Ah. Just finished updating my goodreads lists after getting back from Hastings!

First thing today, i went to the Post Office to mail some letters, had them weighed just in case as usual, and got mehself a page of those new prettiful lighthouse stamps. <3's hee.

After that, went to Hastings to pick up mehz books that came in~ i was told only 4 came in, but after a look at my account on the computer, it appeared that EVERYTHING was in! haha. Well, one novel was a copy of the one i already found earlier (at Hastings. Kathy didn't see it right away so she went ahead and ordered it just in case). And i'm missing the 1st vol. of the 1-800-WHERE-R-U series by Meg Cabot. I'll be calling later, and also have to check up on a novel i THINK but am NOT SURE that i ordered. i think it'll come in later, but i want to be sure.

Put two more novels on special order from Hasting: Gemma Doyle series vols. 1+2, The Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels.

I just recently counted the novels i bought TODAY and the novels i bought LAST WEEK (they're on the table next to the computer desk. haha laziness), and came to a startling 21 novels. In two fecking weeks. WTH. I've NEVER bought that many in a month, nonetheless only 2 weeks! @w@; Of course there was this one time with the stimulus check from Obama and i ended up with over 23 novels that month, but that was only a one-time deal. and i PLANNED to do that. this time, i just started buying and ordering on a whim and ended up with 21. rofl. Must be my lucky number-- i'm turning 21 on August 7th. xD;

Mom said to me earlier that i must have some sort of book fetish, and asked (sarcastically, of course) is i orgasm from smelling the pages or get off on them, and i buy more because i keep messing them up. ROFL. oh yeah bby.

So as usual, 'ze lists:

Bought Last Week:

Mood: Accomplished Shopaholic. Thirsty.

Listening to: The air whooshing through the vents, background noise from the livingrrom T.V., and the clickity-clacking of the keyboard beneath my fingertips.

i haven't watched anime/read manga since mid December last year (2008). yet i still gave my aunt a list of manga i'd like for her to get from BookOff and Kinokuniya in NYC. i will not watch anime, ever again. i thought i wasn't going to read manga, ever again. will i read the manga my aunt sends me? i'm not sure. i probably will, since i still like it. i probably will because i miss it, somewhat.

i don't listen to japanese music anymore!! omgwtfbbq! though, i keep getting the feeling i want to listen to Abingdon Boys School again. i won't, though. ever. i'm done! done with that phase. i may have a few relapses with manga, but reading is different than my need for certain kinds of music. i breath pages of literature. i'll take it in any form i can get my hands on. if that means i read manga every now and then, then so be it. but i'll eventually fully move out of that phase as well.

i still have 25+ novels to read. but i haven't been in the reading mode in about two months now. sickeningly, i still buy books i'd like to read whenever i see them at wal-mart. i haven't been to Hastings (my usual book supplier) in a long time. i really miss my beginning-of-the-month book splurges. i really really do. ; - ;! BUT-T!

i will be remodeling my room next month!(july!) new furniture yeeeeeeeey~ i'll be getting help from my stepfather, Robert, if the total goes above my $800. i'll be paying him back, of course. if anything i'm good at paying what i owe. *nodnod* it'll have to start in September, though...

August is the month of birthdays! @w@;
mom=-6th
mine=7th
robert=13th
aunt margie=28th

and my usual $100 goes toward the DSL/phone bill. then i have $300 to split between mom and robert, and get my aunt a birthday card n' maybe a little som'n random. idk. perfume or something. i can't afford what she usually wants to get--her husband is the one that buys it for her those times. haha.
for mom, robert agreed to split the cost of a silver chain necklace and a nice large turquoise pendant--make it a gift from the both of us. that way, we'd be killing two birds with one stone: i don't have enough money on my own, robert doesn't know what to get her--and mom won't freak over the price if it was a joint project type thing.

for robert, i was planning on looking around for fingerless gloves that heat up (or something similar to that). since he doesn't celebrate his birthday, i told him ahead of time as a warning. he whined for a bit before agreeing that it would be perfect for his arthritic hands. keeping his hands warm is imperative when in a very air-conditioned room. *nodnod* it'll be a sort-of thank you gift for the help he'll be giving me with the lending of money for my room.

for me from mom: a DVD player that reads both standard and BluRay media.
for me from robert: a few charms for my nearly-bare charm bracelet (i told him to surprise me, but to make SURE to get the little turtle charm).
for me from my aunt: a new 120Gb iPod (wootwoot!)

Mood: one, two, three. uhh..testing please. testing onetwothree.
