Preliminary (4/12 eps)
I'll just add the obligatory disclaimer now. This is my first review so I hope I've done it right.

If you've seen anything like Lucky Star or perhaps K-On then you're no stranger to the "Cute girls doing cute things" genre that has been shorthand called Moeblob anime. Yuru Yuri is the same as those except there is one difference. Everyone in this anime is by some degree wanting to do various sexual things to the same sex.

Lets start with introducing the basic cast. From the left in the picture up top we have Funami Yui a sort of Tomboy and Responsible character. She's close friends with Toshinou Kyouko and Akaza Akari. Next is the Blonde Toshinou Kyouko, she's a wild sort of character but ultimately Yui manages to keep her in check which kind of helps when she tries to molest Akari or Chinatsu. Akaza Akari is the anime's main character I guess however she suffers from not being able to stand out very much and ends up being ignored. She's a year younger than Kyouko or Yui but that hasn't stopped them being friends. And lastly is Yoshikawa Chinatsu the newcomer to the group who admiration for Yui touches on romantic feelings while rejecting the many advances Kyouko tries to make towards her. Other characters include the student council which includes the vice president who has a deep rivalry with Kyouko but is in fact just wanting to be her friend(Can you say Tsundere), a girl who enjoys immersing herself in lesbian delusions of the vice president and Kyouko in various risque situations and two girls who fight between themselves for the position of Vice President however they really appreciate eachothers companionship(Once again Tsundere)

The art isn't bad but it's not good either. As common for moeblob characters they have large heads and absurdly big eyes.

The Music is pretty generic but for some reason the Opening theme is quite catchy. I found myself quickly humming along to it

Lets face it there's little to no plot in this show so if you're going to be watching it you'll be watching it because you either enjoy the genre or because you want something to just sit down and enjoy without thinking too hard. It's for this exact reason that I think I myself enjoy Yuru Yuri so much as I have enjoyed A-Channel in the previous season.
