Preliminary (15/24 chp)
After seeing that Boku to Majo no Jikan didn't have any reviews, I thought I'd make one as it was quite an enjoyable read.

The story of Boku to Majo no Jikan revolves around Tsuzuri Enji, a high schooler who in the hope of meeting a girl around the corner gets hit by a truck instead and consequently dies. Helped by a witch named Hakuu to revive, the story between these two starts.

The premise is pretty generic, but really isn't of much importance as its focus lays mainly in the comedy genre. By using superelemental beings and powers, the author manages to create amusing situations, while at the same time introducing more information about the supernatural aspect of the story.

The chapters are so far episodic, which I think fits well with this type of manga, making the chapters neither too long or too short.

The characters are simplistic and no real character development takes place beside the fact how the lead character deals with the witch Hakuu and the supernatural beings. This is fine for this type of manga, as it makes it easier for the reader to follow the plot and jokes that are made.

So far enough characters have been introduced for the story: a witch, a fighting obsessed high schooler, a perverted one, a mysterious guy... All with the purpose of keeping the manga enjoyable and fresh. This may bother some readers, but I personally didn't find it a nuisance, as it generally managed to maintain it interesting.

The art of Boku to Majo no Jikan is well done: it shows detailed scenarios where necessary, and simplistic ones whenever it is necessary to enhance the jokes made. There is also a wide variety of different character faces, making it easier for the reader to distinguish between the different secondary characters. Otherwise the art fits well with the storytelling and is nothing innovative.

Boku to Majo no Jikan was overall a good read, from the amusing situations to the supernatural aspect of the story. I personally like the comedy genre, so for readers that don't like or either don't care about the comedy, or are searching for a good story, I wouldn't recommend this manga. Otherwise, if you have some free time and don't know what to read, this may be something for you as it is relatively short.

Thanks for reading.
