Synopsis

In the year 2010, the Holy Empire of Britannia is establishing itself as a dominant military nation, starting with the conquest of Japan. Renamed to Area 11 after its swift defeat, Japan has seen significant resistance against these tyrants in an attempt to regain independence.

Lelouch Lamperouge, a Britannian student, unfortunately finds himself caught in a crossfire between the Britannian and the Area 11 rebel armed forces. He is able to escape, however, thanks to the timely appearance of a mysterious girl named C.C., who bestows upon him Geass, the "Power of Kings." Realizing the vast potential of his newfound "power of absolute obedience," Lelouch embarks upon a perilous journey as the masked vigilante known as Zero, leading a merciless onslaught against Britannia in order to get revenge once and for all.

There's nothing to say about Code Geass—except that it's a masterpiece. Lelouch is probably the single best-written character in anime, and I've seen a lot of them. His journey is so well done that the closer you get to the end, the sadder you feel—because you know it will soon be over.
The story: it's as good as it gets it's just intriguing to see where it goes it's filled with ambition.
the art: this anime is really old yet it holds up surprisingly well would even go as far to say it beats others from the same era.
if you like death note I would not waste ...

Mixed Feelings
**THIS REVIEW WILL SOLELY CONSIST OF MATERIAL FROM SEASON ONE**

Code Geass, is the “masterpiece” deemed by many for its stunning visuals and fights, amazing and compelling characters, and enticing storytelling. However, after my second watch of the show, I can affirm that all of that said is complete nonsense. Code Geass strikes a nerve within me, as while it is not a bad show by any means, it could have been dealt with way better. This is not a real professional review; I believe feelings play a huge part in rating and analyzing art mediums, but I will try to be objective and balanced. I ...

This show is the most disappointing pile of garbage I’ve ever watched tbh. Everyone claims it’s a masterpiece so I had my hopes up pretty high but…

The character’s motivations change in a heartbeat without good reason (looking at you Suzaku and Nina), characters themselves get resurrected with almost no explanation to drive the plot and we aren’t given any explanation as to how the actual Geass, that started the whole story, works. Lelouch (the only likable character in the whole story btw) only appears smart because he’s surrounded by complete idiots, when it’s clear the intent was to give him Sherlock Holmes type intellect.
The ...
