The daughters of Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time!

In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi's brother, Souta, and his family.

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa's shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.

Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

The sequel no one asked for but we deserved it in these tiring times. I've only watched four episodes at the time I'm writing the review. The vibe is pretty much like Kanketsu Hen. The sounds and opening and ending are pretty damn good and nostalgic. Towa looks like a classic tomboy who is pretty confident in herself. Setsuna is so damn cool, calm and collected. Moroha is a girl version of Inuyasha and her personality is similar to him as well with added cuteness of Kagome. Finally, Sesshomaru defeated Inuyasha in making babies at least. Honestly, the plot is pretty good too. The fact read more

This review may have spoilers.

Again, the nostalgia.

I mean, I love InuYasha but the story ended back in 2010 isn't it? Now it feels so stretched with all the same characters but grown ups and their childs; and now there're 3 pearls intstead of one, there's a lighting sword like Star Wars, and of course, there's a tree that replaces the time-traveling well. Oh! And it has also the same OST.

I also love Rumiko's work, but Yashahime seems nothing new and exciting like the first time I saw InuYasha. Back then, InuYasha was really a sensation and broke many expectations of shonen read more

There's 7 episodes out now of Yashahime, the nostalgia driven sequel to Inuyasha. At first, I thought it was turning out better than a sequel of this type had any right to be. The new protagonists, are quite likable, and Moraha in particular, will surely be a fan favorite. And they really made this show an ode to the original. Same voice actors, same style eye catches, same music, same spoilerific previews. Though twenty years have past since Inuyasha's debut, Yashahime feels just the same, as if no time had passed since the Final Act's last episode. But then... as the show started getting into read more

The anime just started, so we don't know exactly where all this is going, but so far so good. It's not the same protagonists, but rather they have quite some influence on the characters and the plot which imbues a feeling of gentle nostalgia you would get looking at your grandkids.

I absolutely LOVE the three girls. They are so precious. In my opinion, they don't have the EXACT same personalities as their fathers. More of, they share some qualities.

It's gonna be similar to its prequel in most ways, though. The trio is gonna fight monsters in every episode, which will lead to the grander plot, read more
