Ok, so what we have here is an OVA of the parent ONA, so far there
isn't much here and in fact there is no story in it, just a setting where it is summer and the girls went camping somewhere in the forest of Japan. So for the story it is gonna be a "Pathetic" number 1.
Art, Sound, Character: Mediocre 5.
Art is still the same thought the only difference here is the intense fanservice, where we don't only see some bikini fanservice but there are a lot of boob flashes, booty calling and a few panty shots from the girls and also from Ms. Fujiko.......or is that Thompson sensei?, The main character's - the girls are still there and so as their attitude.
Enjoyment: Good 7.
TBH it only the fanservice that's the enjoyable part of this OVA.
Overall: Pathetic 1.
I'd probably say that this OVA should have also been included along with its parent ONA, this nothing more that just them girls bonding out in the woods and a lot of blah, blah and blah. So if anyone of you guys out there just wants some fanservice and don't mind all the short comings then enjoy.
Story: 5/10. Beach episode is so standard, and only usual jokes about guns helpa this story.
Art: 10/10. Sunrise and the night sky are both outstanding. And, of course, we have the art style usual for this series, which I personally like.
Sound: 9/10. Classical music at fanservice swimming scene made me LOL several times.
Character: 9/10. OVA keeps traditions of ONA, so all girls-guns are fantastically cute. ^__^
Enjoyment: 10/10. On can argue about boobs fanservice in this OVA (at that scene characters looks much older than in ONA), but I personally enjoyed this show. It was very logical to do such a pleasure for Upotte fans with
this episode: many of them wanted funny situations with schoolgirls, and here they are! The main thing is that it looks cute, but not vulgar.
Overall: 9/10. In my opinion, Upotte ONA is one of the best in slice-of-life genre, and this OVA is a brilliant end for this great show.
After the main series, the OVA is a bit of a let-down. Nothing particularly new or exciting happens, resulting in just the standard OVA story of talking and watermelon smashing. It's a shame the OVA didn't continue from the ending of the series (and this episode actually adds a few story arcs that aren't resolved either).
The animation is nice - possibly slightly better than the main series, but nothing extraordinary. Title and end credit music is just as boring, so no change there.
If you're a completionist, then you'll have to watch it, otherwise, it's not totally worth the bother - it's too
bland and unexciting.
