It's over 1000!

Finally got to 1000 completed TV series. #1000 was Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu: Uta Koi, which was a very nice anime. I was about to finish Mermaid Melody but I decided that an anime like that shouldn't be allowed to be #1000. I'm not sure what my next goal should be. Maybe 1500 completed entries before the year is over.

900!

I made it to 900 completed TV series but I accidentally went over 230 for manga entries. I didn't want to end the year without my total entries count ending in 0 but I don't know if I have time to watch and read that much in just 2 days. I guess I'll have to settle for it ending in a 5.

I am silly.

Who cares about Christmas when there's figure skating to watch. Japanese Nationals ended today and Russian Nationals started today.

I am so proud of my favorite skater, Daisuke Takahashi, for landing a quad toe-triple toe for the first time since 2005. I thought he would never be able to quad again after his injury but he proved me wrong. The funny thing was that even his coach didn't expect him to do it. He decided to do it at the last minute and it worked! He fell on the quad in the free skate but at least he rotated it. I am hoping that he can be the World Champion again.

I'm also really happy that Tatsuki Machida and Takahito Mura will be going to Four Continents but it makes me even more sad that I can't go. It's so frustrating to have a figure skating competition so close but not being able to go to it. I'm sure it would be my only chance to ever see Tatsuki skate live.

In ladies, no one skated great but I'm really proud of Mao for being able to skate so soon after her mother died. It makes me cry every time I think about it. I'm glad she has another national title and I hope she wins Worlds.

I'm glad this Nationals wasn't as stressful as last Japanese Nationals when I was worried about Daisuke and Mao not making the World team.

In Russian Nationals news, Evgeni Plushenko is back! He's actually one of my least favorite skaters but it's always cool to see the "old" skaters do so well. I'd rather have him be the #1 Russian guy than Gachinski. The ladies short program starts tomorrow. I'm hoping so hard that Adelina will skate amazingly and win again.

Now for anime-related stuff. I recently re-watched the Princess Tutu with my little sisters and they loved it. One of them keeps imitating Tutu's "Will you dance with me?" mime. It's cute. I really wish I could have gotten the Princess Tutu boxset for Christmas. I want to watch all the extras.

Umineko EP8 has been translated but I can't play it and I keep getting spoiled about stuff. I hope someone puts it on Youtube.

I'm going to try to finish 900 anime and 230 manga before the year is over. So right now, I need to find more manga to read.

Blogging about something other than anime because I feel like it

The figure skating season has officially started now. I actually stayed up until 3:00am to see the results of the first Junior Grand Prix event even though I'm really sick. I am way too obsessed with skating.

The good news is that the ISU finally decided to give us videos of the JGP. And they are free! Here is the channel http://www.youtube.com/user/ISUJGP2011

They upload them about 5 minutes after the skater is done. It's not the same as watching it live but it's pretty close. It's so much better than staying up all night refreshing the results page like I did last year.

I love trying to predict the results for skating competitions. I made a list of who I think will be in the top 10 before the competition started.

I didn't do a great job with my predictions. It's so hard with juniors. Some skaters come out of nowhere and do well and then the ones I expect to do well, have a total meltdown. At least it's just the short program. Maybe after the long program, the results will be closer to what I have.

It is so embarrassing that one of the American pairs is just a little bit above the Swedish pair. I don't know if the US will get any medals here. Maybe in ice dance which starts at 3:00am tomorrow. I probably won't stay up for that.

800!

A year ago I got to 700 TV series and now I'm at 800. #800 was Stratos 4 which was a decent anime. A lot better than all the harem anime I've been watching lately.

Since figure skating season is starting soon, I probably won't be watching any anime other than currently airing ones until spring.

It's been 11 months since my last blog and I have 1111 completed entries, 777
completed TV series and 222 completed manga entries. I thought that was pretty cool :)

I made it!

I made it to 1000 and 200 after all.

For anime, #1000 was Kaleido Star: Legend of Phoenix which was better than the series since it focused more on Layla than Sora. Though it made me ship Layla/Sora.

For manga, #200 was A Cat That Loved a Fish. I was hoping it would be about an actual cat that loved a fish but it wasn't :(

I will try to finish everything on my currently watching list and from next season I will watch Bakuman and maybe two other series. But I'm mostly done with anime now.

700!

http://myanimelist.net/blog.php?eid=75628

I wasn't really trying to get to 700 but I noticed I only needed one more to get to 700 so I finished the last 6 episodes of Tentai Senshi Sunred 2 even though they haven't been subbed yet. I was tired of waiting.

It doesn't look like I'll get to 1000 completed entries before college starts but I got close so hooray for me. I think I can still get to 200 manga.

My laptop is all virus infested again and no one wants to fix it this time. Luckily, I moved a bunch of anime and manga to another computer before this happened so it's still okay for now.

I was going to try to get 1000 completed entries for anime and 200 for manga this year but that's probably not possible now so my current goal is to get down to 35 entries on my Plan To Watch list and Plan to Read list before the Olympics.

I made it to 100 manga! #100 was Monster. It's the same as the anime but it was nice to see the story again without having to watch 74 episodes of anime. Johan is so delicious <3

I also finished Cardcaptor Sakura and Kannazuki no Miko today. CCS was pretty messed up. It's easy to tell that it's a CLAMP manga. I liked it though. I normally don't like shotas much but Syaoran was so adorable.

Kannazuki no Miko manga was hilariously bad and seemed even worse than the anime even though it's pretty much the same. I wanted to punch Himeko for saying "Kyaa~" so many times.
