It absolutely was NOT. This movie is unique in that no scene has ANY effect on the ones after it.
None of the characters are developed at all and none of them have any identifiable motivations.
The main character suddenly goes from a bored, lazy guy to CAPTAIN GUNG HO SPACE MAN. With NO explanation as to WHY.
I simply cannot fathom the praise for this movie. It is simply awful! For your own sake please, PLEASE stay away from it.
I wish I did.
The only positive thing I can say for this movie is that is has some fairly high quality animation. That's it though.
