Since it's a sports anime it doesn't really have the thickest plot. But I love the show for doing the most for what it's got. I personally love the heck out of this show and I'm not the biggest baseball fan, I'm more of a basketball, football fan. but doing an anime on baseball is Much more intriguing. I Love Sawamura and the rest of characters in this show. Very amusing. And lots of unexpected yet realistic things happen in this show. I love how it's not always a home run. In an anime you'd expect more spectacular things to happen but sometimes it's just an RBI Double to win. They have foul balls, pitching to contact, stealing bases, and emphasize everyone's roles on the team so everyone seems useful.
And the music... I can't state how much the music hypes me up when I'm watching the show and the ball flies in slow motion. My heart beats at the ninth inning of every game when Sawamura pitches that last ball. In terms of hype, this is the hypest anime I've ever seen. In my opinion, this is this is the best sports anime out there.
