The same genres and The characters look so much alike (even Tsukasa has the same name). Not to mention the fact that I couldn't help but notice the entire way through that one reminded me of the other. Ichigo is like an ecchi version of Tokimeki Memorial.

Tokimeki and Shuffle are hilarious harems where there are similiar characters in each show. Both have a shy girl, a shool idol, and a funky outgoing chick. i guarantee that if you watch one show you will LOVE the other. ;)

Though there's a huge time gap between both anime, Orange Road is still a precious classic, and in many ways, both Tokimeki and Orange Road have common elements. Especially in the story, and some of the cast. You'll definitely like Orange Road if you're fine with 1987's cel art.
