Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya is basically Fate/Stay night meets Cardcaptor Sakura. Just on the more serious side and with epic battles.

Everything starts off cute and girly, then an accident happens where the main character discovers that she's a special person related to supernatural and non-human events, but makes new friends and starts to live their new lives as normal, and then the dark plot twist happens

Little girls risking their lives fighting in Alternate Realities while being monitored by some mysterious organization. Both anime seem to fall into the Action, Fantasy, and Magic genres. Have a 'normal girl' MC who is forcibly thrown into an alternate dimension/reality. Another MC girl who is already adapted to the situation. And a secret organization trying to get them to accomplish some goal. The two MC quickly form a strong bond and their are slight hints of Yuri. In a time of crisis, the 'normal girl' MC may awaken hidden powers. The focus seems to be on the bond between the two MC and the  read more

Both series are Type-Moon related franchise so expect some of the same characters to pop up here and there. But more importantly, both series are VERY funny for their humor. In fact, both series are portrayed as parodies with no direct/serious plot to the whole. There is a lot of funny dialogues as well as comedy going on. There is also the school life background where even more comedy ensures. Verdict: watch for the humor and entertainment rather than taking either series seriously.

Both Madoka and Fate/kaleid are rather dark magical girl anime that deconstruct the genre. The main character has to face the dangers of actually being a magical girl. Several of the characters between them are also similar.

Both girls are just by chance chosen to be magical girls and they have to fight monsters to save their city and collect magical objects.

At first it looks like it's cute girls doing cute things, but its quite far from that. Both anime have slight hints of yuri and have a large amount of girls. The main lolis are voiced by the same VA. Cards are the source of power. They have to fight monsters with the power of cards. Both have a rather dark atmosphere.

Both are spin-offs from a Visual Novel (Nanoha - Triangle Heart and Illya-Fate) taking a secondary character and making her a Mahou Shoujo. While Nanoha as a franchise is much better still Prisma has many Nanoha references .

Magical girls/boys are forced to find objects (cards in Fate/Kaleid and dance stones in Brave Beats) by allies they meet. Once a specific card/dance stone is collected, the characters can use that power in battle. Brave Beats puts a dance twist on the Mahou shoujo genre and is geared towards kids, while Fate/Kaleid is for an older audience.

Do you like lolis? I like lolis? The adjective/noun known as 'Loli' can be used to define these two anime. Too bad that's all they have in common. The Fate/Kaleid series AT FIRST appears to be a rip off of the critically acclaimed Fate Series and the horror anime known as Madoka Magica. After watching two or three more episodes your realize that you were damn right about the series. On the other hand, Toradora is a romance anime that intimately follows the developing relationship between two unexpected lovers, without all the generic shticks that are seen in the previous anime mentioned. TL;DR Why the  read more

This is a spin off of STN:UBW but its an action, fantansy, etchy with 2 loli's, watch at your own disgression

Both anime involve magical girls who go into different worlds and fight enemies.

Both anime are adorable, light-hearted spin-offs featuring magical girls who use power that they gain from outside sources, like cards. Hina Logi and Prisma Illya both contain lovely transformation scenes, heartwarming moments between friends, silly humor, and magical battles.

Moe, moe, moe. Both anime are filled to the brim with moe and battle girls with surprisingly good animation and art. Girls slap on gear to make themselves full battle-ready and fight enemies that threaten the peace of their worlds. There is also a surprising lack of male characters, though more so in Kantai Collection.

#DankRecs Both has: -A character who initially don't want to do their job -Monster of the week trope -The characters work on team, one of the teammates seems to hate the protagonist at the first time -The hardships of fighting the enemies -Yaoi/Yuri undertones -fanservice

While these shows don't have a lot of in common, there is one important thing they share which is a lot of yuri kisses. Well they are also set in school although Prsma Illya doesn't spend too much time in school, so there is that.

In both shows, young(ish) girls enter an alternate world, transform into magical girls, and fight enemies.

What if Illya was raped by tentacles? Both are semi-parody of magical girl anime, protagonist is forced to wear revealing clothes and go through embarrassment. Illya and Elena share the same flustered personality, and same kind of humor; Elena makes funny comments when she's raped instead of just saying "Oh! No! feels good!".

-Both are light-hearted (when compared to their parent stories) magical girl anime -Both main characters are 10 year old girls with a magical companion -Nanoha Vivid has more sci-fi elements while Prisma Illya is more supernatural

The concept of magical girls are present in both Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya. In both series, the main character's life are suddenly changed after one faithful day and they in turn become a magical girl with gifted powers. With that gift, they must fight to collect certain magical objects with the help of a mentor. The main female character from both series are also somewhat naive but are caring, helpful, and cheerful. They also hope to make friends even with rivals throughout the series. Both series has plenty of humor and drama. However, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's has a more serious  read more

The trend of kids using possessing supernatural abilities is a popular trend going on in the anime industry. For Gakuen Alice and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya, the main female protagonist inhibits special abilities. In essence, they attend a school where meet both friends and rivals. The main female protagonist from both series are considered kind and often willing to help others in need. However, they are a bit naive with some common sense. Regardless, their kindness and generosity earns her many friends even with rivals. There's many humorous dialogues present in both series with drama. Some small hints of romance are also present as well.

The first season of Prisma * Illya is a spin-off to Fate Stay Night with a good story and character development. However you don't really need to watch Stay Night to understand Prisma. The second TV season, 'Prisma 2wei', is where you get lots of Loli and Yuri The third season you get an explosion Loli, Yuri, and Yaoi

Illya is the main character of her very own anime. Similarly to Misaka from Railgun. Both series started from their parent story. Illya from Fate/Stay Night and Misaka from Toaru Majutsu no Index.

The concept of magical girls isn't new to the anime industry. As such, Shugo Chara and Fate/Kaleid brings that idea once again in these two series. Amu Hinamori and Illya's lives are both changed forever after one faithful day when they meet a supernatural being. They form a sort of contract/deal and now must collect/help with certain tasks. Along the way, they also form alliances with other characters while also struggling with adversaries. Through experience though, they become more skilled and in mastery of their new-found abilities. There is romance in both series although less so in Fate/Kaleid. The tone of both series is also  read more

Both anime are literally defined as super popular magical girl anime series. The genres are very similiar. Both series feature a series of consecutive seasons that follow the original.

Both anime are set in alternate universes where the younger character is set to be the main character. Both are magical girls with an older male interest. Both anime have a lot of fanservice (most graphic is School Days).

If you think white haired lolis are the best lolis, you might enjoy these two shows. What's more, they're both borderline ecchi and borderline yuri (even if it gets way more obvious in the next seasons of Fate/Kaleid than it is in Urara Meirochou). The main lolis are facing adventures while socializing with a bucn of supporting lolis and it all produces a lot of moe.

Magical girl shows that target a seinen audience, instead of a shoujo one.

Both are anime setted as alternative, mouhou-shoujo version of the parent anime. While Super Sonico the Animation is only short special, Fate/kalein liner Prisma Illya is tv series
