Synopsis

Sshhh! Princess Syalis is trying to get a good night's sleep. Some shut-eye. Forty winks. Catch some Z's. Long ago in olden times when people and demons lived together in—well, disharmony, really—a demon king kidnaps a human princess and imprisons her in his castle. Bereft, the princess's subjects beat their chests in anguish...until a hero arises to spearhead Project Rescue Our Princess! While waiting for her knight in shining armor, what's an imprisoned princess to do...? Teddy-bear guards with bat wings are all very well, but her dungeon cell is bo-o-o-ring! So, she decides to wile away the long hours by sleeping. Now if only she could get comfortable...and didn't suffer from insomnia...

It's a wholesome and fun slice of life comedy show with a unique concept and unique main character girl. She's not the usual cute girl you see in every show with a girl MC. She has this certain smug look or strict looking eyes that makes the demons have some interesting reaction every time they see her. It's really fun. You have to take note that this show is repetitive, a hit or miss for some people. This show is like a game. The MC's goal is to sleep comfortably by acquiring some required items to build something related to sleeping like a bed, cover, read more

There is a lot of care and charm when it comes to this show. You wouldn't think such a simple concept would come off so well as it does here. For now at least, it's doing well, but there is the issue that it will become repetitive. But it has been a great watch so far, and here is why!

The story is pretty simple, princess is captured and kidnapped and taken into a demon castle to be held prisoner, and for a hero to go on a journey to save her. But all of that basically goes out the window, as we're here to watch read more

For a show that I have been looking forward to just by reading the summary before airing and was pleasantly satisfied with after watching, I give a rare rating of 10, 2 points higher than an 8, a number I customarily give out in my reviews like handing out flyers.

In this anime, there are two main disappointments, fortunately over-compromised by positive factors, that may be a hindrance to your indulgence of this show or not be so depending on what they are.

The first disappointment is the obligation you feel to accept a humour that you feel a slight restraint towards. Your thoughts sometimes run read more

I honestly did not expect anything from this anime and that is exactly why I loved this show so much.

Story 7/10: The plot, wow. A princess that just wants to sleep peacefully and doesn't care about her other responsibilities, it's just hilarious how she tries different methods just for a good night's sleep.

Art 7/10: Cute, colorful and eye catching but it also fits the dark theme of the Demon Lord. The balance between wholesomeness and darkness was somewhat good.

Sound 7/10: I liked the opening and ending themes, kind of catchy and would listen to it while walking around the streets.

Character 8/10: I loved the characters, read more
