Strangely enough, neither series is my cup-of-tea, yet having seen both I find myself seeing how fans of one would like the other. The animation style is soft, but also a style possibly not used often anymore. Comedic, with a humor which appeals to a certain type of fan, yet also characters which are soft personality wise. No, I don't mean flat, but personable in a manner which there seems no malice between the two. If anything, both series make for a light-heated watch for anyone in the mood.

Both have cute characters and very simple comedy
report Recommended by DC_Fulano
Soft, personable to some, the series leaves the audience with a warmhearted feeling, but the plots are simple to follow. The one difference between the two is Nichijou leans more towards the crackfic genre than Acchi Kocchi does, as the latter takes a more realistic take.

Non-sense comedy, nice characters and both series are hilarious.

Acchi Kocchi and Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka are slice of life shows that portrays a small yet colorful and character cast. There is no complex plot but instead formulated by a simple story about a group of friends who do activities together. The characters offer a diverse range of personalities with their own gimmicks as well. On top of that, there are animal motifs and symbolism to create a more creative atmosphere. I recommend both series for anyone interested in a show with a charming slice of life favor.

The character Koume is Hime Both shows have a love interest that is oblivious to their advances. Both animes are cute and both of the main characters are kind and wear glasses. The difference being that Hanamaru Youchien is set in a kindergarten and Acchi Kochhi is set in a school

they just have the same same atmosphere and light hearted fun fell about them, while acchi kocchi is better in my opinion i have watched both at least 3 time. both totally worth watching
report Recommended by sk8late
Same kind of relaxing atmosphere and similar kind of comedy. The art also looks alike and the also seem to share some of the voicing cast. Both of them also have a character who is very clueless about the world seems to be very innocent and not to bright either. And they both focus on a group who is very close to each other and they also care very much for everyone in there group.

It has the same nostalgic feeling, loli characters, and cute romantic comedy, in different ways. Yuruyuri is more about 4 girls, it has a bit of shoujo ai, comedy, slice of life and school life. Acchi kochi has those except for the shoujo ai. Kyouko reminds me alot of mayoi from acchi kochi. Both are def recommended.

If you love comedy and some crazy act, then Acchi Kochi will get your taste.
report Recommended by SilentTruth
-Both have an eccentric/odd cast of characters including a quiet girl that likes a guy that takes care of her. -Both have incredible amounts of cuteness. -While Kotoura-san is more feels-y and romance based, Acchi Kocchi is more comedy and friend based.
report Recommended by ecksdeeeXD
They're both quite calming slice of life comedies. A nice cast of fun characters with a charming art style. You could put either of these happily in the background while multi-tasking.

Both Acchi Kocchi and Aharen-san wa Hakarenai are Comedy Romance Slice-of-Life anime. They both take place at a school and have moe characters. Both have a small main character who is in love with a taller main character. Both are known for their cute moments and slapstick humor. The main characters of each anime closely resemble a popular anime character. Acchi Kocchi's Tsumiki looks similar to Konata from Lucky Star, and Aharen-san wa Hakarenai's titular characters looks similar to Chino from Is the Order a Rabbit?.

At their core both are just simple slice of life comedies which I found incredibly heartwarming, relaxing, and fun to watch. Both also had their fair share of very d'aww moments due to the personalities of certain purple haired characters.

Both series are hilarious!! There is no end to the laughing. Both have romance, the main heroine loves a very dense guy. I really recommend those two tv series if you want to enjoy a really nice romance story with a lot of funny moments
report Recommended by oOoAurorAoOo
Love takes on an innocent style. For both Aichi Kocchi and Mikakunin de Shinkoukei, it follows group of friends at school and home as they live life at fullest. Within the centerpiece of their stories involve the concept of love, a concept that becomes complicated through each episode. There is a lighthearted background with humorous dialogues between the characters. They also follow more of a slice of life format as opposed to a linear story.

These two give very similar feeling of warmth and calm along with some innocent laughs. Art styles are alike as well. Both depict daily lives or moderately eccentric people. Acchi Kocchi is about schoolkids, while Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken is about people in their late twenties. Both have non-violent and non-invasive kind of romance, where people care for each other despite sharing misunderstandings, and in both couple's friends are a tad more eccentric than stated couples. Both animes are episodic with loose plot development. AK has full length episodes and Danna's ones only last for 3,5 minutes. If you like the sweetness of one,  read more

-Both contains School Life/ Slice of Life/Romance and is centered around comedy. -Both animes are compiled of short stories, and are full 30 minute episodes.

Soft? Well, Acchi Koochi is definitely a soft slice-of-life Anime in both mood and pacing, while Working is soft in feel, but packs in quite a bit with the characters as nothing about the day to day life is simple. A stark contrast characterization wise, and yet there is something fans of one may enjoy of the other.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
They're both similar due to both of them being in the "comedy" genre. Both are mainly about a group of friends hanging around with each other, except Himouto! Umaru-chan, the main character is more into games, anime and manga while in Acchi Kocchi, the main character is more focus on romance.

Every once in a while.. After having watched a bunch of anime.. You come across a short 12 episode gem of hilarity, that will make you laugh. Both of these anime have done that for me, and hopefully you enjoy them as much as i did.

Acchi Kocchi - Romance = Cuticle Tantei Inaba It's hilarious, you'll love it! :)

In these potently cute chibi portrayals of innocent young love, shoujo romance (Momokuri) and seinen comfort (Acchi Kocchi - Place to Place) converge. These are the Turkish Delight of romance anime, dependably sweet and fun. Ironically, Acchi Kocchi's star pair may appear to fit shoujo stereotypes: a blushing shy girl, and a cool, quiet guy who is adept in many fields and always knows the right thing to say. Meanwhile, Momokuri's girl is obsessed with a short, ordinary boy; it's a purer, healthier form of the entertainment offered by shounen harem shows. The familiar frustration of the indefinitely postponed confession is softened here. Acchi Kocchi's ultra-light  read more

For me, both series has a lighthearted atmosphere with many cute moments. The main female protagonist from both series are also petite and shy with imitations of cat/neko ears during various moments. The moments in both series are also cute and adorable at many occasions. Both series also has inklings of romance and a lot of humor. Both series also takes place in a school life setting~

Usui from Maid-Sama! and Io from Acchi Kocchi have the same VA and are very similar characters, being people who are almost excessively laid-back, good at almost anything, both kind and a tiny bit evil. Both series are romantic comedies with side characters who are rather quirky and at times a bit... off.... and both series feature the characters in chibi form. Also, lots of head-petting.

-both are adapted from a 4-koma manga. -can be considered far better from the original as a matter of adaptation due to the style of animation. 1 short chapter actually manage to be animated in 10 - 20 minutes per episode. -both can be considered part of the SoL/comedy tandem but instead of focusing on comedy, both shows focus more on SoL.

Both are simple anime where there isn't much of story to be told throughout the entire anime. They both have simple sketches in which they add humor in and usually every episode consist of multiple sketches. They both “something” in multiple scenarios. For example, Acchi Kocchi it’s Tsumiki crush on Io, and in Minami-ke it’s Makoto’s cross-dressing. And final (although most don’t consider this to be a reason to watch an anime) both anime have similar openings

The characters are EXACTLY that same. If you find yourself laughing out loud with K-on! then you will most definitely get the same reaction with Acchi Kocchi.
report Recommended by 13grica
(Kind of) slice of life, both have eccentric characters, and a funny everyday life, although Acchi Kocchi is more "normal" and InuxBoku takes place in a unusual mansion.
report Recommended by thrisna
Similar story with a awkward girl, although much more bashful and shy rather than aggressive, trying to garner the attention of her crush. Place to Place or Acchi Kocchi is a simple slice of life with calming elements as well as comedy. one of personal favorites if I'm being honest a hit or miss much like Ueno-san. Thank you for taking time to read this.

They're both actually cute and fluffy shows with romance but with different theme. Acchi Kocchi take place in school while Beelzebub-jou take place in hell

Both are slice of life romantic comedy anime with school setting. Both are full of cute characters and both have similar animation. Basicaly, Sakura Trick = Acchi Kocchi + yuri.

If you want to see Io and Tsumiki in an action MMORPG game about strategizing, here you go. Shiroe (Log Horizon MC) and Io (Acchi Kocchi MC) are both how as everyone says, dense. They have their awkward cute moments but if you're looking for the same genre of anime, for either one, I don't reccommend watching the other. Akatsuki (Log Horizon MC) and Tsumiki (Acchi Kocchi MC) are both awkwardly trying to get their "masters" (as Tsumiki is like a cat) to notice them. They both do act like cats at times and they have their cute and awkward moments. TLDR; Akatsuki and Shiroe from Log  read more

These are soft romances. the spin being where the couples show some sort of discomfort around each other whether it be because they don't realize they like each other or because they happen to have just started dating and it is their first relationship.

I highly recommend both of these anime if you're looking for a slower moving watch. Below I have listed similarities between the two. - Both FL have a crush on ML who is a close friend but completely oblivious to their feelings - Both are romance anime but progress in the relationship is super slow - Both Slice of Life - Both show the lives of not just the FL and ML, but also their friend groups - Both lighthearted anime with characters of different personalities
report Recommended by MsBlueMagic
Among a group of friends, there is a pair of friends where one girl has unvoiced feelings for her friend that her friend is completely unaware of. Acchi Kocchi has Tsumiki and Io (het), and Sasameki Koto has Sumika and Ushio (shoujo-ai).
report Recommended by Numi
Both are lighthearted school shows with romance here and there. Both don't really have any significant plot developments (they have that slice of life/everyday school vibe).

- Cute romance - Wholesome protagonists - Slow burn - Cute art style - Good animation - Endearing show

Both stories feature a shy main girl whose feelings sometimes manifest into cat ears, with a crush on a down-to-earth boy, plus a quirkier friend group around them as they all have fun (and cute bonding moments) in and out of school.
report Recommended by Ammika
Both are very heartwarming slice of life shows, with similar color palette and character designs, while also having some funny moments. There is some light romance in Acchi Kocchi, and Sore ga Seiyuu goes in depth into voice acting.
report Recommended by Kww_121
They're both light-hearted, silly, and filled with copious amounts of tension (wondering when your ship will sail). I definitely recommend both of these shows if you're looking for a funny/mindless anime.

Comedy, mentally abnormal characters.
report Recommended by sow_yiyi
There is this same fluffy romance and comedy theme even if Acchi Kocci might be a little more comedy centred. Also, the setting is school rather than a cafe. They have a similar based on character comedy. Overused gags could remind something like Nichijou?

Funny plot. Both have characters that are definitely not thinking in a normal way no matter in whatever situation. A good comedy for people who wants to enjoy laughing. XD hahahahah!!
report Recommended by sow_yiyi
Both anime have similar artstyle and comedy skits. If in Acchi Kocchi the girl is shy and tsundere so she can't express her feeling properly to the boy she likes, in Onee-chan ga Kita the girl is too clingy and stalker-y in showing her love for her step-brother that her brother thinks of her as a weird sister. Despite that, the girls have similar expressions.

The shows have a similar moeblob art style, mostly focus on slice-of-life cuteness, and have an ever so slight edge to their comedic sensibilities.

+ Both are about high school students doing hilarious things at school and after school. + Both have a girl in love with a boy who has no clue about it at all.

both anime are filled with characters making the most out of their lives and having fun. happy feeling anime. involves some crazy and funny antics. just generally adorable and cute really good after watching more serious anime likable MC's. no abusive female MC's here (thank god)

Both series don't really have a "real" plot. The stories just go with the flow. Both anime involve romance among friends and the hesitation to admit it. They're both comical though Acchi Kocchi is shorter and focuses more on the comedy.

It's hard to exactly say but I found both of these series similar in a few ways. Both series takes place at a school setting that features a strange cast of characters. Both series have a lot of comedy and humor to every episode Both series features a strange main female protagonist who has a strange fascination in the main male protagonist. Both series are lighthearted that also has romance themes Both series follows an episodic like theme where each episode presents a new gag of comedies.
report Recommended by Stark700
Both animes are cute drama-less romance and friendship stories. There are no rivals, humiliation and other problems, popular with shoujo. Both stories are warm and fuzzy and, despite different art style, very cute. Bromance and friendship are important for both plots. Acchi Kocchi revolves around a bigger group of friends, but doesn't peek too deep in their personalities. Ore Monogatari has just 3 leading characters and shows their relationships in more detail. I'd say Acchi Kocchi is 100% for both genders and Ore Monogatari is better suited for girls and guys, who like shoujo specifically.
report Recommended by NeoYojik
Both are rather silly, with an undertone of one-sided romance between childhood friends that may develop into more. Funny female characters that are friends of the main girl, as well as an oblivious girl.

Similar , easy going and funny to the core.

Similar dynamics between the two main characters. Both anime feature a purple-haired shy girl who secretly have a feeling for the guy who always accompany them, try to be closer, and both also have a female friend who tries to matchmake them. These two shows' genre are comedy with romance, but more in cute and fluffy way.
report Recommended by toumei_
The cuteness is strong within this one, because you might find some Chibi and cute facial expressions throughout the run. There are funny moments where characters often do slapstick and having those "Aw" moments. The difference is that Acchi Kocchi, is a romantic comedy that guys have much more screen time. Kanamemo is much more of a yuri show that involves a girl who is working on a job for financial reasons.

Love is in the air, but it will take some time to accomplish it. Set in the school grounds, the main characters are often doing cute things, but filled with laughs and slapstick moments. Though one thing in common about these shows is Love, which means the boys in here take a major role in the story. There are random chibi scenes that make things cute for the characters. The difference is that Acchi Kocchi is set in the school ground areas, A slice of life format, and a love development for the two main characters. Both anime is a slice of life series with focus on friendship tacked with some cute comedy and humour. The designs for character and background are also colourful and have somewhat "fluffy" feeling. The only difference is Acchi Kocchi has a male character on their group, while Kinmoza have only girl character group. If you like anime that mostly focused on cute and relaxing moments, both anime series will not disappoint you.

Both series are romantic comedies, to an extent, that focus purely on couples of one person and one other person: these are not harem series. Revolving around random slice-of-life activities, both series do a great job of combining them with the romantic comedy elements; never making one overpower the other.

Both of them have a cuteness and fluffiness to them that make you smile and feel happy. Both are pretty lax and the female leads are very shy and innocent. Both are centered in a school environment.

Similarities: + Comedy, Romance, Slice of Life, School genres + Adorable female leads who get embarrassed easily when thinking about the guy they like + Group of five friends (2 guys and 3 girls) who hang out and do weird stuff together Differences: - The male leads are very different - Chu2 has drama in addition to the comedy as well as more of an actual story

They have a similar kind of humor and a similar overall style. Acchi Kocchi has more focus on romance and friendship while Denki-gai is a bit more random.

Both include tsundere girl with unaware guy - Acchi Kocchi focuses more on the cute/silly aspects. Great anime to watch after watching Toradora. Both have really bouncy art and cutesy, likeable characters. Only 13 episodes, so it is a short and sweet relief from Toradora.
