The heroines of these series are extremely similar in both their personalities and their outlooks on life. Mikan and Sakura are both elementary-school girls who find their school life difficult because of their crazy classes, especially one troublemaking boy. They succeed in solving their problems using their optimism, never-give-up attittues, and unique skills.
I think you'll like Kodocha and Gakuen Alice; they are so alike in so many ways its not even funny. The main character cares for the main guy character, tries to help them out in what they can. The main character tries to prove something to the guy main character and its gets out of hand with a bunch of laughter, and a lot of sadness. Just watch it and you'll know what im talking about. ;D
Sana and Mikan has the similar personality. Aside from that, they both are dense in terms of love. And the main male characters: Natsume and Hayama are both cool type, yet secretly love the girl.
The story line is similar too, like in the beginning, were both classes are really corrupted, but the main character will change it to the good way and make it peaceful. Both Mikan and Sana carries a huge problem on them, but they'll do their best to solve those problems.
And lastly, these two anime are more on friendship. Eventhough GA doesn't have much love, but they're really similar in terms of friendship. read more
Similiar characters and comedy. Sana and Mikan are almost the same (both twintailed and hyperactive), and same goes for Akito and Natsume (usually serious and cold but also very angsty and little perverts).
Both anime have kids as protagonists, are set at school, deal with friendship, and have romance. Kodomo No Omocha has more drama than Gakuen Alice, and the latter has magic instead of music.
Both of these Anime take place in a school setting and the main female lead has to deal with a boy who is anti-social as possible. They also have simular style to the art work and the female character ends up changing the status quo, so to speak.
Both of them have a female protagonist who ultimately just helps out the male who they of course fall in love with. But in Gakuen Alice or Alice Academy it is currently only season 1 and so nothing major has happened and the only way to know is to keep reading the manga.
Kodomo no Omocha and Gakuen Alice both have VERY similar characters. Natsume is a lot like Akito, and Mikan is a lot like Sana. The relationship between the two is also VERY similar. Kodomo no Omocha doesn't involve supernatural powers though. Other than that, they're REALLY similar.
The main girls are basically the same character; a very energetic girl who is oblivious to people's feelings. Akito and Natsume are also basically the same, being an unfeeling dangerous guy, but I think that Akito shows more feeling.
Both series start off in the same way, with a girl who is in a rowdy class but then she challenges the leader and he ends up falling in love with her.
Both have love triangles between the main girl, a cold guy (Akito/Natsume), and a nice guy (Luka/Naozumi), but it is obvious who she's going to end up with.
Both series are about kids in grade 5/6, and have the similar theme of "adults are just humans and therefore are not always right".
Gakuen Alice is fantasy while Kodocha is slice of life. read more
The main charcter girls are both generally happy and work hard, and the are both not really smart. The main guy characters are both cold and show no emotion and usually teases the the main girlsr. They both have a side character that likes the girl, they both also have a guy friend who wheres glasses that tries to help with their problems, Both main girls look similar. Both animes have really funny moments but only rarely in certain times do they keep on serious moments. Both animes are set in Elemenatry school, and Both girls dont have siblings.
The characters in kodocha act like Clones of Mikan and Nastume "Sana" Is like Mikan in the way she is kinda an "Air head" and she is goofy. High energy, loveable type character, "Akito" Is like Natsume in the way of a "Tsundere" Character Cold but so funny, You truly will not regret watching kodocha if you love Gakuen alice!
Both have a poppy, funny and look a like leads and both main characters encounter and bad boy in class and try to fix them up. Personally I think their both fun and funny anime that anyone can enjoy except for the viewers who like dark theme anime.
Both female leads are high spirited, hardworking girls with a pechnant for finding stray dogs, that is they bring out the best in people, and their male leads are their foils being capable, exuding coolness and mystery and both weirdly love sexually harrasing their partner (but they're still kids so that can be forgiven). The tone starts off light and fluffy but gets more serious as we progress. They both are extremely enjoyable and made me laugh however Kodomo no Omocha has a greater number of episodes and can be quite frustrating in comparison to Gakuen Alice.
They are both in the same genre. They both have similar plots.Kodomo no Omocha is your love problems and uncertainly when your a kid.Marmalade boy plot is similar because of uncertainties and love problems but the main characters are a bit older and mature. They both have happy endings too despite of all the difficulties.
The plots of these two anime are waay different (but I think that's a good thing, you don't want to watch the same anime twice) and the only noticeable similarity is the hair color of the two main characters (romantic interests). But what I think you'll later find is that both of these anime give very mature situations to the characters. In Kodomo no Omocha, the characters are in Elementary School through Middle School yet they're given some problems that you wouldn't expect children their age to be able to get through. In Marmalade Boy, although they're in high school, they still get some pretty intense situations.
One thing I definitely know is that I watched Kodomo no Omocha right after I watched Marmalade Boy and it was one of my best decisions because they are both two of my favorites.  read more
The two main characters are almost exactly the same! in a way!! xD! It focuses on how the two young couple cannot stand each other and yet fall in love with each other. It also deals with their friends who do not know that the two live together IDKK ITS REALLY GOOD!
They're both about love and both SUPER GOOD ughhhh these are my 2 fave animes of all time along with Kirarin Revolution and I totally recommend that you watch that too but I can't explain it, just watch the 2 and you might understand. Daa Daa Daa is about 2 kids, Miyu and Kanata, who raise a little alien baby, Ruu, and his pet-sitter Wanya, after they landed on earth from planet otto by accident. Kodocha is also about 2 kids, Sana and Akito, who face many problems in school, and have some differences. Both kids end up marrying, both kids end up having daughters, and both kids hated each other in the beginning!! read more
Since I watched Full Moon wo Sagashite first, I kinda have the same feeling. It's an anime that you would think to be for children, but both have a much deeper storyline hidden in them which makes it really good. I have the feeling that the darker storyline starts sooner in Kodomo no Omocha, but in my opinion they are both worth watching.
This anime is just like gakuen alice it has a magic girl theam to it and the charaters a just like them. there's a love tringle with 1 girl and a bad boy (just like natsume) and a good boy ( just like ruka) The girl can be dence. Omg just watch it!
The main heroine in both anime are a bit different in terms of personality and background but both stories are similar in that both girls deal with the problems that come with being a 12 year old girl including love.
Very similar. Both have evergetic girls with twintails, a troublemaking boy, take place in 6th grade, and have a story filled with love and the confusions of growing up. Difference is, Kodocha tends to have a more solid and intricate plot. 12-Sai gives off the impression it was, if not actually, made to give advice to young girls growing up.
Both these shows have crazy main characters who are idols, two potential love interests and a crazy pet/animal thing. I find myself thinking of kodocha many times when i watch kirarin. If you liked kodocha i'd defenitely give kirarin a try. oh, and vice versa. Kodocha has a much deeper story to it though.
These two anime directed by Akitarou Daichi are both crazy looks into the entertainment industry with a similar hyperactive style and crazy sense of humor, including snarky commentary by bizarre little creatures in the foreground.
Besides being by the same director, both shows have a similar spastic lead character, lightning-fast pacing, and quirky yet funny characters. The drawing styles of the two shows look a little similar as well.
I don't know why someone hasn't recommended this one yet. The anime plot, characters, and just basically everything is the exact same! They do have different story lines, but the jerk guy likes the girl, the girl acts all tough and doesnt show anything. Same romance, same comedy, both very good and enjoyable! Only difference is that maid-sama is the older version of kodomo no omocha (kodocha) and kodomo is also an older series. Kodomo no omocha is based on younger characters and ages, but the romance is actually more deep in it as well as the story then it is in kaichou wa maid-sama. If you watched either of these, you will definantly love the other! read more
Sana and Tenman have similar personalities. Plus both series revolve around a love triangle and much like Kenj, Akito doesn't like to show too much emoticons towards people. However both main boys show feeling for the main girls.
Both of the main girls are played by the same voice actor. The humor in this show is quiet similar to one another. Both girls are also very peppy and try to keep a positive attitude. They both also keep something to hit someone with. For Sana it's a mallet, and for Maka it's a book.
All in all both animes are different but the characters have similar personalities
Kodocha/Itazura na Kiss
[Both girls are full of energy]
[Both girls are also not very smart]
[Both guys are cold and emotionless]
[Both guys are smart]
In both animes the girl ends up teaching the boy a lesson. Both animes are very keen on show how the characters have progressed and grown
-Main characters were actors at young ages
-similar main character personalities
-Comedy and romance
-Caring 'rei's that acts similar to a mother figure but double's as an agent (also similar pasts)
- Both main characters 'run away' from home
Ao haru ride and Kodomo no omocha(kodocha)Both Main girls (futaba&Sana)try really hard to be happy and meet the Main guys (Kou&AKito) Which in they both have problems involving in which their Moms past away and they live with their Dads and their older sibling, both main guys have problem in which both main girls end up trying their best to help them. Both main girls are an only child, and both main guys hide their pain and show no emotion on the outside.
If you are a fan of Taichi and Chihaya's relationship then I recommend this anime to you. Although Kodocha is not sports anime, Taichi and Chihaya's relationship reminds me of Sana and Akito.
Taichi reminds me so much of Akito, on how Akito is always there for Sana and although he love her so much he couldn't get himself to tell her about it.
Chihaya reminds me of Sana she is very dense when it comes to love. She never noticed Akito's feeling even though they are almost always together for each other.
The way that both of them make each other strong and bring each other's confidence when they are starting to feel down.
So Yeah if you are a fan of Taichi and Chihaya and want to watch or read Shoujo anime/manga then I recommend this Kodocha. read more
These animes are both about a person trying to find other person's soft side.
In Kodocha it's Sana tries to find the real Akito
In Ookami-san it' Morino trying to find the real Ookami-san.
Ookami-san and Aktio are both very strong yet weak. Both also seem to find themselves falling for the ones to already care about them.
In Kodocha Akito falls for Sana first unlike Ookami-san and Morino.
I feel both animes are quite simular... for a start... Misako Kurata and Shigure Sohma are both authors who make their editors worry. Also both have the genres of Comedy, Drama, Romance and Shoujo. There are also the same english voice actors for some characters. Both main female characters [Sana Kurata and Tohru Honda] help other characters find happiness in some way. I'm sure that if you've watched one that you will enjoy the other! Thats happened for me anyway :3 ~
Kodocha and Great Teacher Onizuka are very similar. For example they are both very funny, yet can get very serious at times. Neither series ruins the mood with humor, but works it into the plot at the right parts, and with a bit of great directing, both series pull this off very well. Both series have about the same mixture of Comedy and Drama that makes them very great series overall. Both series also have a good story to tell and never feel corny or goofy, and the drama can get really good! Both series also have high replay value. They also tend to deal with similar themes at times. Both series being from the 1990's also have a bit of dated animation, and just "feel" the same. They are in the same "spirit and style" you could say.
Kodocha is a little more "fast paced" and "off the wall crazy humor" but it still has some GTO type humor, and the comedy/drama mixture is pretty much the same. Although GTO can get fast paced every once in awhile, a lot of the humor is a bit laid back (although not Cowboy Bebop style laid back, but close). GTO is very manly, while Kodocha is a little girly, but both will work for both genders who watch them, no worries. Nothing in either show to turn off either gender. GTO is a little more "mature" however, and I find it to be the greater of the two (so far). But both are great series. if you love one, check out the other. read more
It's about an elementary school girl with a gigolo. Enough said.
Actually, the hired flesh in question, Rei, is more like Sana's bodyguard than what that term implies, even if she calls him her gigolo/boyfriend. Their relationship never goes further than an open crush she has on him. The show sometimes uses mature dialogues and themes, but apparently it's appropriate enough to show to (Japanese) kids.
also from ribbon this anime's not as crazy but its comedy can definitely be enjoyed the kodocha fans. this anime also has great characters like kodocha, romance isn't in the same way but still juicy.
also if you watch akazukin cha cha you'll notice all the references to acc in kodomo no omocha
Sana is a actress who goes to school to be a normal girl which is the same plot as this but in this Nagisa is a singer who dresses up as a boy to attend normal school. Both of these shows share slapstick strange comedy romance and strong female leads and similar animation Chou came out in 1993 and Kodocha in 1995.
While these two mangas have characters with very different ages (Kodomo is elementary and middle school while Hana Yori Dango is high school) The dynamic is similar; A bad boy who is misunderstood and the strong-willed girl that creates a change in them.
This is not a shoujo of giggling awkward moments, like nervousness about holding hands or kisses, but more about the serious and adult-like situations that the characters go through together. Situations quickly turn life-threatening and will pull the reader from laughing to tears.
Hana Yori Dango had underlining themes of class separation and money while Kodomo no Omocha focused on problems in families and a psychological reasoning behind a person's problems and stigmas.
Both wonderful stories! Hana Yori Dango even has a live-action one on Hulu! read more
Both the main guys are having troubles with their family because of their mothers death and the main girls both help them through that. Not only that but the lead girl from Kodomo no Omocha has an ilness. Not really much alike but both are just such sweet plots. I would recommend the manga though.
Both feature remarkable slice-of-life stories that are both written effortlessly, and are surprisingly addicting lacking every fan-factor necessary for a typical anime.
They also have some really great characters, dialouge, humor, and have some of the best romance stories that anime can offer.
Cross Game has sports elements that accent the slice-of-life features rather than dominate them. Themes of loss, tradegy, grudges, loyalty, and moving on are present. A bit slower paced than Kodomo, but there's never a boring moment.
Kodomo is twice the length of Cross Game, has MUCH more zany humor than Cross Game, borderlining on insanity at times! Themes of social separation, difference of growing up, and nurture vs. nature are present. read more
Both series feature the ups and downs of being a superstar in the music/acting business. The relationships made by the lead characters share similar interactions. Akito and Sana share many characteristics with Chiaki and Nodame. However, Kodocha tackles much darker themes later on in the series.
Kodomo no Omocha's lead character and Skip Beat!'s lead character both have a firey attitude and seek revenge (Kodomo no Omocha's lead character eventually stops seeking revenge) of a male character. Kodomo no Omocha's character at one point says, "If I don't get revenge on him, I'll go insane~!" while Skip Beat!'s lead character has her little Pandora's box of hauntings. They are both also in the show biz world.
Kodomo no Omocha and Glass no Kamen have similar setting within the showbiz. While Kodomo no Omocha starts as a light comedy with main character in a primary school, it becomes more serious, with some drama elements. Glass no Kamen is a drama first, and have a heavier air about it. Both anime have got a love story in their plot and a main character working towards their goals. I enjoyed both shows immensely.
