Hataraku Saibou (Cells at Work!)

Inside the human body, roughly 37.2 trillion cells work energetically 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Fresh out of training, the cheerful and somewhat airheaded Sekkekkyuu AE3803 is ready to take on the ever-so-important task of transporting oxygen. As usual, Hakkekkyuu U-1146 is hard at work patrolling and eliminating foreign bacteria seeking to make the body their new lair. Elsewhere, little platelets are lining up for a new construction project.

Dealing with wounds and allergies, getting lost on the way to the lungs, and bickering with similar cell types, the daily lives of cells are always hectic as they work together to keep the body healthy!

It's actually a very unexpected anime for me. At first I thought it would be very boring and typical. The same characters, the same situations. But I was wrong. The functioning of our body cells, viruses and bacteria and the battles between them made this anime a good show to watch and relax. Sometimes you even forget that all the events are happening in someone's body that can actually be very vulnerable. This was a great and educational anime to watch, im gonna go give a 8.49 ratings for the anime.

A unique anime, packing an ordinary story with science as its attraction. It's an original concept and that's why I love it. The story offered basically only adapts to the theme brought by this anime which is a story about red blood cells. The illustrations and analogies of the characters depicted as cells in our bodies are really well executed and provide useful knowledge to the audience so that they are not only entertained but also educated. Although it is true for story lovers, this anime ... looks more like a learning video because the story is not so weighty and too objective. Because this anime does feel as an education related to cells in the body that is animated and illustrated. The characterizations of the cell figures in this body can be said to be well executed because as a spectator I really enjoy the behavior of the characters. The characterization given feels as if it is a lesson related to how the true nature of the cells in our body whose emotions described by the characters seem to represent the attitude of the cells in our body.

Speaking of character design, it's not so flashy or attention-grabbing in my eyes. At least again what can be appreciated is how they can provide designs that represent the characteristics of the cells in our bodies. Regarding the background design of the place and atmosphere, it feels quite well executed, depicting the atmosphere inside a person's body quite well and interestingly. In terms of audio, the theme song given both in the opening and closing is really a song with the theme of struggle through adversity even though the genre is different. The placement in the opening and closing in my opinion is very appropriate and a plus in itself. In terms of audio effects and voice casting, it feels like there's nothing to comment on, which means the execution isn't too special or flashy, either in a good or bad sense.

In the end, this anime will be perfect for students who are studying biology or medical science specifically. Because this anime seems to focus more on education than entertainment. For general viewers who want to dedicate full time to watching should not be too hopeful, because I personally also feel that it is a bit difficult to find excitement when watching this anime. I could have stopped watching it at any time, but somehow I managed to finish the first season. But despite all that, this anime is still a good anime and hopefully those of you who want to try to watch it can enjoy it and gain valuable knowledge.

This show first attracted me because I thought it looked novel, and it was. For the first four episodes. After that I was really bored with this show. I couldn't sit through the show as the story repeated over and over with no effective change. The stories follow a certain format.
