The biggest similarity of these shows is the same theme, the money. Also there are few miniature similarities in the story as well.

A great story, characters, and a very nice ending. It's also about a guy who fights in "another world".

They're both about economics and have light furry motifs, though that second part shouldn't put you off.

Well...if you like one, then you'd like the other. Both animes gave the same feeling. Storywise, C is better; but if it's some wicked music you want, then Guilty Crown. Art style is sort of similar, even the main characters look alike. Boy leading his normal life unwillingly gets sucked into something...BIG but he still goes through with it because it could save his country.

So after letting the show continue for a couple more episodes past the pilot episode i would have to say that these shows are similar. While both animes deal with granting the master desires each anime deals with a different desire. In Selector Infected the show deals with winning battles to grant ones wish. While in C it deals with winning battles to gain money. Along with the chances of getting your desire granted both animes have consequences if you lose to many times. In both the animes it seems that the consequences both have a similar effect. Also, in both animes they have an "avatar" that  read more

Anime both goes into the digital world where they have to pursue to survive however in c instead of losing money and your future you lose your life.

The main character(s) of both anime go to an alternate world because their lives weren't so great in the real world. They also gamble something very precious to them with each battle they participate in.

Both of the main protagonists are living a normal life in the early part of the series. They were offered something life changing that comes with a great cost.

In both there exists a different world where people fight each other. In this separate world there exists an "avatar" of a person in our world. In C it's the person's "Asset" which reflects one of the person's possible futures. In BRS it's an another person (resembling the real world version) which reflects the feelings of the person in the real world. In C their fights happen consciously and they affect the real world while in BRS it's vice versa, they fight unconsciously and the real world actions affect the fighting in the other world. The main characters are somewhat similar personality-wise. They both don't  read more

Assets are like Servants and the people in the Financial district (Entre's) are like Masters. Both anime's have people who has servants/assets who fight for them and are summoned when needed to. Similarly both have the main character showing compassion and care towards their servant/asset and trying to help them in fights/duels.

Outstanding art-style! Nakamura Kenji as director and Iwasaki Taku as OST-composer. Similar genre type. Both possess at the same time an "eye-candy" animation and interesting story, something very rare in now-days anime productions!

Very similar protagonists are forced into a situation that they know very little about yet happens to have ties to their past. Additionally, the plots both have the same pacing and fights work the same way with a cost applied to the loser.

They're both about money, but more importantly, they both have amazing narrator/announcers.

Mix of the reality with other world. Summer Wars is a way more real but has the same element of having an avatar and fighting with its help.

Although these series are quite different in their mood and idea, they share the following two things: (1) Protagonists in both series get in a mysterious parallel world and fight there using powerful "familiars" (actually, they're not usual familiars, but explaining them would be a spoiler, so let's leave it at that). The reasons for fighting and effect of the battle outcome are really different, but the process is pretty much the same: the familiars combat under their owners command invoking different technics and weapons, and that makes a really nice and impressive action. (2) There is a mystery that protagonists are trying to figure out in  read more

Both revolve around the power and consequences of money.

These two animes involve two parralel worlds and both are pretty realistics.

Same vibes where the main characters are very similar. Although the premise of [C] might be dark, it's actually full of hope just like Pokemon. The main character Yoga is like Ash in a lot of ways. He also has a pokemon, in which it is termed as an "asset" in the world of [C]. Msyu is the said asset, who acts just like the pokemon Pikachu. Pikachu though the cuddly and cute-looking one, is actually the one who has a deeper and more human-like personalities than the humanoid Msyu. Both are very DEEP.

*C: The Money of soul and possibility control uses Money (Midas money) and Assets to save the world *Devil Survivor 2 uses demons to save the world Boy protagonists meets a guy trying to change and save the world even if it means to sacrifice. Both series are survival

The two go well in-depth into how an economy works and both feature two pairs of main characters who, at first didn't have very good chemistry, end up becoming very close towards the end. Themes of money and power control are also constantly present in both, though the two have drastically different settings.

You saw Lelouch's attempt at rescuing Japan from the clutches of Britannia. Now we're on a mission to rescue Japan from financial collapse! Just like in Code Geass, the two main characters in "C" start out as friends, however they soon become enemies. Both of the main characters are trying to save Japan, but their different methods conflict with each other.

In both anime, the characters fight with or using their partners. The MC and his partner has this some sort of Romantic relationship although with C, it isn't revealed in "Ecchi" means.
report Recommended by Hanzor
The only similarity between these two anime is the mature storyline that is aimed at audiences. On top of that, they are not that commercially based e.g. cute character, love etc. They deal with things that could happen in real life for example, the economy, murder, psychology and so on

Both have: - a male main character who is forced to fight to survive - a male and a female main characters who eventually fall in love - aprox. de same number of episodes with the same open ending.

Both are involved in a fantasy world with corruption

They both involve having powers and using them to fight. C Control has more of a "concrete" story than Hamatora. They both use that crazy art style at one time or another as well.
report Recommended by ZachM
We can appreciate these similarities: - People who are chosen from millions, have the opportunity of their lives. But to enjoy that opportunity you must earn points, even if that means ending someone else's life. - A survival game, where they put the future of the person in play, which have a power that can be beneficial for others and for itself. - We can also appreciate the lives of the people who participate, who needed this power, to help themselves with their lives.

both have: -good visuals -duo male master/slave-waifu with predictable romance -cold slave-waifu whith superpowers who fight againt other salve-waifu and their master -shallow world building centered around one particularity (money, music) but underused -same style of fights with little explanations

I recommend C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control, or more commonly known as C Control, because it uses a similar power system to fate, in which the characters use assets (similar to servants) to fight for them. It also has a good balance of action and story/character development.
report Recommended by Coccaa
The premise of both shows is nearly identical. A random average kid is forced to play a death game. That game turns out to have real world repurcussions. No real point to either show, no overarching character goals or anything - just cool fight scenes

Deals with money and the concept of capitalistic behaviors with mysterious characters interacting with the protagonist

1. They both involve life or death competitions 2. Very strategic and thrilling Dissimilarities: 1. C involves competition for money where the loser gives it to the winner, Dorei-ku is to control the loser's life and own them as a person in general. 2. C is more fictional as they go to a completely different world pretty much to do these competitions, whereas Dorei-ku is in the real world, where they fight for their rights to remain a "human" rather than become a slave to the winner

They both involve gambling. C is more philosophical, Kakegurui is more oriented on the gaming strategy aspect. Kakegurui is lighter, if you will.

Blue Exorcist and [C] are not similar in many ways. However, where they are similar is astonishing, and quite amusing. Both animes have two worlds parallel to each other. And both parallel worlds "invade" "reality." For [C], the money invades, but for Blue Exorcist, the demons are the ones that invade. Both animes have fun fight scenes. And the fight scenes are mostly about the main character. However, I felt that [C] focused more on other characters, unlike Blue Exorcist, which was all about Rin. The main characters Okumura Rin (Blue Exorcist) and Yoga Kimimaro ([C]) are not alike in any respect, besides being the main  read more

- You can learn a lot about these animes, the two are not limited to make big money orders they want, if not explained in the Classroom If a company's dealings C:TMSP and economic theory. - Romance is slight and slow, but take time but you can see a romance that fits well with the main story. - The drama, how you feel, how mistreated they are the main characters.
report Recommended by Woodynho
The main characters have the same feel; in [C], Kimimaro and Mashu are in a trust relationship that also seems like a one sided master pet relationship; in [K], Neko and Shiro also have the same relationship. Additionally, both animes contain a fine line of fantasy, and the fighting style is similar [although in C they use assets, and in K they use swords or other magic] Minaki also highly reminds me of Mikoto Suoh from K.
report Recommended by Paperbands
Both shows have settings that would typically involve action-oriented scenes instead of the dialogue- and story-heavy shows they are, though both also involve plenty of action in their final episodes.

Older teen is forced to frequently fight in a separate dimension under the control of an otherworldy creature. Gantz is darker/more mature and about survival ... while C while remaining a serious show is less dramatic/dark and is all about money.
report Recommended by NurseJoy904
With less childish art, another world for battles, battles which involve the movement of money with great action scenes and a more mature plot, C provides much more food for thought for the average viewer and would probably be enjoyable to most who enjoy this series although the reverse may not hold true.
report Recommended by YowaiHito
Both of them have special cards and have relation with money. The two of them fight in money battles, money games or money univers.

Another standard genre that contains a surprising amount of purpose and seriousness.

Young male main characters fighting to be strong and get to the top. Maybe not so strong at first but you can see great power underneath. The story of their battles and struggles.
report Recommended by Ajrusse1994
Small actions result in large results. In Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei, the protagonist explores the different paths he may take while in college, which in each one results in his demise. In C, the protagonist ventures in the world of the 'Financial District.' In that world, those who lost 'money' or go bankrupt would suffer in the real world. Both series share the common idea of earning an opportunity that could either make or break you.
report Recommended by arigajoe
The shows are very different and are geared towards different audiences, but they both use an English Computerized voice when they use their powers. The computerized voice sounds almost exactly the same.

C's bank world has the same feeling to Bakemonogatari they have similar amounts of love (dont really know how to put it) both like to cut around alot, you understand if you seen one both (C's bank world, not real world) use like odd colors and colors that have... ...emphasis compared to the surrounding both have weird creatures that are connected to certain humans
report Recommended by that_dude650
Instead of remembering about yourself the main character is trying to remember about his dads past, also both have some type of spirit which helps them on there journey, another thing the genre makes it much alike and the settings and art style is very similar difference C is about money and is more fantasy Amnesia is just about forgetting and trying to remember who she was

They both have the protagonist entering a game that turns out to be more than what they bargained for. They both control avatars that fight their battles with unique personalities and those avatars both have a mysterious relationship to the human world. In both stories there are also real world consequences for winning and/or losing the game that have to do with wishes and or desires being realized or dashed.
report Recommended by Dreameress
This is similar in a sense, but instead of using test scores to fight, you use money to fight.

About life, thinking and being self concious, and about hesitating. A little bit sad but very reflexive.
report Recommended by Eriis
Both are stories dealing with changes in time flow and main characters who notice the changes and their [mostly negative] effects. C has more of an internal, personal conflict, while Steins;Gate's conflict is more external.
report Recommended by jigglyppuff8
Both are about a main protagonist who is a normal boy at first but then he later is involved in a strange chain of events that seem to connect and affect all the people around him. While DRRR was supernatural tones, C has fantasy.
report Recommended by Orulyon
Besides the fact that these series mostly revolve around the use of drawing their powers from card(s), there are some serious tones throughout the plot. The duels of both of these series determine the player's of the big outlook of Survival of the Fittest. Losing a duel could be least costly of dropping reputation to costing lives.
