If you haven't seen the anime: this is a standard shounen harem series, with slightly above average humor and art work. If you like the genre (Love Hina, To Love Ru, etc.), then you'll probably like--but not love--this one. Otherwise, go elsewhere.
Story (6): Not a lot of plot in Oreshura... but let's be honest, plot isn't really what we're here for anyway. Like other shounen romances, it starts with the prettiest girl in class asking out the main character, and involves a childhood friend, an afters school club, a tsundere, a quiet-but-aggressive girl, and eventually a beach trip. If you've ever read a shounen romance before, you've seen all of this already. Oreshura isn't a bad take on it... but there are certainly better ones.
Art (8): Personally, I thought this was the highlight of the manga. The art is consistent and solid. The girls all clearly look different from each other, and they consistently look like each other. They are also drawn well and to type, and the action within any given scene is easy to follow.
Characters (7): Largely stock characters on the surface, there are three who stand out. The main character, who is given an interesting back story, and is a little bit more than the standard "slightly perverted nice-guy" that most of these stories have. The main heroine, who is honestly wrestling with her own identity crisis--and seems just as confused about her own feelings towards the MC as the MC is. And the MC's aunt, who shows up late as a lamp-shade to wink at the cliches and tropes that dominate the story.
Enjoyment (7): Oreshura is itself a fairly standard shounen harem, and just as enjoyable as any other. What makes it a step above average, for me at least, is that Oreshura is self-aware. It knows it's hitting the standard tropes, and mocks itself for doing so, constantly winking at the reader about what's going on. Those bits were genuinely funny, and make this a solidly above average shounen harem.
Overall (7): Look, if you don't like shounen harems, stay away from this one. If you do, you can do a heck of a lot worse than Oreshura. Sure, it's based on an ongoing LN series, so the plot only comes to half a resolution, and it never really surprises you with anything. But it's a solid rendition of the genre.
