Preliminary (23/38 chp)
Spoiler
I read this book the other day when I had nothing else to do at a bookstore. I saw a death note novel and got interested in reading it. I am so glad i did, because this novel was AWESOME. *Spoiler alert (but just a teeny weeny bit)* This is my first review so dont hate on me.

Story
Lets start with the story. It is an alternate universe where L is still alive after the kira incident, and Watari is dead. The book summarizes the last 23 days of L's life on earth. In those last days, he comes across one final mission: to take care of a little girl, and to contain a virus. The story seems kind of off because it doesnt really have that "Death Note" aura, but let me tell you this: You wont be disappointed. 10/10

Character
As many of you know, L is a detective with a heart of a stone; not letting emotions interfere with his sense of justice. In the novel, he starts out as being the cold, emotionless detective everyone views him as but softens up to being more "human." This aspect of the novel is a tear jerker, because it shows just how much L cares about the people around him, especially the little girl. Even I was almost about to cry. 10/10

Enjoyment
Multiple times in the novel, there have been parts that makes the reader REALLY mad (betrayal, unnecesary tragedy, etc). Normally, when these come into face with a typical protagonist in most novels, they freak out and give the antagonists what they want. When these come into face with L, his calm and calculating personality and actions leaves the antagonists confused and often angered. This is what i liked most about the novel because i would just jump and shout "THAT ISNT WHAT YOU EXPECTED NOW WASNT IT?" This wasnt the only part i enjoyed about this novel, but it was my favorite part about it. 10/10

Overall
Do i even have to say it? 10/10
