Finally saw the end of Claymore tonight. At least, what I'm hoping is just the end of the first season.

The episode started off great, the fight between Clair and Priscilla continued and was executed fairly well. I was quite happy with the first half.

The second half slowed down quite a bit. I didn't mind Raki's interferrence, I actually had expected it. What I really didn't like, was the lack of any real resolution. The episode leaves off with Easley grabbing Priscilla, letting off a small sample of his power, and disappearing. Clair is back in her Human form thanks to the final efforts of Jean, and the others are all safe and sound. The episode ends with all four of them deciding to abandon the Organization, all fairly resolute with the exception of Clair who has been left broken by Jean's sacrifice, feeling she has no reason to live because of her failure to kill Priscilla.

With the main plot point left unresolved and any truths about the Organization remaining in the shadows, I have to wonder what the point of the series was. It felt much like the end of Inu Yasha, Naraku has escaped and our "heroes" are going to keep on truck'n.

I can only hope there are plans for a second season that I haven't heard of yet because otherwise that ending is quite bitter.

Just a note before I leave you, I've been very busy with school so if there has been any news I could have easily missed it. If not, I will certainly be keeping an eye out.
