Gate Keepers really feels like a spiritual successor to Mob Psycho. Premise - ESP wielding Japanese teens balance their struggle against the supernatural and maturing alongside their peers. Ensemble cast of quirky, distinctive kids with a variety of powers centered around the Protagonist. Protagonist - Shigeo is different from Shun certainly. Shigeo's OP, Shun isn't really. But this ties in nicely in my head-canon, because Shun from Gatekeepers is voiced by Sakurai Takahiro, who also voices Reigen on Mob. If Beet the Vandel Buster is Gate Keepers younger, more adorable brother, Busou Renkin is definitely the cooler, older brother. In terms of style, humor, and visuals, both Busou Renkin and Gate Keepers are very similar, but Busou Renkin just has that extra bit of over-the-top flare that makes it stand out; and the storyline and storytelling are superior. Being the older brother however, Busou Renkin lacks some of the innocent, adventuresome charm that Gate Keeper has about it.

Beet the Vandel Buster feels very much like Gate Keepers kid brother. Beet the Vandel Buster is the PG to Gate Keepers PG-13, so the style of humor is a little different and toned down, but it also has a tighter nit cast, a little more cohesive adventuring story line. The settings are completely different, the plots aren't alike at all, and the style isn't really either (Gate Keepers a little more zany), but the "vibe" feels very similar. A kind of adventuring, feel-good warmth and light hardheartedness that makes it an easy watch.

Both of the main actors use wind powers, just Kaxe no Stigma is more serious while Gate keepers is a more a comedy series
