<description>I really like Motoko&apos;s character, she is one tough, take charge and bad-ass chick! She&apos;s not only smart but she uses her female instincts (&amp;quot;I feel it in my ghost&amp;quot;) to good use during critical situations. I also like the way she injects her dry humor, &amp;quot;maybe its that time of the month&amp;quot; or &amp;quot;must be having my period&amp;quot; much to Batou&apos;s and company&apos;s amazement and surprise.

From her strong exterior, I was able to appreciate her more as the series progressed. Watching the series I learned that she is not all that hard and cold, she is still in essence a woman with a heart and is vulnerable. I felt sad for her when I learned that she was cyberized at a very young age. It was hinted in Season 1 Missing Hearts Episode and further expounded in 2nd Gig. Also, the story between her and Kuze, how they met through such unfortunate circumstances touched my heart. I originally saw excerpts of the episode form the internet and I have to admit my eyes welled up!

In the episode where they were trapped after the missile attack was beautifully made. The animators and sound technicians were able to capture the mood of the moment. The look in Motoko&apos;s eyes, her face, her lips revealed she is a woman who had once loved but lost it and was able to find it again. It was just so ironic that these star crossed lovers who were able to meet again would be separated by fate once more.
