Both are animes about music and have harem in it. they are both very similiar. 

Both focus on music while Kiniro no Corda is into instruments and Uta no Prince-sama have musicians. Both also have reverse harem. 

Both female protagonists must learn some form of music (violin and composing) with little or no former experience. The two go through a period of little self-confidence, and have to overcome that with a lot of practice and learning. Some jealousy is directed towards the two. They are surrounded by male students who help them and they befriend. Both happen to be prodigious in their respective music schools and have to compete with other students. The competing musicians and idols are admired by the rest of the student body. Also, these two animes encourage that love of music is enough motivation. 

It's hard for me to not think about either of these series when watching them tbh. Both series features music as a prominent theme throughout each episode with the main female protagonist trying to learn the style and art of it. Both series features a prominent male cast who each specifies in music with different personalities and appearances. They make special bonds with the main female protagonist throughout the series as well. Both series also contain elements of drama, comedy, music, and romance.

It got very romantic because every boys that a girl met feel in love and try to get her love them, have very good music to listening, there a lot of handsome/cute guys in the shows!!!! ^.^ 

Both anime are about music... in both anime it turns around a girl who loves music and is taking music lessons... during the episodes the two girls will meet diferent guys that will fall in love with her but one of them is more important to her <3

The music situation and girl position in harem are similar. Both don't go to detailed into the romance and the music used it pretty good. If you like Primo passo u will 100% prince-sama, if you have watched prince-sama and not Primo passo I think you should still watch it even though it might not be as thrilling as doing it vise-versa. 

They're both alike in its genres = music, romance, comedy. They do have the same story plot that shows how music can change anyone and to strive hard for what we really dream of. 

Both have a reverse harem structure, where the sweet, "natural" girl is surrounded by very talented, very good-looking men. Both focus on music, with Primo Passo featuring more classical music, and Uta Pri featuring pop music. Neither one has a very great plot structure - you won't be surprised by anything that happens, and the obstacles encountered by the protagonists are overcome fairly easily. 

Both are about music. In La Corda, it's more about classical music. I heard a couple of songs that I used to listen when I was younger. It's kind of nostalgic. And in Prince-Sama, it's modern music that you could dance on =P. For me, it was a world to discover of high ranked talent. It made myself wanted to learn more. ^^' 

Both of these are Reverse Harem anime and both take place in a music school, involving music students trying to progress as musicians and many male students are effected by one girls determination and love of music. 

If you liked UtaPri, then you're pretty much guaranteed to like La Corda D'Oro as well. Along with being a reverse harem type anime based off of a video game, it also embraces the musical theme, though in La Corda, it's centered around instrumental music instead of vocals. La Corda also contains a wide selection of handsome guys with unique personality types. I think the heroine in La Corda is a slight bit more interesting as well.

Both UtaPri and Kiniro no Corda are essentially anime based around music appreciation. Kiniro no Corda takes this a little more seriously whereas UtaPri likes to focus more on the comedy, but both really like to delve into how music can be life changing. Also, both mc's begin as novice to music, but through the series begin to grow through their love for it. Both are also an odd sort of reverse harem in that all the pretty bishies fall for your girl, but romance almost never plays a part in the show. Also, both are FANTASTIC

Kiniro No Corda and Uta no Prince-sama both have the harem AND the music aspect. In Kiniro no Corda there's more using instruments while Uta no Prince-sama has instruments and vocals. The messages given through the music are absolutely astounding but I have to say that so far in Uta no Prince-sama the messages in Kiniro no Corda are much more powerful and have larger meaning. As for the harem aspect, in both there are also similar characters such as Azuma Yunoki and Jinguji Ren. Maybe even Ittoki Otoya and Kazuki Hihara. Either way, both are very strong in their music aspects and they have a lot of similiarities. The plots are also very good in my opinion and I reccommend that if you liked either, watch the other.  read more

Ouran is about a host club (obviously) and tends to be more silly, and UtaPri is about singing and is more serious most of the time, but other than that they are pretty similar.

They are both reverse harem series with 'flashy' characters and plenty of humor (as well as a school setting). There are also a few voice actors shared between the two series. 

"Sen percen' love" Also a reverse harem. This anime is pretty typical. Selective music school is the base.The main protagonist isn't simply an obstinate (or clueless) love interest to allow the audience to oggle bishies And the bishies aren't the exact same looking someone's definition of a perfect guy. She's the lyricist and they're the performers. even if you don't watch the anime Watch the opening theme song. 'cause it is freaking epic! 

It's like Ouran with singing, really. They both have similar character types, and the episodes are set up in the same way. The fun and lovability that characterize Ouran are evident in Prince Sama too. But don't label Uta no Prince Sama as an Ouran Ripoff, it really is much different, but with the same feel. If you cried at the end of Ouran, You'll cry at the end of Prince Sama, I can guarantee that. 

Ouran and Utapri both have somewhat harems. Though one is for singing and the other is for entertaining young girls, I would say they are marvelously close. They are both RomComs. 

They're both reverse harems set in high school with 6 boys. There's noticeable bits of comedy and drama in both. There are also a lot of ridiculous moments that will make you smile in both shows.  

Both series are reverse Harems that focus on the friendship between the main female lead and the boys surrounding her, thus, when Haruhi/Haruka spends time with each different guy we don't get the feeling that she is being unfaithful to the others. 

Special school, check! Reverse harem, check! Cute female protagonist who is different compared to the other students, check! Crossdressing, check! Fanservice, check! (For straight girls though, or gay boys. Sorry!) UtaPri and Ouran are really alike, though, UtaPri is more serious at the times as Ouran tends to make you laugh every second. But hey, instead of rich brats fooling around all the time, UtaPri has boys cute bishou-boys singing and that can't be that bad, aye? And those boys like in Ouran, they WILL make you fall for them. And Haruka, UtaPri's main character, like Haruhi, is anything but a Mary Sue. (See, even the names are alike. I s2g)p If you liked UtaPri, you probably like Ouran and if you like Ouran, well, I hope you do like UtaPri. They're both hella funny and worth watching. read more 

Both of these shows have a cute female main surround by 6 dashing guys in a school setting. The two present some great, laugh out loud comedy, but UtaPri also develops some more meaningful moments. Each show takes many of the shoujo cliches and plays off them, creating some over-the-top scenarios that you can't help but enjoy. Differences? I found Haruhi (from Ouran) to be a deeper character with much more spunk and personality. Haruka (from UtaPri) is shy and likes to please others (but she sure has some cute outfits!). Most importantly, in both shows you'd be hard pressed to choose one of these bishies over the others... you really get to love them all! BONUS: UtaPri had me totally fangirling over the music. I didn't go into the show expecting much from the music, but I ended up loving nearly every song! read more

Both have mindbogglingly weak protagonists. Enjoy. Okay~ in all seriousness, the reverse-harem thing. Also, the protagonists kinda have the same look. I think the red hair and yellowy-green eyes automatically means weak protagonists in anime (Arcana Famiglia). It's a trend!

Both are Shojo, and the protagonist is a girl surrounded by five guys. Difference with (Utapri) that it is a musical school where the girl writes the songs and the boys sing in a debut, While in (Amnesia) the girl loses memory and apparently will get help from the five guys to recover his memories. My first recommendation I hope you enjoy it!

They are both are about a group of boys that are in love with the heroine. Both anime allows the viewer to "choose" which character is the best to stay with the heroine. The heroine is a simple character that allows the viewers to feel that that they are the heroine. 

Both about a practically emotionless girl and a bunch of guys falling for her. 

Both are reverse harem shows. They have a bunch of guys and one heroine. In Kamigami it is gods and in Uta no prince sama it is singers. Both have funny moments. 

School setting, bright colours, fluffy romance, cute boys, similar comedy/silly antics, one girl changing the boys' lives, and lastly, same game company. You can also relate the characters together as well because they share similar tropes. Ittoki/Apollon, Balder/Cecil, Tsukito/Masato, Takeru/Syo just as an example. =P 

Reverse harems in the setting of a school that's not ordinary.  

Well, both have the harem aspect of the show. The male characters of each harem really resemble the other. I just recently began Uta No Prince-sama and as soon as I saw each character I knew that each character resembled the other. Such as Jinguji Ren and Balder Hringhorni for instance. Or maybe even Ittoki Otoya and Apollon Agana Belea. Also, in Uta no Prince-sama there's some singing action going on there, now in Kamigami no Asobi, there's also singing from each character but only in the opening and the closing of each episode. Both plots are quite amazing and I seriously do recommend one or the other if you liked either of these amazing shows.  read more 

First of all, they are both reverse harems. The MC in both series is adorable and makes her own choices. They are both really lively and fun to watch. It is just nice to watch them if you need a boost of happiness!

Out of the all new Idol anime, B-Project bears the most resemblance to UtaPri including the focus on each of the characters, the slight trouble of being a big idol group, quarrels, joint projects, festivals, drama and the overall graphics and sound quality, maybe perhaps some of the personalities too. 

Out of all series, I highly doubt you will find something as similar to UtaPri as B-Project. I mean, B-pro's character designer, drew the UtaPri manga and they share some voice actors. Then... Why isn't it the no.1 recommendation? Well, B-project is fairly new. And I hope by the time you're reading this recommendation, it's already the most recommended series. Okay. So B-Pro and UtaPri are pretty much the same, but at the same time they aren't. Let's say these stories share a same core. Imagine both of them are the same type of cake, but with different toppings. So the main similarity is that both series are about male idols, with a female main character as main. She sort of manages the groups in her own way and it's up for debate whether she's likable or not. That's the cake. The topping is the way the characters are introduced, portrayed and how the story is filled. Every episode will focus on one specific character. However, whereas UtaPri takes a slower approach to introduce the characters, B-Pro just sort of slams all of them in your face during the first minutes of episode one. UtaPri also seems to have more of a 'main storyline' as we have Nanami's school life and her love Hayate. B-Pro is more slice-of-life orientated and takes an easier approach on that. Both series take a lot of mainstream 'reverse harem' tropes, putting down a cast with very stereotypical characters. I don't know if it's because, back when I watched UtaPri, I saw a smaller amount of shows, or if it's something other people can agree on too, but the characters felt less predictable. In B-Pro's case, their actions, personalities and conversations sometimes even gave me this 'Dèja-vu' feeling. The amount of romance in UtaPri is significantly higher, too. And better paced. And there wasn't usage of (sorry to use this word) shitty CG (at least in the first seasons). Then again, B-Pro seems to focus more on the aspect of being an idol (f.e. showing how a song gets recorded, the characters doing their first live, recording a commercial, ...). Even though I think UtaPri is generally more likable, I think you should definitly give B-pro a shot if you're looking for something similar. I've seen that La Corda D'oro is currently the number one recommendation for UtaPri and honestly, I think it should be B-Pro. So. Long things short: - Male Idols - Same mangaka (at least, B-Pro's character designer, Utako Yukihiro, drew the UtaPri manga. The character designs from UtaPri are by Kurahana Chinatsu) - Similar music style - Beautiful art - Catchy songs - Great voice cast - Also some voice actors in common: Ono Daisuke (Kira and Kitakado), Morikubo Showtaro (Reiji and Hikaru, also note how they have a similar personality too) and Toriumi Kousuke (Cecil and Sakutaro). - Characters that give off a similar vibe? Whether it's Ai and Aizome's similar name and design, Ranmaru and Goushi's similar view on things, Hikaru and Reiji who, as I said, share a voice actor and personality or just a common name like Mikado. read more 

Both shows are about male idol groups and a not very intelligent dense girl that's good with music. Both girls help their idol groups reach more potential while they all have some romantic scenes so that the girl can get to know the idols individually. Both shows give off a similar vibe in terms of music, atmosphere, heroines and the variety of guys all with different qualities and personalities.  

Both tell the stories of male idol groups working their way up to popularity!

Both series are reverse harem: many cool boys who casually and inevitably fall in love for the same girl. As well both anime have been realized after their game, still both share the same school life genre and have a great art. Both are recommended! ♥

Both have reverse harem as theme and in both most of the boys have something they're troubled by, like their past for example and the heroine is always there to cheer them up. 

UtaPri was an interesting anime. If you like reverse harem i suggest you watch both. Starry Sky was cute and since all of the guys in both had a different personality to choose from, i'm sure you'll find a character you like 

1. All the guys are hot in both 2. The main girl character is a little shy and cute 3. Each episode focuses on one guy (doesn't necessarily have a story arc but nevertheless interesting) 4. Colours are really beautiful - well animated. Music is well done.

I am surprised that nobody has recommended this anime has a fantastic sub for Prince Sama, bc Magic Kyun practically the 2017 version of the latter. And with lesser tropes+stunning visuals. I felt like I was watching the same show, they're both based off an otome game and have those weird artsy fartsy scenes where the protagonist flies around in the sky while music plays

Skip Beat and Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% are very similar in that they share the same type of alluring call to those who are trying to make it big. Although I'd say that the artwork in Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% is much better than Skip Beat, I enjoyed Skip Beat's plot much more (Although be warned that it doesn't really have much of an ending)

Both anime involve a group of boys trying their hardest to be at the top. Both anime involve singing and dancing. both anime try to tell a story of different boys trying to achaive something, the only difference is that utapri have a girl in it which helps the boys to achieve the top while starmyu doesn't. So if you liked starmyu you will definitely like utapri because they are really similar in ways like the character development with each other, the songs they sing, the main story line which is to reach the top.  

They are musical, have bishounen (pretty boys[w/ the big eyes an' all]), dancing, singing, great music. There is something they overcome etc. ENJOY ;) 

Both females are similar in which they are hard-working at achieving their goals, well-mannered and likeable. Oh and that they are surrounded by men in which they show harboring feelings (some more than others). Both ladies have more introverted or passive qualities as well. Uta Pri - plot is influenced by music and fame Brothers Conflict - focuses more on family relations and fits into the slice-of-life category 

Very similar character tropes. Overall story is similar too: Girl picks between 6 idols vs girl picks between 13 brothers. Mutual VAs: Kaname/Ren, Tsubaki/Masato, Azusa/Cecil. If you enjoy one, you will enjoy the other. 

Very similar reverse harem setup with awesome guys you wish were real! If you liked Uta no Prince sama, you'll like Brothers Conflict!

Both seem very similar at the surface, with 7-8 color-coded idol boys working their way to the top, with both main groups having a well respected rival in the industry with bandmates who don't (at least at first) get along If you liked utapri, you will like idolish7. It has similar characters but gives them a lot more depth and has more engaging plotlines. If you liked idolish7, you may like utapri, especially if the main draw for you is bishounen idols and good music

Yeah, well for me, they're a close tie. They both have singing. Both have some slight connection to Yaoi. Each character has their own uniqueness. The only difference for me is the new student that goes in their school are in opposite genders. In Marginal Prince, the new student is a guy and in UtaPri, the new student is a girl. There's a lot of singing. ALOT. :))

The similarity between these 2 anime is very clear and apparent: You can replicate any of the songs sung in both of these series simply by eating a taco, holding the microphone to your backside and letting loose a powerful blast from your, "musical", ass.

Just take both anime and change the gender of the characters. They are both music related, and have to do particularly with characters pursuing their dreams. Additionally, they go to school to become future idols. Essentially, if you like Aikatsu!, you just might come across liking Uta no Prince-sama.

Both are reverse harem with a really pretty art style. Hakuouki is about a historical group of samurai while Uta no Prince-sama is about coming idols in a high-end music school, so they are different in setup but both are really enjoyable in their own ways!

Both of these anime have great songs, dancing, stardom struggles, and an abundance of one gender. Uta Pri is a more light-hearted story, not as deep as AKB, but I think that they are both enjoyable in their own ways.
