Black Butler was an anime I was surprised that I liked. This is about a boy named Ciel Phantomhive who is the only child of the Phantomhive family which is a very rich and known family throughout London. Ciel is served by a butler named Sebastian Michaelis but he is no ordinary butler he is a demon. Ciel made a deal with him when his family’s home burned to the ground killing his parents in the process and leaving him as an orphan. Part of the deal with Sebastian was that he will serve as his butler and obey his every command until Ciel has gotten revenge on the people who helped kill his parents. After the deal is complete Sebastian gets his soul. It took me forever to actually watch this because like the saying goes I judge a book by its cover. I thought the story would have been stupid because it was about a boy and a butler but I didn’t know until I watched it that the butler was actually a demon which made the story so much more interesting. After finishing the story I realized that it was totally worth watching. The story was amazing and now Ciel and Sebastian are two of my most favorite characters.
