Gintama (Anime) add (All reviews)
Jul 6, 2015
Preliminary (42/201 eps)
If you want some 4th wall breaker like Deadpool and you're also a fan of anime, then meet Gintoki, and the rest of the Gintama Franchise.

Gintama is one of my favorite Animes from 2006. And because I watched the 2015 version of Gintama by default, and missing out all the important plots of the story from the past, maybe, I thought to myself, maybe I'll start when it all started. And as I started to watch this anime, I'd realized that each episodes are (Mwah) Bellissimo Magnifico as I say. The storytelling of each episodes are beautifully memorable, with a backstory from each and single one of the characters from Gintama franchise, and a lot of Moral Lessons. I mean, it also making me cry (Almost) anytime they'd wanted to make a comedic break for now and focuses more on drama, and I actually like it, from the first episode of the Gintama when he's family abandons him because of their house, to Kagura's family problems, and more...

And when it comes to comedy on the other hand, damn, I could say, that those comic relief moments are really, REALLY funny as Hell. And Gaddamit, I can't even help myself but to laugh at those so many funny quickliners from sequences to those characters in the Gintama Universe. So if you want to held a "Don't try to laugh Contest" then I dare you to don't even try to laugh those scenes from Gintama not even a smile. Also, speaking of 4th wall, Gintama also breaks those 4th wall not only in the JUMP Manga Universe, but also other universe as well, like the movie "Aliens", non-JUMP Universe like Detective Conan to Yatterman, any personalties from Japan to Jackie Chan, and also YOU, the viewers of those who were watching Gintama. All of these are fan-service and I was delighted to see those kinds of things and I really, REALLY enjoyed it.

Also, there are so many character developments here, and with an added bonus of backstory from those characters, then there you have a full character package that you will surely make it memorable for you to understand their situation.

The OSTs from OP to ED are great too, but because I'm still currently watching that Anime, for now, only one song that I only like. "Mr. Raindrop" by the Hong Kong band "Amplified" (Yes, A Band... FROM HONG KONG as IN CHINA).

So, to top it all off, I'd say, if you didn't watch this anime until now, you'd better watch it now. It's on your 101 Animes You need to Watch Before You Die book, and this is one of the best animes out there. And if you'd miss this one out, you'll be the only one to blame for yourself. And if you don't like this anime, then you have no sense of humor of watching this anime. That's all I have to say.

The final Verdict For this lovable anime franchise is a Outstanding 10/10...
