Just announced that a new anime adaption of Nitro+'s Phantom of Inferno is being produced. The game itself is completely awesome and deserves much better treatment then the two crappy OVA's it got. However, it's being produced by Bee Train, so maybe I should be a little less hopeful...

Wagaya no Oinari-sama is over

Another show under the belt which leaves me with the same feelings of completion and wistfulness after everything is over. Oinari-sama truly is a good slice-of-life/comedy/action/ everything in a hot pot kind of show which is sadly underrated. It's a show about a lot of girls based around one guy that doesn't come off like another harem cliche. Partly this is because all the girls are funny and unique in their own way, and benefit from a truly excellent voice cast. Hearing Yukana as Kuu-chan truly is a sublime experience. The show also has the recognition for me of featuring a kid, Tohru, who not only realistically acts like a kid, but because of this comes off as an incredibly likable little brother. As with all works based on a continuing series the show doesn't have the most satisfying conclusion. I would of like for Mubyou to show up again and for Tama-chan to have received more screen time, but the show wrapped everything up as best it could in one of those cyclical endings that I really enjoy. Hopefully there will be a second season at some point.

I love how Ranka's singing of Do You Remember Love? is in a completely opposite situation than the situation when Minmei first sung it. Now that's irony.

In episode 21 of Blassreiter Xargin kills Victor by smashing him into a giant server and manipulating the wires to dig into his insides and kill him. Victor was a bastard but that's still a harsh death, especially afterwards when we see Mei Feng go berserk trying to get him out. Yep, Blassreiter is still one dark show.

A million people have already said a million things about this episode so I don't really feel like adding anything else. I will say that Ranka acted stupid even after getting Sheryl slapped, naked loli love confessions are the best kind of love confessions, and that Michel's death, while heroic, reminded me of Starship Trooper's in a funny way. DAMN DIRTY BUGS!

Gundam X is almost reaching Kawamori levels of mysticism now. Though I suppose it's not as bad as Betterman, where the Neuronoids literally ran off dolphin brains. Actually works out better than it sounds.

Best episode yet. Fubiko being called the clumsy maid by everyone, which she really is now, Liz's fear of crows, the insane miko antenna to a perverted god, all were hilarious. Even Ayakashi's horrible sexy scene was funny, though so very wrong. And Maid Guy X-ray never gets old.
