Carnival Phantasm is the comedic parody of previous Type-Moon works that circle in 1 universe with the same character with far more different personality as the original and with different kind of art style. If you’re looking for serious Type-Moon works you are better off not choosing this anime but if you’re a type-moon fan looking for some cute fan service of your favorite characters you should not miss out this anime.

Type-Moon at its best over the recent 10 years, and Carnival Phantasm came to give fans the spin-off of their fandom (that is, at least, before Prisma Illya came up). This show is devoted only to Type-Moon fans (Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night at least) or if you're a fan of any of these two episodes, you're good to go.
Let me just be clear though, as much as I know a lot about Type-Moon, all these are secondhand information coming from an otaku friend I had (or "have", well I prefer had) back in 2007-2008. Back in those years and I got my first exposure of Type-Moon's ... Jul 27, 2019

I must admit a nifty secret; I only watched the fate-part of this short OVA, as I don't know the other anime. And it was super funny and enjoyable, wohoo! So, job accomplished I guess. :D There's no real story, it's just a bunch of loose sketches with the fate characters interacting. It's no slice of life either like Shirou's cooking show - just crazy scenarios and a bunch of jokes. There's nothing special about the art and that's fine. The soundtrack is catchy and that's neat.
