Yakumo is, in essence, a more rushed and poorly written version of Ghost Hunt. The two leads and their relationship is the same in both, though in Ghost Hunt the heroine's thoughts are expressed internally frequently, which makes her have far more depth and spunk than the hollow shell of a character that is Haruka. And the episodic stories themselves are far more involving and, at times, creepy than the average predictably on show in the first few Yakumo episodes.
Same type of cast - a male psychic that solves supernatural mysteries, with a cute female side kick. A bit of suspense, a bit of puzzle solving, a bit of romantic tension between the two protagonists. The two shows are simply very similar, even if Ghost Hunt feels like the better show.
The main guy character are cool and kidna cold... and the main girl character are pretty cute too... the story re scary (to me) but both are pretty good anime~ if you like one of them you should like other one too.
When I watched the first few episodes of Yakumo, Ghost Hunt just popped into my head. The characters are really similar; Naru and Yakumo, Mai and Haruka. Both contain investigations that deals with the paranormal, and teensy hints of romance between the main characters.
I have personally watched and finished Ghost Hunt, and am right now watching Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, an I just can't help but pick out many similarites. For example, Mai, from Ghost Hunt, and Haruka, from Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, have similar, if not same, person.'s. The same goes for Yakumo and Naru-Naru(as i call him). Also, both GH and STY have the same "hunt ghosts" theme, in which the female lead is often discribed as helpless.
As I scrolled through my history for no reason whatsoever I had a revelation. As I passed over Ghost Hunt I seriously thought of the synopsis for Shinrei Tantei Yakuumo. With good reason. I rarely make mistakes like that so I went back over both synopses and they both basically have the same plot. So if you like one you are bound to like the other.
Both involve ghosts, spirits, etc. and the solving of crimes/cases related to them. Both involve a gifted young man, a girl who supports him tackling cases, and their personal struggles (the latter seen more in Yakumo than in Ghost Hunt). In both, the main lead and his lady are supported by professionals in the same field. Both are dark but warm and very intriguing. Both are thoroughly enjoyable though I find that in Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, the emotional development of the characters, especially the lead (Yakumo), was more than that in Ghost Hunt. Both are very awesome, and I highly recommend them!
both have the central theme of "investigating paranormal activities" in tantei yakumo, it mainly deals with cases base on the main character's supernatural power while in ghost hunt, it mainly deals with cases by the help of the paranormal investigation team packed with different specialist. both paranormal cases are also interesting and there seemingly have a romantic aura between the male & female main characters in both series. Although I sometimes feel ghost hunt is scarier.
The personality of the main characters is very similar, tho there are very unique and detailed supporting characters in Shinrei Tantei Yakumo. Ghost Hunt is more scary, but Shinrei Tantei Yakumo in my opinion has better soundtracks and conflicts. Also, there was no supporting character in Shinrei Tantei Yakumo who even remotely annyoed me as Masako in Ghost Hunt :D
Both anime have a main and secondary character involving a boy who solves supernatural mysteries and a girl who is interested in him resulting in her helping him solve these mysteries. While the protagonists of both use different methods to solve those cases (Yakumo talking to ghosts and Kazuya using scientific instruments/spiritual techniques) they both have some sort of advantage over others in solving these types of cases. Moreover, Ghost hunt divides its episodes between cases while Yakumo is one big case where everything is connected to the protagonists destiny. These too anime are so similar that many claim that Yakumo is a half-assed version of Ghost Hunt. As such if you liked Yakumo you will definitely love Ghost Hunt. :) read more
Both stories show us the dark way into the supernatural world, that doesn't contain the harmless youkai we see in other stories. These stories are about male exorsists-investigators that know a lot of things about the supernatural and a female character the becomes evolved with the male MC. The male MCs are cool-headed and used a bit to much in the horros of the supernatural world thus making them a bit cold while interacting with other humans while the female MCs are naive and a bit to trusting of others.
-Both show have male lead character-
-Both smart and cunning yea-
-Both show have paranormal activity-
-But Shinrei Tantei Yakumo need more episodes or another season cuz some story are missing-
-Also guys don't mind shouja tag its just there thats all yea nvm that lol-
-Final comment is both awesome show and i happy that watched both show-
Similar anime in terms of the theme and overall atmosphere
- Both of them are based of Ghost/Spirit hunting.
- Both involve a girl having a crush on a cool and calm guy.
- Although Yakumo is relatively shorter anime than Ghost Hunt, both share common aspects of exploring happenings of mysterious spirits.
Both are shoujo ghost story with suspence, some puzzle and mystery. Same type of main male and female characters. Naru and Yakumo are the "cool, emotionless male" and Haruka and mai the "worrying sidekick". Even thier relationship are pretty much the same with some hints of romance between the main characters.
both leave a little something wanting at the end, have very good art, good story lines, neither are scary in any way, decent charecter growth, both have a slight romanance going on the side..all in all both animes worth the watch XD
It may not be like it, but it's very much like it in how it involves spirits and how it has a deep mystery. I'm not really sure that I should be reccomending this anime, but it's also very intellectual for one part. ^^ It's more of detective show, like Detecitve Conan. Non of the less, I still reccomend it and hope that you find it very similiar to Ghost Hound. =3
I think I saw Ghost Hound before Ghost hunt.... Well whatever. Even though the plot is farely different in both of them, the atmosphere and the subject is really similar.
You just finished either Ghost Hound or Ghost Hunt and want more ? Well then !! Give it a try, I think you wont regret it if you enjoyed one of these anime ! :)
The way the cases are solved have a similar feeling to each other.
Splendid use of music in both series.
The narration/introduction of a plot/case also resembles each other in terms of style and pacing.
Both series contain the theme of detective fiction as characters tries to solve mysteries using clues and their minds.
Both series' main protagonist possesses similar personalities in that they have an indifferent outlook on life and are usually in control of the situation.
The main heroine in both series also helps the main protagonist and are known to have an imaginative mind.
Both series have a mixture of comedy, drama, and of course mystery.
+ Mystery anime that mostly take place around a high school setting
+ The male protagonists are very similar in how they are fairly quiet and excel at solving mysteries
- Ghost Hunt has more horror aspects and is supernatural unlike Hyouka which is more relaxed with it's slice of life style and lack of supernatural elements
- Ghost Hunt is shoujo and Hyouka is shounen
Both have a similar art style and story-line of solving problems or mysteries most often that happen in their own schools. Both female leads have a connection to the MC that is looked at as unusual because both of the male leads have a standoffish personality that doesn't let other people get close. Of course in the case of Hyouka's male lead its a case of extreme laziness
In the world there are things we can't see but are of great importance. Ghosts, curses, dreams, superstitions and many other unexplained but commonly known phenomena.
At a general level people don't really believe in them, but sometimes they need to. So if, you are a part of those unbelievers who are in need to learn more about the other side of the world - the unseen and unknown side, you may be more than interested to do it while watching either Ghost Hunt, or xxxHolic. Both series provide much valuable and interesting information (personally, I leart alot just from watching!)
They are both scary when watched at night. I had goosebumps, especially that episodes of 100 tales of horror and the girl with blue dress, just like whenever i watch cases of ghost hunt where they have to deal with different supernatural events. The feel is so the same. Both are REALLY GREAT!
Both revolve around solving supernatural cases, although xxxHolic is more about youkai rather than ghosts and solves the cases via supernatural methods, while Ghost Hunt revolves around spirits and solves cases via scientific equipment and exorcisms.
Both anime include hunting ghosts/spirits.
The aim is to help other people.
In Dubbed both anime have the same voice actors for most of the main characters. (Kazuya = Kimihiro) (Mai = Himawari) (Lin = Doumeki) (Ayako = Yuuko).
I personally like the art style better in Ghost Hunt and feel it's a more realistic anime. There's more character development in Ghost Hunt and the characters are more likable.
Both are from the same creator, and have a supernatural mysterious plot with some horror and drama. The characters are all great, and the main character is a anti social boy with a cold attitude but he really cares about his friends and tries to find the truth behind the events.
Both are horror driven, Ghost hunt being more straight to the point with multiple stories while shiki is a plot driven horror. Both are creepy at times and both will leave you satisfied at the end of the series.
Shiki has a bit more gore than Ghost Hunt, and Ghost Hunt has a bit more humor, but both shows center around a teenage boy (Natsuno in Shiki and Shibuya in Ghost Hunt) and a small group of friends/associates who know that malevolent beings really exist and they try to put a stop to them. While Ghost Hunt is a bit more lighthearted than Shiki, it has its own scary moments that often put it in league with Shiki.
Both are hybrid horror anime. As in neither one of them is solely horror, but rather a mixture of genres depending on the story arc. Shiki is a cohesive epic outlining a remote village's untimely demise, ghost hunt is a mediocre collection of paranormal investigations.
This may seem like an odd recommendation, since both shows follow very different story lines; however the characters of each series reminded me of each other. For instance, the relationship that Naru and Mai (Ghost Hunt) have is just of that of Kazuma and Ayano's (Kaze no Stigma).
I think there similar because the relationship that Naru and Mai (Ghost Hunt) have is just of that of Kazuma and Ayano's (Kaze no Stigma)
Although they follow different story lines they both are about people whose job is to exorcise evil spirits, break curses and other things
They also have a similar main male lead who is full of himself and rather irritating to those around him
But everyone has there own opinion so if you decide to watch it you may enjoy it i know I did :)
They seem to remind me of one another, the main girl characters in both can be annoying but sweet, while the male main character in both can be dark, mysterious, but pure-hearted. You can also see a love interest between both couples. Both of these shows also are more towards a supernatural/power genre. While both shows have a dull moment here and there, I recommend them for they have many great ones.
1.Both the male leads are tsundere guys, and are very similar in their natures
2.The girls are both forced to work with the guys
3.Both the girls have abilities of their own, while they might be less than that of the main guys
4.Both the girls are hotheaded (Although no one can beat Ayano)
5.Both the animes have mystery themes (although Ghost Hunt is more mysterious and spooky too)
If you like one, you will like the other one as well.
right off, i'd have to say that ghost hunt is the better of the two [even though majin hasn't finished airing yet].. but both are episodic series with mysteries being solved.. a young high school girl with no family follows around a mysterious sempai-mystery-solver.. um.. there isn't a whole lot as far as character development goes in either of the series.. majin has more bizarre [and shocking] humor while ghost hunt sticks to the paranormal shockers without the laughs.. both involve the supernatural-majin's main character is a demon with really strange mystery-solving methods.. while ghost hunt focuses on the religious or spiritual methods of ghost hunting [ghost, monster, poltergeist, psychokinetic hunting].. anyways, i wasn't a huge fan of either, but methinks if you liked one you might enjoy the other.. read more
Neuro and Ghost Hunt are both detective anime. They both have some similar aspects of each other like: both being comical and creepy at the same time. And also, both of these series have hinted romance.
Both have a girl who becomes the partner of a guy who is extremely smart and who solves crimes. Each have supernatural themes in it (Majin has more, though). The main girl in each anime at first appears to be weak and useless, but later on shows to be a perfect fit for the job. Each anime has a team of some sort that works in an office.
Both female leads are high school students who get dragged into solving cases. Both female leads have 1 or more parents that are deceased. Both female leads have hidden talents and secrets. Both female leads get dragged around by the male leads.
Main theme of the supernatural and other occult occurrences in both series but Ghost Hunt has a more eerie feel and less comedic situation than Ghost Stories.
Ghost Stories focuses more on Japanese supernatural and folklore while Ghost Hunt on murders and some para-psychology ideas.
the first few episodes (and some of the ones after) are about haunted school buildings in Ghost Hunt, similar to the one in Ghost Stories. are both about those that "destroy" ghosts, though Ghost Stories is a lot more comedic in the English dubbed version.
Horror! Mystery! Adventure!! Ghost Stories is an anime highly similar to Ghost Hunt based on plot. Satsuki and her friends discovered ghost and spirits throughout the story and try to figure out how to get rid of them etc. Both are highly enjoyable and definitely resemble each other in the style such as ghost and mystery.
Ghost Hunt is about supernatural investigations. Tantei Gakuen Q is also about investigations, it may not be supernatural, or have good animation (old) but if you like good detectives stories, then watch this 2 animes.
Both are mystery orientated anime, and both involve rather big groups to help in the cases (unlike Conan or Kindachi). Though Ghost hunt is more on the supernatural and Detective School Q is mainly about closed room murders, enjoying one will lead to enjoying the other, if your heart can stand Ghost Hunt, that is.
Crime, investigations, suspense, a group of people that stick together in "fishy" situations...Yup, these are just some of the similarities. Even though Ghost Hunt is more on SF part, they still have the detective touch as a similarity.
So go ahead, watch them both, a get that detective spirit going!
Both gives a creepy scary feeling when trying to solve a case, especially an eerie case. Both shows takes you on a journey on how the case is solved. However, ghost hunt is about solving cases due to the supernatural, and detective academy Q is total logic.
A mystery, drama and comedy anime with a smart and renowned male protagonist who set up a team of detectives/psychics each with their own abilities to solve cases. Each episodes are intriguing and entertaining.
Both series are about various stand-alone incidents related to supernatural events, and an organization composed of people from various religious/occult affiliations that work together. Though the views on how magic works and personalities of the character varies greatly, both shows have a lot a similarities.
Ghost Hunt- Group of people with different types of exorcism powers(spirit medium, miko, etc.) helping with cases people hire them for.
Rental Magica- Group of people with different types of magic (celtic witch, demon summoner, etc.) helping with problems people hire them for.
Both series is involved in mystery super natural&poltergeist.but i prefered ghost hound because they have great stories that make you want to keep wacthing, this is best horor series that i have seen comparing with other title had also super natural story spice .You will never regret if you watch this series.
There was a time I thought I disliked the horror genre, but then I found series like Zombie-Loan and Ghost Hunter, which taught me there is more to the genre than just the scare factor. Both series for example have characters I found myself falling in love with, yet I also felt more compelled to chills from the psychological torment of seeing a beloved character potentially come to harm. These series taught me the draw of Horror isn't in the gore, but the feeling.
The girl is forced to join the club because she broke an important item of the club. Instead of romance, it has a horror and comedic vibe. Not a harem or reverse harem though. Just mysteries and cases to solve.
In essence, both these series contain the elements of horror, mystery, and the thriller like feelings when you watch its progressing episodes. In other words, there are some cliffhangers that leaves the viewers wondering "what will happen next?"
At any rate, Another and Ghost Hunt are similar in a variety of ways. Both series contains a school like setting where mystery is present. Additionally, the main protagonist is accompanied by a girl throughout the series with all the strange phenomenon going around.
Both series although different in terms of story structure builds itself through suspense, horror, and mystery.
Both series' characters are also teenagers and thus has an urge to be curious and solve complications going around them despite the potential dangers. Both series overall should be an entertaining watch for those into detective fiction with a little added horror and thriller like ending vibes to them.  read more
As you may infer from the title it's about Ghost Hunting. A group of people are contacted by various people to check out the ghostly thing that are happening to either their house of around them. The case are intriguing and awesome which you can also try to solve with the characters. One thing I love about the cases are that they are not cliches or boring old ghost stories.
Both share horror themes. While the deaths are not similar, the victims died of an unfortunate fate regardless of the situation. Ghost Hunt in addition has somewhat better storytelling and certain cases within the series are truly horrific.
Both animes are about supernatural beings, but with a few alienations. While Vampire Knight deals with the 'bad guys' (The Vampires) in main roles, Ghost Hunt is about chasing the 'bad guys' (in this case Ghosts, Demons, etc). Vampire Knight also deals with a Love Triangle while Ghost Hunt is about a normal relationship (that builds up a little slower and less obvious than on VK). Naru (from GH) is similar to Kaname/Zero in so far that he is also very mysterious and doesn't want people come too close to him.
If you like ghost hunt and the dark thing. You will love jigoku shoujo. it is about paranormal things to0. But in jigoku it is about people being totaly pushed to despair and contacts jigoku (hell girl) to cast thier tormentor into hell and Ghost hunt is about people who has died realy awfull. But the point is they both are realy scary and are best watched at night. Muhahahaha see you in hell.
Both series involve chasing after something paranormal. Be it ghosts or an object. Ghost is divided by arcs while Occult Academy is one whole story. If you like the "thrill of the hunt" Ghost Hunt might be the choice for you.
If supernatural mysteries are your thing, here are two series with a lot in common on that line. Great characters and great stories bring both pseudo detectives stories to life with an array of the supernatural that makes them both work. :)
Both anime are set in our own world, thou in diffrent times (Shounen Onmoyouji is set several houndreds years ago, Ghost Hunt is set in present day world) and they are about individuals exorcising evil spirits and protecting others from curses.
It should be noted, that althought both anime have very similar main theme, Shounen is more action oriented and Ghost Hunt is more about puzzle solving.
Both Ghost Hunt and Tasogare Otome X Amnesia have a supernatural feel but in a light way, it's enough to be scary but at the same time could make you laugh.
and they both have a good amount of romance to them as well
both have mystery suspense plots, with similar art style, and humor. it could be argued that that character roles are reversed which give this anime a little bit of stand offish- ness to some audiences, but is actually a pretty minor part of the story. the ages of the characters is similar too, but in a younger form.
Both contain mystery elements as well as the topic of death. While Ghost Hunt targets the supernatural, Ranpo is more about murder.
Both anime have a "cool" character (Kazuya and Akechi). They're not exactly alike but share similar personality traits and positions in accordance to the mc.
Both main characters have secretary/assistant positions.
-Solving mysteries related to paranoia activity that effect humans negatively (Mushi and Spirits)
-Mainly episodic or small arcs which makes it easy to follow and doesn't get too boring/long
-Ginko (Mushishi) works alone while there is a team of experts in Ghost Hunt
-Mushishi has a calm atmosphere while Ghost Hunt is more horror/ghost stories, but I found both animes extremely enjoyable. However, if you are not into scaring stuff, than I wouldn't recommend Ghost Hunt for you.
While watching these shows I felt an odd link between them. While one was far more serious and better made than the other, both had a very simliar appeal to them. Both dealing with the supernatural, and a young girl who by chance becomes entangled in the life of a young detective. If you are looking for a show that is similar in almost (aside from the quality and level of seriousness) every way to the other, this would be it.
It's funny sometimes to see that Ghost Hunt and Darker than BLACK both has the mystery type, investigation, type of anime. However, Ghost Hunt has more Comedy into the anime than Darker Than Black. On the other hand, I find that Darker Than Black has lots of funny parts on most of the episodes, but most of the time it's mostly focused on the serious aspect of investigation.
Holmes and Naru are similar characters, both being smarter than average and with a somewhat dark personality (although Holmes is a much friendlier and nicer than Naru).
Ghost Hunt is also a lot more serious and with a deeper plot (and a better series), but the general idea of both shows is not that different.
It's not 100% guaranteed that you will like one if you liked the other, but it may be worth trying.
Ghost Hunt and D. coil both have people investigating strange experiences. D. Coil deals with a technological occurrences while Ghost Hunt is looking into the paranormal. They both have great character development
Ghost Hunt and Bakemonogatari anime are similar in that they deal with many different supernatural mysteries. They are divided into several arcs. Each arc deals with different cases.
If you are into the Mystery genre which involves supernatural beings, I recommend these animes.
Eerie mysteries in both animes solved predominantly with logic (although Ghost Hunt involves more supernatural occurrences). In both animes the 2 main characters are partners in solving mysteries, separated by a considerable age gap. The younger accomplice is just a high schooler, but has more potential than initially thought, while the older accomplice specializes in what they do.
Here we have two anime with a very similar concept : a group of students involved in supernatural horrific situations and trapped in closed areas , and try to figure-out a solution to bring peace ( exorcise to be precise ) to the ghosts they are dealing with. However, Ghost Hunt is oriented to paranormal investigation and have not real gore scenes.
Ghost Hunt doesnt really have much in common w/ Hiiro except maybe ghosts and supernatural powers. But they both have the main male lead have a tremendous power within that u dont find out until the end. The main female leads also discover their power throughout the anime, but Mai discovers her power way faster than Tamaki. And John remings me a bit of Shinji and Naru reminds me of Takuma a bit. Ghost Hunt ends with a sort of unresolved resolution though, but I loved it. It is one of a kind.
The only similarities are the supernatural stuff that is going on and the whole team work thing to defeat evil...
Reasons to watch Ghost Hunt:
-No actual romance
Reasons to watch Inuyasha:
-Creepy at times
Both shows are horror and deal with the paranormal. Ghost Hunt's episodes are longer, but it has several story arcs that tell different horror stories in the way that Yami Shibai tells a different story with every episode.
" Ghost Hunt " is a group of people who solve supernatural Mystery.
" Hunter X Hunter " is a licensed profession for those who specialize in fantastic pursuits such as locating rare or unidentified animal species, treasure hunting, surveying unexplored enclaves, or hunting down lawless individuals.
Both Vatican Kiseki Chousakan and Ghost Hunt share an atmosphere of highly stylized mystery. There is a sense that the protagonists are trying to rationally examine a supposedly supernatural phenomena through the lenses of Science and History. There are situations that are genuinely horrifying, but there are also moments of extremely campy graphic violence or splatter effects. Fans of one would likely thoroughly enjoy the other.
both anime have a very similar dark and bittersweet atmosphere.
the female protagonist dont know much about them selfs in the begining until later on.
they both find out they are special and that they have some special supernatural power.
both anime have a very mysteroius feel to it and makes u want to find out the truth. and what there characters are in the end and there back stories.
Both shows deal with the supernatural. Both have a cast of characters that use different approaches to deal with supernatural. Both have their own sense of humor.
Ghost Hunt's is more about mystery and suspense. Blue Exorsist is more action.
Both mysteries. Main protagonist is a girl, gets roped into investigations by main male protagonist. Both school aged teens.
Difference? Tantei Team is slice-of-life and Ghost hunt has horror and supernatural elements.
They are both mysteries and psych type genre. The difference is this is a detective case where as Ghost hunt is a more of a spiritual/ghost searching detective. Besides from the same creepy vibes and similar genre type, everything else is different.
The key similarity is the interaction between the male and female protagonist and their character design (more or less).
Chiaki (Nodame Cantabile) is very similar to Naru (Ghost Hunt) in the sense that they are both young, handsome, talented, narcissistic, self centered etc..
Nodame (Nodame Cantabile) is similar to Mai (Ghost Hunt) where they are both klutzie characters, a bit of an air head, but has a latent talent that surprises our male lead.
The interaction between the two pairs is what makes the similarity stand out. The super one sided infatuation from both Nodame and Mai to Chiaki and Naru respectively are pretty much the same. Girl falls for guy (within the first episode). Girl love/hates guy's selfish narcissistic nature. Girl is still hopelessly in love with guy. And the guy treats the girl like second rate even though they do care.
If you really want to know what I mean, watch both series and see for yourself! read more
Both Detective Conan and Ghost Hunt revolve around solving mysteries. While the mysteries are much different, Detective Conan revolving around murder, and Ghost Hunt revolving around ghosts and spirits, both are quite enjoyable.
If your looking for an anime that pulls you into the story and mystery with great animation you will find that Shion no Ou and Ghost Hunt have these in common, Ghost Hunt is about supernatural mysteries and Shion no Ou's mystery is about finding the killer in a real world crime, they both have fantastic animation and a tiny hint of romance, great characters and fantastic mysteries!
If you liked one you will definately like the other.
the same school/youth setting. both good dramas, and has good action. ghost hunt is more supernatural (crime involving supernatural phenomena) whilst shigofum is more serious and darker/more gruesome (letters from the dead which stir up trouble), but both are good watches. also has a very small touch of comedy to both of them.
On the basic level these two animes are very dissimilar, but ignoring that, they have a very similar feel.
Both deal with powers of some sort and have somewhat stand alone episodes. The main characters are young girls who are strong (more physically so in HY) and going on adventures of sorts. Also, they both share a mix of humor and creepiness (a little more creep and a little less humor in GH).
Look closely and you'll think. "These two animes are nothing alike". Le Portrait de Petit Cossette has more of a dramatic feel to it, while Ghost Hunt slides way more towards a comedy(Le Portrait de Petit Cossette is very VERY far from a comedy).
But for some reason, they both appealed to me in a similar way. So if you're looking for a horror, dramatic version of Ghost Hunt with a tad of romance, go for Petit Cossette. If you're in the mood for a more lighthearted supernatural anime, go for Ghost Hunt.
Both shows revolve around a team of people solving cases that have to do with the supernatural. Although Kuroshitsuji includes demons, shinigamis and similar creatures, Ghost Hunt revolves more-so around spirits and hauntings. Regardless, what these two shows have in common are the 3-4 episode arcs that are tie together to describe a full story.
The main heroines of both animes are similar: a sweet, good-natured orphan who bravely struggles with life and then meets some guys who come to take care of her (and the other way round). Ghost Hunt also contains a series of ghost myseries the main characters have to solve.
Both series involve exorcists dealing with evil with a female as the main protagonist. However, Ghost Hunt takes a more traditional approach as opposed to fighting evil with swords, etc. But both are great series for supernatural suspense and action.
They are similar in the act of getting rid of something evil. Each episode is mind bending. Plus the two main characters show a love towards eachother. The art style is very similar and the story line is somewhat carelessly put together the same way.
When I began watching Monster, it reminded me of Ghost Hunt. While Ghost Hunt has supernatural elements, the small stories that take place in the series have similar aura. They are usually both about murder and betrayal and they can also be quite frightening. Finally, the psychological element is present in both.
Clannad: A good anime that can call the tears to break out.
Ghost hunt: Another good anime that kan make tears come out.
Clannad: An anime that has a lot of good story and alot of lovey dovey but still some very serious parts and some funny ones two.
Ghost hunt: An anime that is serious most of the time but still have some comedy and a little lovey dovey in the sideline.
All in all: They both are some realy good animes and if you dont watch any of them you are going to regret it.
Jigoku Sensei Nube and GH both deals with paranormal activity. Nube is much more lighthearted and comedic than GH and incorporates more Japanese mythology than in GH. Although there were some genuinely creepy moments in Jigoku Sensei Nube as well.
Even though their storyline were different, there do share some similar points. The animation quality were quite similar. There had enjoyable characters. There both focuses on comedy, horror and supernatural stuff. When I watch this, it remind me of D.Gray-Man. So,if you love this series, you may like or love D.Gray-Man. Try it out.:D
Both animes revolve around mystery, paranormal activity and telepathy. In addition, the protagonist, Ran, looks alot like Mai in Ghost Hunt. I'm sure if you liked Ghost Hunt, you'll enjoy TSR as well :)
Both focuses on the paranormal and scary aspects of storytelling. While Higurashi can be downright wicked, gruesome, and horrifyingly disgusting, Ghost Hunt dwells more on a Scooby-Doo type of investigations that can be just as scary and horrifying.
