Made in Abyss is probably the most beautifully crafted Fantasy world I have ever seen. Paired with wonderful Music, gorgeous Background art and a wonderful Score. Making such an abstract concept an antagonist you can beat up is a really bad move for the show considering how creative it had been at personifying trauma and the ways to beat it. Both anime are pretty similar to me at least. Sure, there’s differences, but Hakyuu Houshin Engi reminds me of Akame ga Kill!. Akame ga Kill! has much better pacing, however.
