Interest StacksAvoided a bit of the really obvious ones (The Big 3 and Death Note) and some that were really similar to something already present on this list. Also, enjoy your life a bit more by watching these gems. Japan has waged countless wars within its territories and beyond her shores for thousands of years now, and in anime we can see some of the perspectives, interpretations and depictions the Japanese people have developed with regards to this topic. self-explanatory title; those anime have a character that plays one or more musical instruments in a leading role. which means that idol/singer anime aren't included. These are the best works anime can offer. This is a list of awesome anime for awesome people that understand how awesome anime is and want to get better at seeing what is actually good. Not everything in the list is a masterpiece (most are) but everything is essential to understanding anime as a medium for drama.
