This is a bad anime...as far as the visual goes. In the sense that during pretty much any of the fight scenes(especially big fights), the camera is never ON the characters. The only time you really get to see any fighting is just a typical punch or kick and clashing of sword/knives. Another thing is the blood...it is literally this bright red color. Completely unrealistic.

That being said as poor as the visual are, I actually enjoyed this anime. The story was a bit ehh at times and it felt like it was trying to do a bit too much at one time. That being said, the story was engaging enough for me to get into. But what makes the anime so amazing is the fact that the characters really engaged me. I was rooting for many of them and their storylines and development and I think this anime truly did well with most of the characters(especially Keisuke) and it was just an awesome experience. My only major complaint was Akira...his personality and his strength just didn't seem consistent to me. Also, Shiki....he is a fan favorite but this anime did him no justice in my opinion and he came off as a caricature. Keisuke and Rin(to a much lesser) extent are the two characters I enjoyed the most.

All in all, it wasn't a bad anime. Not one of my favorites but it is something I don't regret watching in the least. The only other complaint I have with this anime is the lack of Boy's love. Based off the game it is originally from, I didn't expect anything too graphic but there were many scenes I felt were teasing to the point of taunting and I went into this anime expecting a kiss at least and got nothing.
