<description>It&apos;s time for the most prestigious awards of 2011, the inaugural jahern awards for 2011! Let&apos;s get to it.

Top 10 Anime Series of 2011:

1. Madoka - the only anime to make me cry!
2. Penguindrum - first 12 eps are Madoka-level, last 5 eps get too dark and out-of-character with the rest of the series unfortunately
3. Ano Hana - just great realism, although too much crying
4. Chiayafuru - best competitive anime I&apos;ve seen. Great first half, keep it up!
5. Freezing - fanservice and surprisingly good fun, not to be taken seriously
6. Gosick - last 10 eps made this awesome
7. Un-Go - most complex anime of 2011, great mysteries
8. Fate/Zero - fine adaptation of the novels
9. Blood-C - great battle scenes, shame about everything else (including the plot). But the last ep - wow.
10. C3 - loved the different art styles and mood swings, first ep the worst.
= Level E - the first three eps are amazing, only slight drop after this. Very funny.

That&apos;s the end of that. I admit the non-anime series lists are quite short, but I hope to put that right next year (edit: oops). I thought I&apos;d include current series that haven&apos;t finished yet, as they deserve a mention for their efforts. And I haven&apos;t watched Steins Gate, but may do when the movie comes out. See you all next year for the next jahern awards extravaganza!

If you want to discuss, please don&apos;t!
