"Higher daddy higher" a little girls laughing voice says Wosh, "is that high enough princess" says a mans voice It was my 5th birthday and we were on my way home from the resteraunt my parents had taken me to celebrate my special day. I was in between my parents and they were swinging me up in the air. I was so excited, I had finally turned 5 years old, I was no longer a baby but a big girl now and I would not forget it. I looked up at the night sky it was really dark with no stars out tonight,I got the chills. This horrible feeling started in my stomach as we turned down an ally. Drip, drip, drip I could hear water from lasts night rain falling. A man was standing in the stadows at the end of the ally, I looked up at daddy and asked " are we almost home, I'm scared" "Theres nothing to be scared of Princess, I wont let anything happen to you" he said. I didn't know that those would be the last words my father would speak to me. 10 year later Stella, stood on the roof top of her apartment looking out onto NY, wondering what all the people down there were doing or thinking. The bright lights from the city and the stars seemed to blend together until you couldn't tell them apart.
