Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?

Putting his life on the line, Willem Kmetsch leaves his loved ones behind and sets out to battle a mysterious monster, and even though he is victorious, he is rendered frozen in ice. It is during his icy slumber that terrifying creatures known as "Beasts" emerge on the Earth's surface and threaten humanity's existence. Willem awakens 500 years later, only to find himself the sole survivor of his race as mankind is wiped out.

Together with the other surviving races, Willem takes refuge on the floating islands in the sky, living in fear of the Beasts below. He lives a life of loneliness and only does odd jobs to get by. One day, he is tasked with being a weapon storehouse caretaker. Thinking nothing of it, Willem accepts, but he soon realizes that these weapons are actually a group of young Leprechauns. Though they bear every resemblance to humans, they have no regard for their own lives, identifying themselves as mere weapons of war. Among them is Chtholly Nota Seniorious, who is more than willing to sacrifice herself if it means defeating the Beasts and ensuring peace.

Willem becomes something of a father figure for the young Leprechauns, watching over them fondly and supporting them in any way he can. He, who once fought so bravely on the frontlines, can now only hope that the ones being sent to battle return safely from the monsters that destroyed his kind.

WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Will you save us? Are you busy? Will you save us?
This is one of those Anima you say "This could be a Cool Over Powered anime OR maybe a funny Harem anime, It is but not in the typical sens, it is better. All the elements are there, but put in a different layered set up and hits a lot harder. You start to watch not really knowing what it is and what to expect, and then you get hooked, not for the action, (it is there and build the story but action ... becomes seconded to the story, through the series.) but for it's thoughts, the feeling it brings, the emotionens, and fantastic Sound track perfectly matched to the scenes and story (especially in the later episodes.(English Version)), and the realisations of what is being (and sometimes not) said, and the implications it has. The rellaysion of what all the fighting is for.

If you think "oh no I don't like these feeling anima" just go watch it anyway and I think, it will get you onboard. And if you spread it out a little, so so you don't miss out on the small details, it is even better.

Friendly warning. If you easily tear up, then better bring the lots of tissues.


This one got me...it got me good.

Mixed Feelings

I probably wouldn't have watched this if I knew it was 90% focused on romance, but I did anyway since I didn't know that going in. It's... not bad, I guess? There are lots of interesting and redeeming features of this show, but for some reason it doesn't quite come together as a satisfying package.

Fresh off completing the show I'm left feeling that the main story, the main characters, and the world building are all quite solid; the animation is good enough. At the same time I'm feeling that a lot of the biggest questions about the world they built are left unresolved, and that ... an awful lot of the show's run time was people sitting around talking, and there was a lot of "tell me" where "show me" would have been better.

In theory there's an untold prequel or sequel story, or both, that could be better than the main story that was told. The thing I'm left wanting to know more about are not the characters but the world they built and its history. They opened up a big can of worms but only put a few on the hook.

In the end, I don't feel like I watched a bad show, but I could have watched a better one.

Title: What do you do at the end of the world? Apparently… nothing useful.

Score: 3/10
Tags: Tragic, Mid, Hollow, Should’ve Stayed a Novel

This anime… is not a good execution.
It opens with potential—melancholy atmosphere, a mysterious world, and a tragic setup.
But somewhere between the “pacing like molasses” and “sad orphan girl weapon #37,” I realized something:

This anime exists to sell you light novels. That’s the biggest L.
...
❌ The Problems:
Willem, our protagonist, doesn’t actually do much.
No fights. No real agency. Just guilt, mop duty, and sad staring.

Way too much screen time is given to fairy orphan girls.
They’re cute, tragic, and painfully disposable—but not fleshed out enough for me to care.

The pacing is all over the place.
First 5 episodes: almost nothing happens.
Episode 6: BOOM! lore dump, ghost girls, post-human world, emotional blackmail.
Final episodes: tries to be deep but just feels like delayed melodrama.

The love story “happens”... but only when they’re doomed.
There’s no real build-up. It’s just sprinkled in like “Oh, we’re in love now. Sorry, time to die.”

The ending was supposed to be emotional... but I felt nothing.
Not a tear. Not a heartbreak. Just... emptiness. Like the show forgot to earn the sadness it was selling.

⚠️ PSA:
This anime is a promotion.
It’s structured to emotionally bait you and then push you toward the source material. It doesn’t care about payoff—it wants you to buy the light novel.

💭 Final Thoughts:
Others say “mixed feelings.”
I say I hate this anime.
The concept? Great.
The execution? A ghost with a pretty face but no soul.

If you want to suffer with little payoff and feel like your sadness was borrowed and returned late—sure, go ahead.

As for me?
I’m moving on. The world didn’t end. My patience almost did.
