  read more

La Corda DOro similar to Nodame Cantabile most because of the music in both of them. The characters are alike, exept the part that in LCD there is the magic touch... I enjoyed both of them because of the music~

They're both in essence about music, although they have somewhat different approaches. Nodame is more comedy while La Corda is more drama / romance. I'd also say that Nodame is a bit more serious about the music part since there's no magic involved and all that but basically both series are passionate and stresses the joy of playing it.  

They are both centred around classical music. Though Kaho plays the Violin and Nodame plays the Piano. There's also a lot of romantic moments in both of the animes. 

If you liked La corda d'oro, you sohuld definitely watch Nodame Cantabile. It is funnier, but it also has to do with classical music and it has a pretty good story. I recommend it to the ones that like that sort of anime. ;)

Both are romance+comedy genres but I would say in Nodame Cantabile comedy thread is more important than romance, while in La Corda it's just the other way about. Both are about music. Action takes place in high school. Character sets are similiar. Both series are really enjoyable, especially if you like classical music :)

If you like Kiniro no Corda: Primo Passo, better watch Nodame Cantabile. These shows are pretty similar, especially if you like musical anime. Both of this shows revolve around classical music though Primo Passo's a show that was kinda serious and Nodame Cantabile's something comedy-like, I think they're still similar, yet these shows are worth watching and must watch if you really like music, I'm sure you won't regret watching both of this.

Just think of Nodame Cantabile as La Corda d'Oro with a mature spin to it. Both anime revolve heavily around Classical music, although Nodame Cantabile is more serious about it. Both of the main characters play violin also. Both anime take place in school (a music conservatory for Nodame Cantabile). If you're looking for a more mature and "grown-up" La Corda (minus magic fairies), then this anime's for you. 

Nodame-chan is somehow more credible than the fairy skill of Kaho-chan :)

Both series' main protagonists are very talented but also cold towards their peers but deep down cares for those around him. The main female protagonist also has skills and is looking forward to demonstrating them to the world. Both series takes place at a school like setting featuring students interested in the art of music that explores the genre in its finest form.  

Main girls... meeting "fairy"-like creatures... having taught by one... learning... trying to appeal to others... both are kind of reverse-harem type... both stories are kinda cliche... 

well, the main character of la corda who plans to excel in playing violin also encountered a fairy but instead of sweet fairy, she encountered a music fairy... 

The basic theme is different, cooking vs music. But in both anime the main character, both females in a group of other males mostly, strives with their group to be better. The idea of making other happy is shown alot throughout both also the idea that you need to love cooking/music and be happy yourself in order to be good. Theres the slightest bit of romance and great friendships that start a little iffy. But in a personal opinion i think they were both joyful anime and very worth watching. Hope this helps ;] 

These two shows have very similar plots, except Yumeiro Patissiere takes place at a (middle school) pastry school and La Corda D'Oro takes place at a (high school) music academy. Seriously, it's practically the same show. 

Both have a girl who attends a school that revolves around skills (one is music, the other is cooking). Both of the founders for the schools had a relationship with a fairy, and so there is a big statue of the fairy at the front of the school. The girl meets a fairy and at first is a bit shocked (Kahoko from Kin. no Corda more so) but then gradually builds a friendship and trust with them. The fairies help the girl with a skill that they are absolutely terrible at, but then the girl slowly get better and can do things on her own. 

The fairies, the competitions, and the characters are all quite similar. (And that statue!) I liked Yumeiro better. 

Faries/Spirits that help an inexperienced main character hone in on their artistic potential in order to build skill and technique.  

La Corda and Yumeiro are both Shoujo and Reverse Harem and involve a girl who joins a competition, though only a "newbie” in what the competition is about. They both also have a Spirit/Fairy. 

Both main characters transfer to an art school and have to catch up to the rest, who are really talented. They are also surrounded by handsome guys with a talent for the art 

Even though the theme is different (in one is Music and in the other is Cooking), the story is basically the same. A girl (MC) with a skill that they are terrible at starts learning and strives to be better. They're surrounded by a group of very attractive guys, and get some help of "fairy"-like creatures. There are also some hints of romance here and there in both stories. 

Both are reverse harem and is fun to watch though Ouran High is much more fun than La Corda..still im sure you're going to enjoy both series..:D 

Both are school anime with a central female character surrounded by a lot of handsome guys. The girl comes to play a significant role in their lives helping them to change. Also, what both animes have in common is a rather ambigous romance line, when practically any male character has a potential to become a love interest for the main heroine. 

these two series seem like they don't have an ending. there are a bunch of guys, one girl and most of the guys(or all) are into the girl. lol. anyway, in both of these series you'll cry, laugh, and love these animes. both of these have music too, that is if you like music as much as i do. but these two are just awesome. ^^ 

If you're a fan of one girl being surrounded by a bunch of guys, then these are the animes for you. All the male love candidates are as differeent as can be, and you've got a nice selection of pairings to choose from ;) both are worth a look.

Like Ouran, La Corda has the huge (and very clueless) romantic pairs. And of course, all of the male cast falls for the violin-loving heroine, Kahoko Hino. It's funny and filled with music! 

they both having a group of high school students consisting of a girl among a bunch of charming guys who all are liking her. Only that Kiniro no Corda has a second girl but pretty much unthere cause of extream silence she has. with some love complications an challenges. They're so reminding me of each other! 

One girl surrounded by several popular guys at school in both of these series. Yup. But beyond that, both series contains plenty of drama and comedy. The characters all have various views on the main heroine and she gets to understand more in both series as the episodes progresses. There's also romance in both series although not fully explored in the anime adaptations; reverse harem.  

Even though the genres are quite different, the feel is the same. Both protagonists struggle with music. Both have beautiful classical music.

It focuses around music and romance, the soundtrack is just as gorgeous as the art. The main character is a girl who goes to a school with two parts-- General Studies and Music. The school is supposedly the place where a music fairy resides, the fairy is the one who commences all of the music competition, no one knows that the fairy is actually there unless they truly believe in music. The main character, Kahoko Hino is able to see the fairy by coincidence and is then granted a 'magical violin' anyone can play it as long as they can 'hear' the music and connect with it, Hino is forced to participate in a musical competition with the violin and along the way meets the other competitors-- that may or may not be extremely attractive and makes friends with them. There is some parts of romance, but this anime mostly focuses on the music, whereas Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso doesn't most of the time. So it's different in that perspective. Despite my horrible summary I hope you'll give this beautifully made anime a shot. :)  read more 

Both involves the same genre which is romance and classical music. The main female character are both violinist that has an encounter with a male pianist. Both female characters also have the same initial on their birth name. Both anime also have the same calm and dramatic feeling to it, although kiniro no corda is more in a harem style while shigatsu wa kimi no uso is more on the interaction between two people. 

The characters frequently reminded me of the ones in Special A, although they're different in their own way. Also, both stories are about a group of seven people that are being ranked and the main characters are very passionate. 

They both have a strong female character, surrounded by good-looking, extremely talented male characters. Both have a light-hearted, romantic feel - the story line never gets too deep, but they are both enjoyable to watch. 

Kiniro no Corda: Primo Passo, or La Corda d'Oro as it is more commonly referred to, is a romance shoujo anime, much like Special A. La Corda d'Oro is set in a school and has many different characters that are set in a 'club' like environment. It also has students with special abilities and every character has a different personality which allows you to like or dislike characters for whatever reason. I actually watched La Corda d'Oro before Special A; I'm certain that if you like Special A, you will like La Corda d'Oro for the same reasons.  

Reverse Harem + Bishounens for all those girls. o_o Also made by Koei, as well. 

La Corda is the same type of anime as Harukanaru, both drawn by the same artists. La Corda is about a girl who doesn't know anything about music and with some magical help starts excelling in playing the violin and there are loads of hot guys around her. Harukanaru Toki... is also about a girl with many other male characters who are hot, though it is set in the past. There's also magic in it. They're both cute, and they're both enjoyable anime so watch them 

Both are adaptions of a Neoromance game by KOEI, and they both have a reverse harem.  

These two show have a very similar feeling about them. Both are about rising young stars, and have some sort of spirit guiding them to their goal. Both get into difficult situations because of the mysterious abilities given to them by the spirits. And both learn to play without the help of the abilities given to them. I'd say, if you like one, you will definitely love the other. ❤ 

The Two Heros gain the ability through supernatural means,to play something. and over time develop interest for said thing. 

Both are romance and fantasy shows with a female lead and many good looking male characters. 

Even with all its flaws, La Corda d'Oro is definitely a better anime than Neo Angelique Abyss, but if you like reverse harem series and the art style you might as well enjoy both. They're the same in those aspects, and in both series a varied group of guys fall in love with the protagonist (sometimes for no apparent reason) and the two series includes supernatural or fantasy elements. 

Both anime are filled with eyecandies --- those are the bishounen male characters. Additionally, both stories are set in a school which is centered in a certain field. In La Corda, the school is a music school where the students play various instruments while in Starry Sky, the school specializes in astronomy. 

both female protagonist get help from special magical powers they both have hot guys that gets interested in the girl later on but not at first  

Their theme are similar: a girl surrounded by boys. This girl helps others to improve and to be better than before. Fruits basket has a really unique plot (which is about Zodiac characters and curse) while La Corda is about the music. Both are nice and worth to watch. Although "Oran high school" and "Special A" have also the same genre: reverse harem" but the dialogs and character design in "La corda" and "Fruit basket" are far better. They are touching and deep. I loved them. 

La Corda Doro is more reverse harem than Skip Beat!, but if you like skip beat you should give it chance. 

Both have a girl who gets a fairy character who helps them with skills that they don't have. Being able to have/see the fairies allows both girls to be accepted into different groups; in Shugo Chara, it's the Guardians, in Kiniro no Corda it's the musicians.  

La corda reminds me of hasakeru seishounen because both of them has a group of males that likes the main character/leading lady. But hasakeru is much more of a romance :-)
