Preliminary (33/98 chp)
Introduction:
Basically, Legend of the Sun Knight is a story that reveals the secret daily life of being a Holy Knight. The funniest thing about the Holy Knights is that, all 12 of them have their own 'predestined' character which they have to uphold in front of people. For example, the Sun Knight SHOULD BE compassionate, sympathetic, always smiling, elegant, has blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin. But in truth, except for the point regarding his appearance, the Sun Knight is the exact opposite of all the attributes. Using the first person narrative, the novel and the manhwa give readers access to the Sun Knight's most secret inner thoughts, which are practically all curses, complaints and schemes.

Story:
The story takes a few chapters to build up. The beginning is admittedly rather bland and boring as it's basically all introductions - introducing the continent, the country, the religion, the church, the holy knights... But once these are over, it gets really interesting. Right now the manhwa has only covered the first novel, but having completed the entire novel series, I guarantee it's going to get way way way way better. The plot twists will become more and more unpredictable and one can't help but wonder how on earth did the author come up with such crazy and shocking ideas.

Art:
The first volume (manhwa) went a bit too far with the glittering effect and chibis, but luckily the artist toned them down considerable later. The story is full of bishies, so if you're looking for a treat for your eyes, LSK is your choice.

Character:
This is one of the strongest points of LSK. The Sun Knight alone is fascinating enough. Watching him struggling to put on a facade every day while venting his anger in hilarious ways is funny, but that's not all there is to him. As the story progresses, you will realise how intelligent and unfathomable he really is. He is an expert at using (often dirty) schemes to achieve his aims, but ultimately he is a kind and extremely loyal person. Simply put, he is a wonderful friend and a horrible enemy to have. As for the other characters, each of them has their own quirks, but all of them (except the old King) are charming folks.

Enjoyment:
If you have read 1/2 Prince, you'll know how humorous the author is. Reading LSK will bring you much joy and laughter. Though only in later volumes, when the story gets more serious, can readers feel the full emotional impact that the story has.

Overall:
The manhwa of Legend of Sun Knight has a lot of potential, while the novel is simply amazing. If you feel bored after reading the first few chapters, don't be so quick to judge it yet. Carry on and you'll begin to see the charms of LSK. Just be patient.
